His protection is removed.   There is no way anyone would get saved during the Tribulation if God's presence were removed entirely from the earth.  There is an aspect of His presence that will not be active in that the devil will no longer be restrained.  But He will still be there for the Tribulation saints that will be saved during that time period.   He will never leave those who put their faith in Him.

That is my point, that's another hole in the pre-trib doctrine. With a post-trib rapture we don't have to leave a packet with directions behind, we will be here still spreading the Truth.

There have been many  'holocaust'  situations in human history  . There have been many terrible 'tribulations ' .

I don't think you are all that familiar with what pre-tribbers believe outside of what you have read on WBs.   As much as this is a good place, it is not the gold standard for doctrine and teaching.   I don't know any mainstream pre-trib teacher that things that the presence of God will no longer be on the earth.  So there is no whole except maybe in your understanding of the pre-trib position.  What mainstream pre-tribbers teach is that when the Church is raptured, the Holy Spirit's ministry of restraining the devil through the Church will be removed from the earth.  It is not that the Holy Spirit will be removed from the earth.

Nothing like the great Tribulation.  If you study that out in detail, it is something from which no one will escape and it will be worldwide, no where to run and no relief.

  I agree , it will be terrible , so we must be prepared   spiritually .

The only way to prepare is make sure you're born again, and are trusting in Jesus for salvation.   I do not believe those who are truly saved will go through it.   As for the actual tribulation there is no way  to prepare, though.  There will be nothing anyone can do to prepare for how terrifying it will be.  It will make the Holocaust look like a garden picnic by comparison.
