I would love to talk more with you about Jesus on the Cross,relative to "time" as we started in the Science Forum!!!!!! This is exciting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I did as our Worthy mods to move this discussion if they think it should be moved

According to the Gospel narratives, Jesus spent six hours dying on the cross.  Six hours is an eternity when one is tortured like Jesus was.  Jesus knew what was in store for Him the night before.  His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane was directed to the only one who could save His life, His Heavenly Father.  During Jesus' suffering before and on the cross, He never complained.  He was a willing sacrifice on our behalf.  What hurt Him the most was His brief separation from the Father.  A separation not only of space but time also.

I found the following website extremely interesting discussing Jesus' time on the cross.  Hopefully, this can lead us to a closer relationship with God, our Father, and Jesus, our Savior.

After reading your OP, Kwik, I was struck by the dream scenario.  Whenever I dream, I am IN my body and looking out and yet other people tell me they are OUTSIDE of their bodies when they dream.  I'm sure God directs most of our dreams and I have awakened before knowing that He just said something to me.  Are we outside of time in dreams?  Are mortals even able to be outside of time?  I wish I knew these things but I have a feeling we won't know until we're in the Kingdom.

     I was thinking about the constraints of space & time that we live in and I cannot imagine being Eternal,,,,,,,,incredible & exciting for a finite mind,it makes me feel so small,so humble.I can only think of when I dream,when I wake up & recollect my dreams I get the feeling of timelessness,,,,,,,,,,I don't know how long I was dreaming,in the dream I never seem to be aware of "time" & also,I don't feel like I had a physical body...lol     Sometimes I dream looking out from within a body but I cannot feel it & sometimes I see myself in my body ,,,,,,,,,Well,that's the closest I can get to imagine eternity ,,,,,,,Just think,our Heavenly Father is everywhere,all the time,He never sleeps or slumbers,He is All Knowing & Infinite,,,,,,,,,,,,,What can we say?     HALLELUYAH,Hosannah in the Highest,,,,,,He is more than Worthy of ALL our Praise,Honor,Glory and ,,,,, our Thanksgiving                                                       With love in Christ,Kwik

Check out my favorite verses in the Bible.  Psalms 147:3-5. or just look at my signature below all my posts, ( In pink) I just cannot fathom that God counts all  the stars and he has given them all a name.  There are something like 90 billion solar systems just like ours and in those solar systems there are over 100 billion stars, can you even count that high?  And yes Our God has given them all a name.  My mind just spins and my heart quickens when I begin phantom that.  Our God is Great and Mighty and yet has the time to count all of us and love all of us just where we are at, yet He refuses to leave us there.  He has so much more.  Hallelujah and praise His Holy and Mighty Name!

It has been suggested that the 12 signs of the zodiac represent the earliest form of the Gospel message.  The Jewish historian Josephus claims Seth, the third son of Adam named these constellations.  But the Bible says that God assigned the names to the stars (Psalms 147:4) as you noted.  He may have revealed these names to the early people like Seth.  So what does that mean?

Early writings on the stars gave great detail in the special meanings of all the visible stars.  The Gospel message may have been hidden there in the stars.

8 Who alone stretches out the heavens And tramples down the waves of the sea; 9 Who makes the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south; 10 Who does great things, unfathomable, And wondrous works without number.…  [Job 9:8-10]

The Pleides is 444.2 light years from Earth.  How could the splendor of the Pleides be really appreciated from Earth thousands of years before the invention of the telescope?  Did God inspire the writer of Job to write that for Job, or for us, or for both?

     Yeah Sis,it is incredible,isn't it,,,,,,,what happens,where do we go,what is actually going on when we sleep & our Heavenly Father watches over us as He NEVER slumbers or sleeps? Is that the point when we are conscious or subconscious of our actual spirit? Is it a part of the carnal mind that dreams(REMS) or is it the spirit consciousness,,,,,,whew,one day,,,,in our Glorious New Bodies we will know these things as we shall be as HE IS,,,,,,,,or are these some of the things we will remember not that will have passed away?

I wish I understood it too.  Some dreams I KNOW are from God and then there are the really dumb ones .... like walking back and forth through the house with only one slipper on because I couldn't find the other one...so I just walked back and forth.  See that kind of dream means nothing.  But the ones where you feel that He has spoken to you and the dream seems like it's days long....hmmm.  Those are the ones that baffle me.  It makes sense that God would work through dreams because that is when we are not distracted by worldly things.

     I have had dreams(at my Christian turning point after being involved in very dark occultism) where I am being heavily oppressed,almost CRUSHED by evil & horrible wickedness but because I am sleeping I could not use my voice & I would awaken abruptly & suddenly to scream out loud,JESUS,JESUS,JESUS,,,,,,,,,,,those attacks have long since faded away,,,,,I "thought" I was most vulnerable as I slept,,,,,,,,,,the Lord showed me that I am NEVER vulnerable in SPIRIT because of His Blood,,,,,,,,the mind(carnal mind) is the enemies playground,,,,,,,,,even as we sleep we can come into a place or time or consciousness where we are WALKING in Spirit & in TRUTH,,,,,,,,,,,,yes,God is here,there,everywhere,,,,,,not bound by space,time or even our subconscious.....??????/

    I know what you mean about those silly nonsensical dreams,like your one slipper,,,,,,when you wake up you think,huh? I dream many silly dreams & sometimes I can see how the theme or subject that is going on in the "real" world is incorporated into them,,,,,,eg: the TV is on & it is a vacuum cleaner ad,,,,,,I'm dreaming I am vacuuming-lok      Oi vey!!!!
