Ad Fontes (Back to Sources) is Latin and was mantra of the Reformation. Solae Scriptura (Scripture Alone) is Latin, Solus Christus (Christ Alone) is Latin, Solae Fidel (Faith Alone) is Latin and yet all of these are Protestant beliefs. 

I have Christ crucified as my symbol to remember His love because I am not ashamed of the cross or Christ's dacrifice, “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world,” (Galatians 6:14), “For I decided to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified,” (1 Corinthians 2:2), “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me,” (Galatians 2:20), “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires,” (Galatians 5:24), “For as I have often told you before, and now declare even with tears: Many live as enemies of the cross of Christ,” (Phillipians 3:18). 

When I look at Jesus on the cross O see love and all my sins paid for once and for all time (1 Peter 3:18, Romans 6:10). I see God’s love manifest to the highest level; that God came and reconciled us while we were sinners and enemies of God (Romans 5:4-11). I see joy, the joy that we are saved by Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross alone and not by works lest we should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
