When you remove a log there are always splinters left behind.  It is to your own detriment that you assume yourself to be free of them.

It is not possible to remove all bias from your investigation/reading.
This is would be true if God were not BUT because He 'IS'
and has designed a way in which you come to Him and
there is no other way ... see below

To assume you are bias free is the greatest bias of all

For this to be true one could not come to God... but it is as I am! It is with diligence by precept upon precept and line upon line
faith is installed and sight is returned so that this becomes true to all that do so
Heb 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
KJV

What God is truly saying here is that bias can be removed but it is accomplished by the examination of the Scriptures to find
what they say and why they say it ... it is like God promises this
Ro 10:17
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
KJV

True Scripture,  but remember Jesus said "woe to you scholars" / lawyers/ rich/ popular/ etc...

because more people read the BIBLE and deny it than accept it.

Just like the scribes and pharisees who searched the Scripture because

they too thought there is life in the SCRIPTURE,  BUT THEY DIDN'T FIND IT !!!!

Jesus came to them IN PERSON,  and they, who read the Scripture daily, REJECTED HIM.

and many more today do the same exact thing, as Jesus said they would.

It is not saying that bias can be removed, it is saying that despite our bias God can still redeem us.  None of us on this side of the grave are yet perfect in any manner, and it is folly to assume we are, a dangerous folly at that.

It is more of a conjunctive effort by examining the evidence available... we do not clean ourselves of the debris but we begin to
recognize it's need to be gone! After all to have the condition of hope within all people in various forms and then to form a truth
reality that there is no hope seems to me hypocritical at best ... Love, Steven

True for you, as you believe it.  As you were taught or learned.

Don't forget  what God's Word says to you in Matthew 7 :

first get the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

He says that plain and simple.  Do you believe Him ?

This would be true if God had not taught us otherwise ... The conversation with Nicodemus 'You must be born again' sets up
the reality that within the old now is new... The remaining life has choice to increase the new or remain in the old. One always
has the old present with the new but also the reality that only the new continues past this life...  Love, Steven

If you wish to believe you have perfect understanding that is up to you.  I personally feel it is a dangerous path to tread, but we must each choose our own road.

I felt a sense of irony as I skimmed the article.   On one hand I was very impressed with their acknowledgement of the weaknesses of the common individual arguments; but then I had to raise an eyebrow at their conclusions.   They end with statements that essentially say "It's obvious the Bible is true..."  or "Those who say they don't believe in our God are liars".

Am I missing something?

Yes Beloved, Whether Or Not You And I Lie, God Be True

What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written,

“That you may be justified in your words,
and prevail when you are judged.” Romans 3:3-4 (
English Standard Version)

So, If You Are Brave Enough To Stand

Christ has liberated us to be free. Stand firm then and don't submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

On What God Shows You

No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him. John 1:18 (American King James Version)

Call

For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 (American King James Version)

Otherwise

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. John 3:36(a) (Berean Study Bible)

You Will Stay As You Are

Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him." John 3:36(b-c) (Berean Study Bible)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
