yes - but I do not have access to the sources - it seems these were the children of the other Mary sister to His mother and the wife of Clopas[Jn.19:25] - wincam

no mention of cousins or brothers.  So, the question still stands...The Bible tells us Jesus had siblings, where did they come from if not from Mary.   Would you please answer this question?

I still don't get why this is such an issue? So some think Mary didn't have more children some think she did. When we get to heaven we can ask her.

If Mary is no longer a virgin it changes her place in the Catholic Church.

Because part of the idolatry of Mary is that she is a perpetual, sinless virgin.  It's an issue because it goes to the very heart of the worship of Mary that takes place in the RCC.

Technically, they were his half brothers and half sisters since Jesus was not the son of Joseph.   But nevertheless, they are called his brothers and sisters and kicking against the goads will not change what the Bible says.   The Catholics deny the plain reading of the text and Greek and impose an inferior and sloppy hermeneutic when it comes to the Bible.

When you SAY TECHNICALLY,  aren't you saying,  "speaking from  secular viewpoint"   speaking of half-brother and Jesus  being born of Supernatural conditions hardy infers a Secular explanation.... In God.

it is not in the bible that Mary had children other than Jesus....
so where did Protestants get it from that she did....
and why do they still believe it and accept it....

:emot-heartbeat:

Beloved Some Folk Insist Dear Mary Faked Her Wedding Vows

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matthew 1:24-25

Yet The Holy Bible Clearly Shows Us

Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? Matthew 13:55=56

Mary Was True

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. Mark 6:3

~

Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
Numbers 6:24-27

Love, Your Brother Joe

according to the Jews of the day and the Protestants of today, according to their bible and interpretation they did and it was Joseph for "thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing"[Lk.2:48] - wincam

In context, that was mary talking to Jesus. So is joseph the father of Jesus?

That is not stated in scripture. Those women existed but no children are mentioned of theirs. That verse merely mentions who else stood with mary when Jesus was crucified.

No, technically does not mean "secular viewpoint."   I am speaking from the fact that biologically, they are Jesus' half siblings since they have the same mother but not the same father as Jesus has no earthly father.   Seems like you are making something out of nothing.

so why do you believe that because it is not stated and believe the other that is also not stated - wincam

as already pointed out it is not stated in scripture that Mary had other children so why do you believe in one case and not the other- you must not accept your own interpretations as and when and what and which you fancy or favour - wincam
