Having seen the source and meaning of sanctification, let us next trace its sphere and extent. “I pray God to sanctify you through and through” is the meaning of this verse. And then Paul specifies the threefold division of our human nature, the spirit, the soul, and the body as respectively the subjects of this work of grace. The Divine Trinity has its counterpart in human nature, at least in some feeble measure. Man has been called a trichotomy or a triplex nature, and there seems good ground to claim that this division is recognized in the Scriptures. In the original account of man's creation the body is first distinctly mentioned — “the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground.” Then we have the soul and spirit clearly distinguished in the words which follow, “God breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living soul.” We have first the breath of spirit of the Almighty imparted into man's higher being and then the physical principle constituting him a living soul.

No longer desire sin.  No longer accommodate the flesh or the world to increase in sin or to  tempt to sin or even to influence or put one in a position more likely to sin.

ONLY JESUS can accomplish this in HIS followers who call on Him to be saved. CALL ON HIM.

we all are born in to a world of sin.  we all have to run the gauntlet of religion - with ONLY ONE LIGHT at the end of the tunnel - JESUS  

religion beats us all up, black and blue, until/ unless we get set free from the "WORKS" salvation of religion that's not based on the BIBLE and FAITH IN JESUS....

we all need to be set free from the same thing as the Galatians -

and ONLY BY JESUS can we be and stay free.

Lutherans, Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Charismatics, Assembly of God, Pentacostals.....

Keeping their 'RULES' may lead to some kind of order, and be necessary for life,((physical/flesh/earth life))

but no 'RULES' can save anyone.  The NEW CREATION is ONLY from the FATHER IN HEAVEN by FAITH IN JESUS.

We HOPE everyone we pray for , and those we never know, may find the JOY OF SALVATION .We are actively praying for Lutherans and Catholics, Methodists, and Baptists, Buddhists and Hindus, JWs and Mormons, and Muslims too......((anyone anywhere that was raised in or has gone over to works based//'law'// salvation instead of by faith)).

 IF any one can be saved, it is ONLY THRU JESUS BY FAITH....  ((not by works of ecumenism or any other))

Many years ago, I read that the rcc and lutheran church were reuniting in allowing each other to participate in the same communion service, that they were trying to rebuild what luther tore apart. I knew then that the lutheran church was done. What you are seeing with your lutheran friends is the result of this.

the law, the (Torah,)) is the commandments of God, ? and so were we today have been mislead to believe the lie, that we donot follow the law of the letter for grace has come, by Jesus is to say we do not believe in the whole bible only some, and that grace has come, then we do  away with the law,

so if we believe that the whole bible  is the holy and word of God by every scripture, how is it possible to say I will only follow this part or that, would that make a person, a oxymoron ?

 so reading the bible , we get Gods instruction, and guidance, and promises, and the examples of the past, to see who God is and what God will do when we fall into the world and follow the masses , for it is a narrow and hard way and only a few find it, and so, if we for example, are not going through the straight and narrow, then we can only be going through the broad and wide which leads to destruction and death to our bodies and soul, for the wages of Sin, is death ? and what is Sin, it is anything done against your own body and against God, if we are in repentance of our sins, and acknowledge to abstain from Sin, then we are trying to walk in the spirit,

 now if we are not walking according to the law of God given to us by the torah the first five books of the bible,then we are walking in the spirit , for we cannot be walking in the spirit of God if we are not following His commandments and instructions, there is no way,

 so we see many say the law is done away and we are now under grace that we no longer, follow the law, of moses , or the Torah, ?

But, if we follow God we follow all that we can , and nothing is removed, or not valid, for all is valid from the beginning until now,

 this is fact and this is truth , how can any one say they follow God and not keep His commandments, ?

then we would not be following God as we say we do , this is clear, Grace came to fulfill where the soul needed to be saved and the power of death and sin destroyed, that the simple law, was not able to do , but was pointed to the Son of God to fulfill and to complete, as nailing it all to the cross, once and for all,

 so if we hear what the sprit tells us, in our hearts and minds, today , is the same as yesterday , for the word of God, does not change at all, but comes to power when the believer places His or Her mind, and strong hand to the plow, and does not look back

 so the teaching of law and grace, needs to be clear,, for Jesus the son of God came to do the will of the father and to finish the work, needed to be so that the truth be laid, and the corner stone is set, and we build upon this,

 God cannot go back on what God has set and abolish , any tittle or jot, for it is all valid and remains,

 now the Talmud, is not of Gods instruction, but the laws made up by man made ideas and ways, to set a fence around what God has already ordained to be law ,grace and truth , this is what the bible tells, us.

 and for while we were yet sinners Jesus died for us, so that we would follow Him and His will, and not remove anything that He or the Father, has set in place, so we are not to add too, or take away from scripture, for we are sinners saved by Grace, and God is God.

There is something you forget about, this God of your, the God of the Law exist only in your mind. 

He can never approve or disapprove, reward or punish. He is past, he is gone.

Jesus is what you need, to have life. 

Do you thing that anyone could have the life of God by following the Law, and I throw in the sacrifices for the forgivness of sins, and another one the high priesthood, could the God of the Law give to anyone life, even to anyone of his high priest, or even to Aaron.

Christ did not "add" grace. The law and prophets spoke of the Lord and his grace long before he appeared. They foreshadowed him and his mercy all throughout the books of Moses and the prophets.
