Listen,  Clothes Don't Matter.

If you think someone is unsanitary offer them a bath, if their clothes are not suitable for the weather, offer to buy them clothes, treat others as if you are in their position. This question stems from the witness of pride not love, its disappointing we have to even discuss this topic at all.

Obviously you have not read the majority of the replies in this Thread which began in April,it was already discussed that clothes would be made available for folks that did not have what would be required or deemed"appropriate"....it was an imaginary scenario,all provisions were to be made for those in need,& you do not have to discuss anything you do not want to......

   THe question was posed by me "kwikphilly",,,,,you really should not accuse anyone of having the spirit of pride (that is in violation of our Terms of Service) we debate issues,not people,,,,,there is no need for personal attacks,especially when you knomw nothing about a person.....if you did read any of my posts in this imaginary scenario you would not have made such an accusation....     you remain in my prayers

I was not clear, sometimes I assume people will look to the root of an issue and not just see the words.

One, I made a blanket statement, I try not to be personally confrontational, I assume people have thick skin like me.

Two, The Spirit of Pride is in all men, like I said before, blanket statement.

Three, If you or me make a statement or ask a question and someone posts a comment that has nothing to do with you or I personally, no finger pointing, why would you or I assume we are being attacked and take offense?  Because we are sensitive to others opinions based on our past experiences, which might I add, I have no knowledge of what your interactions have been like with the internet. 

I admit, I do speak in a different manner than some, because I look to the root of a problem,  not the perceived issue. I try to make people think about what I'm saying not just read it. In some cases not everyone follows, but Its how I speak.

I apologize that I was not more clear soo that you could follow my drift.

Ahhh I see, Yes, when I said the question is posed "from the witness of pride", this refers to YOU witnessing the pride of mankind, and from that witness, you have innocently posed a question to the church, about a seemingly ordinary subject, that is actually pride infiltrating the church.

Whereas you and others saw a question and answer, opinion poll, I saw an opportunity to admonish a prevalent belief that is not based in Love.

I saw the Root. Others saw the leaves.

I have an outstanding idea!! We all go back to 30A.D. And all wear cloaks, but then theres probably certain gender identifying cloaks.

Maybe what they have, is what they have, and they showed up to your church because they want some hope in their life.  

But we will always have the "Holy Clothing Police" to escort them out of the building for not dressing like a "good" Christian.

We can always quote some verses to them soo they will find Gods love after they buy some biblically preapproved clothing before finding salvation.

Theres just nothing more I can say.

What is church?

I think you may want to think again on what the difference between a place of meeting and a group of well to dos really is.

I would rather spend my sunday with the homeless than with humans that think honor and respect amongst their peers is equivalent to holiness.

I"ll say it again.  I can look very lady like in a nice pair of jeans, and a pretty blouse. They are always clean neat and pressed.  My hair is washed  ( it's short and all I have to do is wash it and run my fingers through it.)  That's what's nice about a pixie cut. And I have some make up on.  I don't dress with anything revealing, I never have, I don't feel comfortable like that.
