I don't want to argue or mince words but... How many top Generals and strategists in history, other than modern times, would consider fighting to a stalemate not a loss? Our military is crippled under the whims and restrictions in combat of a president, the Geneva Convention and public opinion. Discounting the extreme financial burden, but the cost of all those whom gave their last measure of self, for what, a draw? If it's not gain, it's loss. At any rate, it's just a cessation or pause if you will, as we are technically still at war with North Korea. No peace agreement was ever signed or agreed to.

It's a foregone conclusion that N. Korea will eventually invade the South and most likely achieve military victory. As I stated earlier, our government and the American people don't have the resolve anymore to take the actions necessary to achieve total military victory and remain steadfast and loyal to our allies. Korea will go the way of Vietnam and the middle east before long. If history is our teacher, we will get involved in the conflict, spend billions of dollars we don't have, sacrifice thousands of our servicemen's lives, decide the cost is too great, have massive public protests and riots, lose our will and resolve, and both halves of Korea will be united under communist rule.

As an aside, ever notice how many of the political elites, elected officials sons and daughters are war heroes, served any time in a combat zone, or even have been in the military? Compare that percentage to the general American population. What message should that send us?

The fighting in Korea was a UN function and not an American war.  North Korea had invaded the south and the goal was to rout them out. China did not want western armies on its border so it fought against due destruction of the North Korean government.

We did achieve the goal of kicking them out of the South, but the north refused to make peacekeeping but agreed to stopping hostilities.   They have been at war with us all along.

I don't know if getting rid of Un would solve the problem or not. The whole culture there would not fit directly into a real democracy....

If I didn't know the communist philosophy of God, I'd say "Kim Jung Un is Ill" has his 72 virgins in mind?

There is something wrong with him. And people call him the "short guy". He is really not that short at 5'7".

I think when it isn't a war the U.S. actually lost because it wasn't an actual war, mincing words arrives at claiming the U.S. lost the Korean war.

Which just isn't the case.

I just read North Korea has bio weapons that could kill millions and stop everyday normal life. Like no one could work or even go outside. I don't think Trump should attack them . The payback would be suicide for us. If we are not at the end of the age. I think the anti christ is about to show up. Anyway try to stock a lot of can foods and water in case. China is scared. That's says a lot. And another thing the radioactive water just showed up on the west coast. It said that 30.000 Tons of radioactive water is leaking every single day into the ocean.  In just 40 years no life will be left in the oceans anywhere on earth. That's what the book of revelation states too no life in the oceans.  Get close to the lord.

II Timothy 1:7  For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

My hunch is that we won't send in any foot soldiers. If a war breaks it will be to destroy NK nuclear ambitions...and if they rebuild, we will restrike.

Hi,

We are  at war having 30,000 military forces on the ground defending our positions. Those 30,000 individuals form a military unit that will not survive an all out assault  from the North especially if they are aided by China.

As our President Trump plays the role of the American Nikita Kruschev, banging his smart phone with tweets, instead of banging  a shoe at a pulpit as did the Soviet  premier, we had better be in prayer that someone has a plan! Otherwise we are going to literally tap our way into a great loss of life on earth.

Perhaps there is a plan; and of course there is for God is sovereign. His will be done here on earth as it is in heaven becomes a very real plea and prayer. We had better be in prayer, much prayer, more so than doing cheerleader routines of support for, or  the natterings of the naysayers against, our President Trump. For whether for or against our present stance, we are being led to the brink for reason, that reason serves the good purposes of God - whether it serves us at the USA as a country or not.

So I pray for the 30,000. I pray for their survival through this perilous time of continuing conflict about to go hot again. I pray for our entire country, may God protect us even as we do civil war yet again. And I pray for the people, all the people  in the pathway  of this destruction that may be soon to come if God's plan does not include our survival as a land, and does not include the survival of South Korea, and it's enemies and ours.

Father may cool heads prevail, may this time of such great tension and risk be set aside without the deaths of thousands and thousands. May starving people trapped in the closing jaws of poverty at North  Korea and at China along the Korean border be freed from their present plight. May many be brought to their salvation by the call  of your Holy Spirit to salvation through the redemptive work of your Son Christ Jesus.- Amen

That is my prayer this day as the sun shines bright, the local body of Christ Jesus opens  and welcomes saints to  worship and study of God in confidence of salvation through our Lord Jesus. All that is my prayer, and that the baptistry water is  properly warm for the testimonies and baptism of many this evening at our local body of Christ. Praise Jesus for He is Glory and the Power- forever. From time before time through time after time God is sovereign. He saves who He will save. May many still be here to come to Jesus.

even so Lord Jesus come- Maranatha!

Until  recently we had a family member serving at Korea as part of  a Patriot missile launch crew. Somewhere another family has given their beloved family member as replacement, and our family member has returned safe. Our local body of Christ often has on it's prayer list members or family of members that are serving  our country in the armed forces stationed  at Korea.

Please remember in prayer today the many that are serving for us there, as this ramp up of hostile rhetoric plays out among the world's countries by the leaders of so many warriors. Each leader has their own huge ego, and are playing macho games on social media formats, while tens of thousands of lives  are put to risk like so many chips on a green felt poker table in a casino. Only through the mercy of God will  the human "chips" survive the play by the world leaders.

Please pray for sanity to prevail, for some degree of caring for people, and for deep humility in leaders to overcome ego. May it be that God will  still hold calamity to come in abeyance. May leaders come to know Jesus is King of kings and lord of Lords. May they also be turned to Him in prayer as they lead.
