  1. 1. Are there individuals, here at Worthy, who seem to habitually turn most everything into a squabble?

Or you are or are not? It is in the eyes of the beholder here.

No it is not in the eyes of the beholder. It is God's Holy word. If a person is distorting it that is serious business in the eyes of God.

it was a generality, I was describing why people may become "militant" so to speak over a topic. perhaps it was the wrong word to use, but it was a generality, I was not accusing anyone. It wasnt personal. Like here, I made a general statement, perhaps didnt use the best word, but was discussing generalities and why I think people do the thing they do. And now you and Ted are both coming after me personally. I wasnt assigning blame, ted just did-even though, it was to a situation that hasnt even happened. And he may have been trying to drive home a point, which is fine, but it brings forth my point. People often take things that werent personal and take it personally, and then go after the person that hurt their feelings.

Like this post. It was whether people are here to cause strife. I presented my opinion. Now I have 2 people coming after me personally. Its not to the point of hostility yet, but this is how they start, oftentimes.

Nobody is coming after you that I can see. I agreed you used the word militant in general in my last post . Therefore I said this.....................

"You spoke of person's becoming militant. So to whomever it applies Patriot."

In other words, to whomever you, (or anyone) considers to be militant at any given time (in the eyes of the beholder). I am sorry if that was not clear to you.

Now I am gonna back out of this thread because it is getting out of hand already.....

not out of hand, actually. This is the kind of discussions we need. When one doesnt understand something someone else says, its ok to stop them and say hey, thats not what I meant, in a nice way, and when someone says to us that we misunderstood what they said, we need to take it with grace. Why? because it woulds top a lot of the strife from happening, if we talked out our differences, instead of going straight to the "your a heretic" and "no you are" accusations, and such. Like I said in my first post-none of us are perfect, and any time you bring a group of people together, especially a group of people who are passionate about their beliefs, there is going to be strife. It is unavoidable, im afraid, but it can be minimized by people taking the time to sit down, and talk through their issues, like were doing right now. I have taken nothing you said personally-in fact, while I did think you were turning it personally onto me, I did not detect a bit of malice in your post, and it was concerning words that me and another member did exchange, so not only were they not hostile words you said, they were appropriate.

I am sorry you thought I was getting heated (if you did) and defensive. Was merely trying to better explain my view on the matter, and how the principles I said earlier applied to the discussion at hand that is all. :D

Jesus came with an agenda and a message no one had heard before. Can we say He was stirring up strife? I believe so.

I agree, Jesus even said that He did not come to bring peace, and that a man's enemies would be of his own family etc.

However, I do not think He wants to see strife between the brethren, and that is more what I am speaking to here. Also, regardless of how highly some here think of themselves, none of them are Jesus. There can be such a thing, as righteous anger, for example, but none of us is so righteous, that we should conclude that our anger, or other behaviors, is/are always righteous, but that should be our goal.

No disrespect Patriot but........ You spoke of person's becoming militant. So to whomever it applies Patriot. I did not see ANYTHING in Ted's post accusing you of claiming to be perfect at all. Did you read his post? Maybe you have jumped the gun here perhaps?

I can see the kids in the schoolyard now, chanting "fight, fight, fight"!

False teaching is false teaching. Either you are putting out there the true literal word of God or you are not.

Those are two options, there are others!

Just an innocent, curiosity type question bopeep, are you having some sort of eye trouble lately? I ask, because you have taken to using unusually large font lately, and it has a similar effect as typing in all caps, at least to me it does.

Other than my curiosity about you recent font choices, thanks for your thoughts in the thread.

I am sorry. I will keep it smaller if that suits you best. I just think the font that comes off on Worthy might be hard for some people to see. My eyes are fine.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
