I was attending a church for several months and left the church in good standing, well after bouncing around and looking at different churches I called my pastor back a month ago to see about visiting there. After going to services for the last month, the pastor called me at work the other day and asked me where i stood on people being saved out of any bible but the king james bible and i told him i was unsettled on the issue. I explained to him how i only read, study, preach, soulwin, and reccomend the king james but im not sure as to say if a person might be saved out of another version. I do believe satan has put out these other version and they are changing God's word. but i asked him why he was asking and then he said he had another question he asked me if i read behind any authors who use any thing but the KJB. I then agian asked why and he told me that he did not want me to attend there regularly he said i could visit though. he then quoted romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. I asked him how i was causing a division when he asked me what i believed. I didnt even approach him on the subject. on top of all of that he has a brother who is in open adultery and teaches from the pulpit when i pointed this out and asked him how he can justify that he said that he could see i was bitter and that he would pray for me and hung up. im a fundamental independent baptist and im sick of some of the people in my movement who have no compassion and distort the truth of God's word to fit some type of agenda or what they believe and when you try to point it out you become their enemy.Gal 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? their a couple of things i have learned from this #1 I now see why so many people have a bad viewpoint of the fundemental movement. # 2 that man apart from God's spirit showing him his wrong even after salvation is likely to be blind to his own wrong. Pro 21:2 Every way of a man [is] right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. #3 He will think he is doing what is right in the sight of God. Pro 16:2 All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. I still have a sinful nature i wanted to cuss the man out i was angry but did not sin and i praise God for that 1Cr 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: please pray for my wife and I and pray for our former pastor that God would deal with him. this is a difficult time for us.

I think both of you are wrong. Him for allowing his brother to preach and you for believing what you believe. Please, pray tell, prior to 1611, how were people saved?

Actually its not the bible that saves you at all, Its the God of the bible that saves.

I know of people who got saved from a Good News bible, and actually the bible that is the closest to the hebrew and greek is the New American Standarsd bible.

I also know people who have got saved without reading the bible at all but cried out to God and He made Himself known.............me!

I myself like the King James and the New American Standard, but I also like to read the Good News, the Living, I dont use them for doctrine but they all have their value.

The best bibles are bound in shoe leather (Us) they are read by illiterates, scholars, friends etc...

What about people who read a Chinese translation or Greek Translation or an african Translation, are they missing out on the message of salvation. Follow Jesus, not King James.

Jesus is bigger than any translation, He is bigger than anything we can put in words, any words or translation, the main translation we should be concerned with is our translation from death to life, which is only found in Jesus Christ our Lord..

You make a good point SJ. I agree...... :emot-pray:

If the church doesn't believe that anyone can even be saved outside the KJV, it might be good not to to there anyway as far as I can see anyway.

Course I've been asked not to come back to several churches because of my stand on the trinity.... so I understand the frustration of soulwinner also.

Hello again,

Actually when I read your post, this is what I was led to believe you were saying as well. its good to see differently tho.

I explained to him how i only read, study, preach, soulwin, and reccomend the king james but im not sure as to say if a person might be saved out of another version. I do believe satan has put out these other version and they are changing God's word.

This what I guess I got this from, and I would also like to ask this, was the origional manuscripts written in King James english?

I have always believed that it is not the church or the bible that saves, I believe it is the Blood. You can have so many different versions of the Written Word, but you can't change the Blood. :emot-pray:

I have read a lot of posts online (without ever commenting) about the disputes and preferences over one version of the Bible over another. To be honest, I never really put a lot of worry into it because I always kept in mind the following verses....

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 32:11-13. NKJV

I don't think God is limited in our lives, or our walks, by which version of the Bible we use. Since none of us are perfect, we could have a perfectly transcribed version of the Bible and still mess it up with our own interpretation!

I have been in prayer over this issue for a little while and will continue to do so.

Greetings SoulWinner,

I am not sure I understand. What is it specifically you want prayer about?

Blessings,

You have myprayers that the Lord's will would be done in this situation

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
