Recently i had such a strong overwhelming peace on Saturday within this church i attended on saturday , been in overtime thinking is this the new direction He wants me to follow at the same time it isnt easy as i feel comfortable where i am i know everyone

it wasnt just peace i felt but i felt the spirit helping me during each worship song i have never sung before in any other church this has never happened , any new song in those churches took me a time to sing it with confidence from knowing it however saturday was different i sung every new song with confidence like i knew it

i was Shaking with overwhelming peace it brought tears it happened twice on saturday can another couple of days be a sign ?

Even during me singing Footprints in the sand did i shake with overwhelming Emotion

im hoping i can get each of your thoughts on this including prayer and how you decipher if its the direction your to take etc , im still having to talk with many as i can about it to figure out if its the correct direction

Since one is on Saturday and one is one Sunday, why don't you attend both for a while?  That will give you time to learn more about the new church and what they believe without pulling up roots that have long been in your old church.  My experience has been that God made it very plain to me when I needed to move.  In two cases it was impossible for me to remain in the old church because of my health.  In one case I was unable to learn their new service schedule for months, and when I prayed for direction after learning it, I had people ask me to leave the service because our children were too noisy.  They had not provided the promised childcare.

I don't look for goosebumps or rely on emotions.  In fact, in the latter case I really didn't want to change churches.

Be sure that the beliefs are similar to the beliefs of Worthy, since our beliefs are those of all true Christian churches.  Be sure it doesn't believe that all other churches that worship on Sunday (or that don't agree with them) are going to hell, which is a symptom of a cult.  The Bible plainly teaches that we shouldn't judge others about what days we worship on or what holidays we keep.  So be sure that the beliefs are biblical.  I always look for a sermon that teaches the bible verse by verse through a book.  But that is my preference.  It is more important that you grow more like Christ in attitudes, are encouraged, and that the God's Word sets you free from sin.

All of that said, I am glad that God was blessing you at the new church.   However, when God speaks to us there are  usually 2 or 3 witnesses.    At Jesus' baptism there was the Voice of the Father from heaven, the gentle descent of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus, the witness of the prophets in the Bible, as well as John the Baptist himself.  So just don't be hasty but continue to look for witnesses of other kinds from God, especially from the Bible.

We often mistake our emotions for directions from God because we want to do something that feels good, so we tell ourselves "this is what God wants us to do".  I do not personally believe that is the way that God works.

Your entire first post was all about the emotions you were feeling, so it would be specious to say it wasn't emotions.   The question to ask is how does a follower of Christ separate what is human emotions from the workings of the Holy Ghost.  Emotions are fleeting and to make changes based upon them can be a risky proposition.

Looks like it is the right direction. While you can ask for input from others, it is better to know something deep within your soul and act on it (1 Kings 19:12).

All I can say is Brit. Give it time. Attend a few more times. And then see if you feel the same peace

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
