I have but one question. Why would one whose relationship with God is so close that God works miracles through him, yet so fearful for his life that he must have body guards? Where is the fearless faith of a true desciple? I will not say that I am any better, and yet I am not professing that God chooses to heal through me either. Even so God has allowed this apostacy for a purpose. May God have mercy on those who would seek to steal his glory. Yet, let us not cease to seek truth and in so doing may in the discovering of Gods' purpose lead us to find greater purpose in ourselves.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

when people teach the truth peoples toes get stepped on, i have seen preachers that have received death threats on a weekly bassis for preaching the truth, body guards? yes, i know of one pastor that had body guards, they were thru out the sanctuary, constantly on watch.... for it is not only the pastor that is in danger when a person wants to silence a pastor, but also the entire congregation, so the body guards are there for the congregation as well...

so to answer your question, are the body guards there just for Mr. Hinn? or are they there also for the rest of the worship team and the congregation to help keep everyone else safe.

we can also look at Pres. Reagan, he stopped going to church after he was shot.

a lot of people would have said he lost faith. that would be totally wrong, Pres. Reagan stopped going to church at that time cause he didnt want to place other people in danger when it would have been his life some one was after, he was not afraid of dying but wanted to ensure the safety of others... and Mr. Pres. Reagan had body guards around him as well.

another thing we need to think about, even with our faith in God, to have that faith work, there are times we have to take action..... for instance, a man is living in a house, and a bad storm is coming and there is an evacuation cause of flooding.

the man chooses to stay behind, saying God will protect me. the flood waters rise to about knee height, the man continues to say God will save me as the National Guard is trying to get him to leave. the flood waters rise more, and he is in the second floor of his house and a rescue boat comes by and they are trying to get him to get in the boat, the man again refuses, saying God will protect me. pretty soon, he has had to cut a hole thru the roof and climb on top of the house as it is floating down the Mississippi river, a helicopter comes along with a rescue team and are trying to get him to board the helo. the man says no, that God will protect him. the house hits a submerged bridge and breaks apart..... the man dies..... and when he is standing in front of God, he asked God why He didnt protect him, and God replied I tryed, but you refused, I sent the police to evacuate you, I sent them againt when it was knee deep, I sent the boat, and then I sent the Helicopter, and you refused my help to protect you.....

we have to use common sense folks, we can not walk into danger beig stupid, if our life is in danger, we need to ensure this is where we need to go, and then we are to take needed precautions. Even Christ avoided conflict until it was time. Christ even told his followers to purchase an item, do you recall what it was? swords...... why did Christ tell them to buy swords? for an offensive attack? no, for defense....... did they believe in God, YES....

the people that come into these services may or may not be checked out, and it would not be hard to try and get something in. who knows, that crutch might actually be a 30-30.....

I have but one question.

Oh, I've got a lot more. And I asked them in the last thread - why he never "heals" anything that one can see, like a missing limb, or a cleft lip, etc., but only "heals" things one can't see like diabetes, or "heart ailments". Or, if he will be accountable, when someone comes for healing of diabetes or "bad knees" etc. and is very overweight, that he does not gently address and counsel on the underlying issues causing the problem, which is what a Christian counselor and/or Pastor would do. What Jesus would do. Same thing with other medical problems that are caused by bad choices. Where in the Bible does it say there is some easy way out, just get a whoosh from a healer, and all your problems and consequences are gone? That is not the message of Scripture.

Or, why, if he has the power to heal, why he isn't in Children's Hospitals, healing the dying children. Or refute the proof that is caught on tape that doesn't lie.

But, in sixteen pages not one supporter would even touch those questions. They simply condemned for "unbelief" and "touching the annointed".

There is also no follow up with these people who have supposedly been healed. Not by Hinn and his crew. But, there has been follow up by non Hinn people and many have died, or are as bad or worse than before they went to the healing service. It's all an emotional experience.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

one question back,

did Jesus go to the Leper colony? yet he healed lepers....

again, I am not supporting nor standing behind Mr. Hinn. but with all the disbelief in Mr. Hinn by those that are professing to be followers of Christ, and the knocking of Mr. Hinns ways, and in all practical purposes CURSING Me. Hinn and his work, how do you expect him to manage to get much af anything done.......

Even Christ could do no great things when he went to his home town....

what is our purpose here? to go and heal everyone ????? or is it to spread the Word of God????

would you rather have your healing here which is only temporal? or would you rather have a complete healing in the next life?

why are you not seeking God to use you in such ways as healing and miricles?

or are you afraid of what God might say?

or has God already called and everyone is just afraid of stepping out to do the work?

healings are a two way street. one is the Spirit of God working thru a person, and the second way is the other person receiving the healing, they have to accept it. not unlike a person that is having a transplant, a lot like a person having a transplant, I can give you a kidney, but if your body does not accept it it does no good for you......... if the Spirit of God is offered but is rejectd then it does no good.....

we are so stuck on what we can see, even Christ told us about this.... we wont believe unless we see..... what was it Christ told Thomas and the rest? you see Me and believe..... what about those that will not see Christ, and yet they still believe?

what was it Christ saidd about needing signs so that they might believe?

something else,

several years ago, I was told that I was not to go to the "great " revivals, ( like in brownsville )..... we all were told not to go chasing after men..... why did every one waste their money going to this revival? some people lost their jobs for missing too much work.... is that good stewardship?????

we chase rainbows, the hope of something different then what we have.

if you want healing, seek the Lord, not man.... why is everyone focused on a man?

why? cause they want something to happen, and when it does not the first word out of their mouth is FRAUD...................

your words are sharper then a two edged sword. what kind words have you spoken for Mr. Hinn? or is your tongue one of them forked ones? is the left side of your face the same as the right sied? or are you also a two faced person?

are you so caught up in rules, as to the way things are suppose to be according to you that you are blind to what else is going on?

again, have you talked with Mr. Hinn about the way he conducts his services? about his methods? about what he is preaching?

WELL????? HAVE YOU?????????????

if you have not talked with Mr. Hinn about it, then you are spreading gossip, if you have and he has then ignored BIBLICAL COUNSEL, then you can take it before the body, if you have not, then it is best not to say nothing, for you have no idea what the Lord has told him.....

we may be going off of preconceived ideas, we may be only going off of what others have said, and that is rumor...... have you asked Mr. Hinn why he does soemthing? have you personally asked? have you personally checked out those that are claiming healings????? have you checked out those that claimed illness and then healing? have you investigated??????? if not, I kkdo not want to know or hear it from you.....

if you are saying something that is not true, you are not only spreading gossip but also slandering a man of God..... touching one that is annointed is not a good thing...

I say again, I am not defending Mr. Hinn, but just letting you know that there are proper ways to stop a person that is not preaching correctly, and that is thru the Word of God and yet i have not seen anyone here on this board that is talking bad about Mr. Hinn attempt to correct a brother that has fallen by the way side.....

you can talk about doing something all day long, but if you never take action it wont happen.....

it is one thing to see some one doing wrong, but if we do nothing we are just as at fault as the person doing it...

one more things........

if you see a brother slipping by the way side doing things that they should not do, and you do not stop it, they may be making an honest error, but if not stopped then next time they may do it again and if not stopped or corrected then your brother will start making the same mistake over and over again and pretty soon it becomes a habit. now you want him to stop doing what has become a habit, that is harder to get turned around after having done it over and over for so long.... did anyone try to stop any supposid wrong doings when he first started?

why not try and help him out of the grips of satan...... why are we so fast at condemning him to hell????? who were you watching? were you watching to help keep Mr. Hinn out of trouble? or were you watching to see how fast you can get Mr. Hinn in trouble and send him to hell?

if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem....

we are to stand together and keep each other our of the grips of satan, and here with Mr. Hinn every one is trying to push him closer to satan......

if he is teaching false, then approach him and try to get him to change.....

as I have said before, i do not know the man, never heard him, never sent money never seen him..... I am not defending any wrong doings of Mr. Hinn,

satan loves to point fingers, lay guilt, find fault and tear down those that are trying to do Gods work.....

those that are against God do not get pounded on..... those that are making millions and millions a year singing trash on the radio, showing off their privates on TV, beating each other up on the ice rink or on the grid iron get more of your money then Christ does....

how many of you have Cable or Satty TV so that you can watch all the ball games and other sporting events? how much does each of them pro players get?

who is your lord? the raiders? the cowboys? the royals? which is your lord? who do you give more money to? the TV stations so that you can watch your god on TV every day? or do you give more to the church?

how much time do you spend watching a sporting event?

how much time do you spend worshipping God, or giving time to spread Gods word?

who is your God????

evidently you have tried to make Mr. Benny Hinn a god, and when he did not meet with your expectations you slam him.....

what is your favorite prime time TV show? listen to the language? what kind of witness is that show? listen to each word spoken........then look at the actions.

what you will see and hear is what???????????

what god are you really following ???? be honest with yourself, for it dont matter if you lie to me, but dont lie to yourself or God........

is your life above that of Mr. Hinn? maybe Mr. Hinn ought to start spreading gossip about you with out even telling you were you have fallen short.

again, I want to say I am not condoning any wrong doing by Mr. Hinn or anyone else, we have specific Biblical ways of correcting people, and if those ways are not followed.....

well,,,,,,,,

nuff said.

I think this goes beyond just not preaching correctly. Its called preying on those who are in bad health and vulnerable. When your child is dying you will try anything. The proper way to stop this person who is to expose him or her. As far correcting a "Brother" with the word, what does the word say about lying, storing up your treasures hear on earth, and manipulating sick people out of their money so you can have that treasure in the first place? Many mainstream evengelical born again Christian leadrers have been pointing this man's "incorrect"(please!) preaching out for years and it hasn't made a dent in his pursuit of this Devilish business he conducts. If you read my post, I clearly did not condemn him to hell. I condemned his sick and mean way of obtaining wealth.

as I have said before, i do not know the man, never heard him, never sent money never seen him..... I am not defending any wrong doings of Mr. Hinn,

Hmmmm.....Lets see. You dont defend him. You imply "wrong doings". Then you turn right around and say"satan loves to point fingers, lay guilt, find fault and tear down those that are trying to do Gods work". So any crook that comes along and claims to be on Jesus's team should be allowed to just do any ol' thing they please even if it flies in the face of scripture or even comman decency. Heres the proper way. Its called the truth. SPADE=SPADE.

Okay, BH claims that He never tells anyone they are healed. He says that the people who come on his stage tell him they are healed. Okay, I might buy that, but I have watched This is Your Day and he does tell people they are healed.

But no matter, after the first dateline interview 3 years ago, Hinn started charging $75 to attend his crusade so that you could pay him $75 to tell him you have been healed. Doe that make sense?

This is such an ugly topic, but one that needs to be addressed.

The Apostle Paul never held back, even from naming names, when he spoke against people that he believed were doing evil, and he warned others. (Alexander the coppersmith) He also named those that he felt had forsaken him.

Jesus is not constrained. Jesus can heal with or without Benny Hinn.

The church has a serious creditability problem because we refuse to address the Benny Hinn's in our midst. The world takes a serious look and sees "con man" written in the excess of wealth, the Vegas style showmanship, and the delusional person worshipers that follow Mr. Hinn (yes, there are Hinn groupies).

Recent big name revelations of homosexuality in our ministry midst should be a wake up call for us all, but somehow it is not. They feast among you without fear.

The rampant greed is addressable, and it is biblical to call it to the forefront. The bible warns of those that love the wages of unrighteousness, and there are many new testament scriptures that warn us not to follow after their ways.

While I usually enjoy the Irish's posts, and I understand where they are coming from, but in this case I believe that to say nothing is similar to standing by as a young girl is being raped and questioning whether or not she was really asking for it.

Why must we wait until ABC or CBS or any other news media finally exposes evil in the ministry? If we would police our own house, we would not have international news being made when an obvious man-as-king ministry comes crashing down?

My bible never shows men promoting themselves as being acceptable. Many will come in my name.....and they will decieve many.

The Jesus that I know is meek and lowly, and He dwells with a meek and humble people, to revive the spirit of the contrite ones.

Here is a good read. (I didn't write it but I couldn't have said it better)

Here are some of the prophecies that Benny Hinn has "prophesied" and that time has passed and all of them have been false. The bible tells us that if a man prophecies and it does not come to pass, that man is not speaking of God. What bothers me today is that when people like Mr. Hinn go around and prophesies false in the name of the Lord, but when you get in a conversation with another Christian and call people like Mr. Hinn a false prophet they get offended. Why? Well one of the reasons is that most Christians now days rather follow their emotions than the solid true Word of God. If the word of God says something regarding a certain issue we have a choice to either take Gods word or trust in ourselves and in man. Mr.Hinn has over and over proved by his actions that he is a false prophet. He has not only had one false prophecy but numerous. I will write some of the recorded ones here on this page and after you read it --- you be the judge if Mr. Hinn is in fact a false prophet or a true prophet of God. I trust and hope that one day Gods people will be bold to stand up for the Truth once and for all.

Deut. 18:20-22 (NIV) "A prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death. You may say to yourselves, 'How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?' If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously..."

Deut 13:1-3 (NIV) "If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, 'Let us follow other gods' (gods you have not known) 'and let us worship them,' you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul."

The Spirit tells me - Fidel Castro will die - in the 90's. Oooh my! Some will try to kill him and they will not succeed. But there will come a change in his physical health, and he will not stay in power, and Cuba will be visited of God. (Orlando Christian Center, December 31, 1989)

The Lord also tells me to tell you in the mid 90's, about '94-'95, no later than that, God will destroy the homosexual community of America. But He will not destroy it - with what many minds have thought Him to be, He will destroy it with fire. And many will turn and be saved, and many will rebel and be destroyed. (Orlando Christian Center, December 31, 1989)

Wednesday, the Wednesday before the 20th would be the 19th, correct, no the 18th of December at 2 am I awakened to a prophecy ringing in my heart. I was hearing myself prophesy. ... I will tell you this, Satan is ready to unleash horror and terror on this earth as never before. But I heard the Lord say, literally I heard Him speak those words, He said, "Dark days are ahead for the world, and bright days for my people." (Applause) I was prophesying it. "Those who know me and those who walk with me will know light and beauty, says the Lord." God began to speak these words. ... March 3rd. I just heard March 3rd in my ears. What's March 3rd? What day is that? We don't know. I don't know what March 3rd what day it would be? I'm not sure what I would be, I don't know what crusade or service or maybe I'm not anywhere. But I'm hearing the Lord say that to me. (Benny Hinn, TBN "Praise The Lord", 12/30/02)

"The hour is urgent. Many of you have known me for many years. But I am telling you right now, things I haven't said years 'n years 'n years ago. I believe - here this, hear this! I believe, that Jesus, God's Son, is about to appear physically, in meetings and to believers around the world, to wake us up! He appeared after His resurrection and He is about to appear before His second coming! You know a prophetess sent me a word through my wife, right here, and she said 'Tell your husband that Jesus is go'n to physically appear in his meetings.' I am expecting to see, I am telling you that - I feel it's going to happen. I, I, I'm, I'm careful in how I am saying it now, because I know the people in Kenya are listening. I know deep in my soul, something supernatural is going to happen in Nai - in Nairobi Kenya. I feel that. I may very well come back, and you and Jan are coming, to - Paul and Jan are coming to Nairobi with me, but Paul, we may very well come back with footage of Jesus on the platform! You know that the Lord appeared in Romania recently, and there's a video of it? Where the Lord appeared in the back of a church and you see him on video walking down the isle? Yeah! Paul do you remember when I came on TBN years ago and showed you a clip of the Lord appearing in our church in Orlando, on the balcony on the wall? Yeah. You, you remember that? [Paul Crouch] Very well, I saw it! [benny Hinn] That was '80, 80 something, '86, what - whatever. You know I always wondered why the Lord, why did He do that? Do you know why, now I look back? That was the beginning of the greatest move of God in our church. Because '83, '84, and '85 were horrible years for me, horrible years. Eighty-six the blessings of God began, but they began with a - with this manifestation of the Lord's face on, on the balcony, that stayed for eight weeks. Eight solid weeks! The Lord has done this in the past, but He is about to do it again, now hear this, I am prophesying this! Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is about to appear physically in some churches, and some meetings, and to many of His people, for one reason - to tell you He is about to show up! To Wake Up! Jesus is coming saints! You have held back from the Lord in the past, don't you dare do it now. The day will come you'll stand before Him and give an answer. How dare we not give to God. How dare we hold back."( April 2nd, 2000 - TBN Praise-a-thon)

"The Spirit of God tells me -- an earthquake will hit the east coast of America and destroy much in the 90's."

Yep!!!! Sounds like Benny is really tuned in. It is a shame that News Networks are doing more to expose these types that some Christians. Hinn lies and drags the Lord's name around in the mud with him.

Threads such as these rotate so frequently on these boards and the focus is wrong. I think Benny Hinn has been exposed many times over. His name is probably the first that comes to people's minds when one begins to talk about televangelists who are taking people for a ride. Why do some feel the need to rehash over and over under the guise of "exposing a false prophet" when it's been done a million times. Instead of the goal of this thread being what it has become why don't we turn the tide and turn it into a thread where we offer up prayers for this guy instead. Someone said that they "shudder to think" about him standing before a Holy God. You know what? I shudder to think about myself standing before a Holy God. There is none righteous no not one and we need to remember that. Let me begin by offering a prayer for Mr. Hinn...

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in this moment asking that the Holy Spirit would work in the heart and life of Mr. Hinn. God you know that his influence is widespread and he proclaims a message that bears your name. God I pray that Satan will no longer decieve and that the Holy Spirit would have the freedom to move and convict where there needs to be conviction. I pray that strongholds will be broken over Mr. Hinn and that his ministry would become Your ministry and that You will be glorified in all that transpires. God I thank You for hearing my prayer and for answering Your way, in Your time. You are so awesome and I am so thankful for your grace and mercy. In Jesus most precious and holy name, Amen.

I cannot believe some would argue against exposing false teachers like Benny Hinn. I truly shows how poorly some fellow christians are based in Gods word.

Expose them. Expose them. Expose them. If you stand for Christ and truth you will always expose a fales teacher simply because of the fact that they are dishonouring the true Christian faith and also they are taking new fellow chrisitans and destroying their faith at times.

The apostles blatantly faught heresy and false teachers and any Christian who loves the Lord would do the same.

Shane, I don't know if you were referring to my post or not because I didn't say anything about not exposing false prophets but it got me thinking. I agree that we should expose false prophets but to merely call someone that or to say things like I posted in my previous post is not something that I would think God would have in mind. In exposing a false prophet I think one should point out what the person is doing and then go to the Bible to point out how that contradicts God's word. I saw some of that on this thread but more of the personal attacks on Mr. Henn.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
