Alright, first of all, Im not Christian, but I won't discuss my beliefs in this thread. Lets just pretend I am Christian for a minute or two.

Alright, so people are imperfect we know that. Alright, Satan has the goal of trying to get us to move away from god. Okay. Everyone agree so far? good.

Now lets go further, an evil man, working for the devil, lets say he sold his soul or something, not literal, but he works for satan, is going around pretending to be good and preaching gods word. Slowly and gradually he manipulates the people that follow him. They are being brainwashed, since its a gradual process they dont notice the differences before they are brainwashed by him.

So when they die, do they get punished for being taken advantage of? If so, is this right? Or should the one who actually manipulated them into thinking he was of god get the punishment?

They can't be taken advantage of, they had the "real" deal the whole time, they just didn't want the Truth, even though it was offered, they chose not to take it. So, how do you figure they were taken advantage of?

They didnt know it was the real truth, they were brainwashed by this guy that he was the real truth. He started out preaching the bible but little by little made comments or taught things that were different, slowly but surely they would believe anything he said, he "had them under his spell". They didn't choose not to believe the truth, because they were told it wasnt the truth, and they believed anything that man said because he evilly took them and took their minds under control.

And why weren't they in God's Word themselves??? Were they only hearing the Word from him, instead of seeking God on their own time? So, would you think they really were in an intimate relationship with the Lord, if they never pursued Him on their own?

Hello Alexd,

Actually what you need to understand is that everyone deserves to go ge to hell for all are guilty.

Now as far as your question about one being decieved, God still holds us all accountable for our own actions, and chances are these who are being decieved have at least heard of Jesus.

Take for instance Adam and Eve in the garden:

Gen 3:12) The man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate."

13) Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

14)  The LORD God said to the serpent,

        "Because you have done this,

        Cursed are you more than all cattle,

        And more than every beast of the field;

        On your belly you will go,

        And dust you will eat

        All the days of your life;

15)  And I will put enmity

        Between you and the woman,

        And between your seed and her seed;

        He shall bruise you on the head,

        And you shall bruise him on the heel."

  16To the woman He said,

        "I will greatly multiply

        Your pain in childbirth,

        In pain you will bring forth children;

        Yet your desire will be for your husband,

        And he will rule over you."

17) Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it';

        Cursed is the ground because of you;

        In toil you will eat of it

        All the days of your life.

As you see the Lord held each accountable for their own actions. Paul tells us that we are without excuse.

Romans 1:20

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

The good news is, that as long as they still draw breath on this side of death, they still have a chance to repent and turn to Jesus. Is there anyone you know personally? or is it perhaps yourself?

Alex, God is in control of everything. No one is beyond knowing the truth, knowing Him, knowing about Jesus's sacrifice for us to give us eternal life in heaven. It is impossible for a person not to know that truth. God loves all of us and will make clear to everybody about His plan of salvation for us.

Blessings. :emot-pray:

Good reply JesusisG-d2.

Alex we may not be able to work out exactly the way that G-d is going to judge the whole earth...those that have never heard the Gospel...those that have been murdered and abused when only children...or like you say those led astray or who join the religion of their peers simply because that is all they know.

What we do know is that the L-rd He is G-d and we can be 100% confident that He will deal righteously with all of us...according to His own Holiness and incorruptible nature...and not according to how unfair or biased we might consider His judgements...He is always right...He is always just...and He is always true...and every knee will bow before the L-rd.

G-d does not make mistakes...He does not slip up or forget to save someone or accidently cast someone into outer darkness on a whim or a fit of anger. He will judge us by His Holy standards...it is laughable that we should try and judge Him by ours..(but He understands this fraility).

Eternal life comes only through the L-rd Jesus the Messiah.

John 3:36 One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won't see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."

Exodus 15:11 Who is like you, LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

1Kings 8:23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

Genesis 18:23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

Gen 18:24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

Gen 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Gen 18:26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

Greetings Alex D,

Your question reveals that you do not know God, nor the power of the Holy Spirit which is given every believer when he/she repents and follows Christ. This is what separates Christianity from all the other "religions". We do not follow a "religion", we have a personal relationship with the Creator God in the person of Jesus Christ. When we become "born again" He sends the Holy Spirit to "live in us". So if we are "truly" born again, the Holy Spirit, (if we are listening to Him) will let us know when someone attempts to "lead us astray".

What you are describing of course, is when the "False Prophet" shall arise in the last days and "lead many astray". But BEFORE he is allowed to do that, the TRUE "saints of God" are sealed with the Holy Spirit and need not fear that someone will come along and lead them to perdition.

So you see, your question tips off the Christian that you are not born again.

My question would be why you are interested? Do you desire to know the truth? If so, there are many solid, mature Christians here that will help you along the way. Simply put, you are destined to perdition unless you forsake your old ways and accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. When the Holy Spirit comes to you, then you will begin to understand and will open up the whole plan of salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ to you. I hope you give that some consideration. Jesus is ALIVE, He is Lord and God, and He is currently ruling from the throne of heaven. He loves you enough to have died for you, even if you were the only person on earth, He would have gone to the cross just for you.

Please give this some thought. Your eternal life is at stake.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Alex,

You should be interested in your own future, not the hypothetical future of others. Here it is in plain terms, written out.

Mankind is sinful. Every small sin condemns us. No one person is sinless, except Jesus who is Son of God and part of the Trinity of God. Without Jesus, mankind is doomed to hell. The Lord loves us so much though, that He sent Jesus to die for your sins, for my sins, for the sins of the world. BUT you must accept the sacrifice. You must believe in Him and have Him in your heart. That is the way to escape a tragic judgment from God, to escape hell. Alex, I fully trust in the Lord to be righteous and judge fairly. Loopholes wont exist however. Each one of us is fully accountable to Him. You have heard the truth about Him. I hope you choose wisely Alex.

You know, when I accepted Jesus, I didnt believe in hell until after I accepted Him. Only in those seconds right after I accepted did I come to realize what I had escaped. There are better reasons to choose Jesus. That close personal relationship with the Lord is why I chose. Seek the Lord Alex.

Any other questions? Im sure we would all love to answer them. Please dont get so lost in hypothetical questions that you neglect your own salvation though.

Thank the Lord and praise Him as well that we do NOT get what we deserve, but what He offers us freely.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
