I think that a bit of a twist to the context... that was speaking of peoples immigrating to ancient Israel.

Speaking to the fairness of which they were to impart to foreigners.

And again! Did Paul not say that we are grafted in to Israel?

And that of course is in relationship to the Church, which is not under Law but under Grace.

It gets pretty tiresome when people can't (or won't) understand the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.

I don't understand why folks who are under the Law and all the OT ordinances and feast observances don't still do animal sacrifices????

Because they are playing games (primarily with themselves). On one hand they claim they are Torah observant.  On the other hand they make excuses for being unable to be Torah observant. But according to the Torah IT IS ALL OR NOTHING.

Awfully condescending remarks there.

I don't understand why modern Christianity in America fights so hard against God's laws. You tell people not to sin but you have no specifics about what sin is and what is not sin. It is confusing to me so imagine how it looks to the lost. It is no wonder that Christianity is dying!

And YES I do understand the old and new covenants.

How are these statements condescending? It is the TRuth,if one is going to abide by the Law,the WHOLE Law & observe the Torah,it is indeed ALL or NOTHING,

Quote

King James Bible
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
James 2:10

Quote

Scripture gives as a law, to love our neighbour as ourselves. This law is a royal law, it comes from the King of kings; and if Christians act unjustly, they are convicted by the law as transgressors. To think that our good deeds will atone for our bad deeds, plainly puts us upon looking for another atonement. According to the covenant of works, one breach of any one command brings a man under condemnation, from which no obedience, past, present, or future, can deliver him. This shows us the happiness of those that are in Christ. We may serve him without slavish fear. God's restraints are not a bondage, but our own corruptions are so. The doom passed upon impenitent sinners at last, will be judgment without mercy. But God deems it his glory and joy, to pardon and bless those who might justly be condemned at his tribunal; and his grace teaches those who partake of his mercy, to copy it in their conduct.    Matthew Henry Commentary

Simply put all your Trust in God,He Renews the mind,He Reveals His Word,Him Self,He Writes His Word on the Heart, the renewed heart.......these are not things that are confusing,troubling,fearsome........our Precious Lord & Savior has not left us to ,figure these things out for ourselves & He has covered all of our sins, eradicated them from even His Own Remembrance(past ,present & future) that we may be Spotless & Worthy in our Fathers Eyes......His Spirit,Holy Spirit comes to Council,Teach,Guide & Show us what is beyond even our own understanding....................

Quote

Proverbs 3:5-6New International Version (NIV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]

Let's be really honest about this.  There is not one grown adult in the world who does not know what sin is, what evil is, what lawlessness is, what anarchy is.  Everyone knows the difference between good and evil. In the western world, probably everyone has heard about the Ten Commandments, or seen the movie with Charlton Heston as Moses (probably worldwide).  What people do with it is another matter.

False Christianity (or Pseudo-Christianity) may be dying, but not Bible Christianity.

I would disagree only because I think you have to differentiate between sin and morality.  Even sin between the 3 major religions is not totally agreed upon.  For example in islam drinking alcohol is sin but in christianity drunkeness is generally considered the sin.  You'd be surprised at the amount of people who are ignorant of the 10 commandments.  I mean I've seen surveys where people believe Joan of Arc was Noah's wife.  And "christians" who believe the statement God helps those who help themselves is a text in the bible.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
