Evidence of Life

Blessings Everyone

   "Who is on the Lords Side"......interesting name for a club,a club designed for the purpose of gathering together with fellow followers of Christ Jesus.....Angels posted a verse of Scripture ^{"  For} as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 8:14)    with a beautiful inscription "SOLDIERS IN THE ARMY OF THE LORD"

   I was looking for a place to reply or comment but I did not see any and immediately what came to my mind was that if you ask any Christian" Who's side are you on?"  It is highly likely they will respond"The Lords Side" and yet  many of them question the surety of their Salvation.....how often do you hear"I love the Lord but how do I know I am really Saved?"

   When we accept Jesus as Lord & Savior our spirit is MADE ALIVE,does that mean you should "feel different" or see an instantaneous change take place ,how does one know they have been made ALIVE in Christ.....is there any evidence,do you suddenly hear Gods Voice.....Who is truly on the Lords Side? So often we hear "We know them by their FRUIT"........this always reminds me of a sermon I heard years ago,I've shared it in the Boards many times.....

I happened to be watching a 1984 PTL telecast with Brother Ward as a guest & the conversation was about Evidence of LIFE.....which was fantastic & I think you might like it

He compared the evidence of physical life to that of spiritual life & said there are 4 Evidences in each......

1-Assimilate......A living being needs to eat,they must eat & drink to sustain life     Dead people are not hungry or thirsty,corpses do not eat!!

 And the same goes for the Born Again Believer who is made ALIVE spiritually,they hunger & thirst first for the milk they need & then the meat ....they thirst after Righteousness   It is a mark of LIFE

2- Eliminate.......A living person body must eliminate,their bowels must remain open,bladder etc,,,, & throw off the old,the waste

   And the same for the spiritual .....they put off the old,those things of the lifestyle,malice for example ,is put off & they put on the new....humbleness

(The cussing,swearing ,smoking ,drinking etc,,,, are eliminated)

3-Growth..........If you are alive you grow,from a baby you grow up & get taller.....older you may grow wider(he was quite comedic) The physical body does grow...there are outward signs of decadence

    And when the Trumphet blows those that are ALIVE & remain ............Yes,if you are ALIVE spiritually there must be growth,you must mature ,gain Wisdom,Understanding

 4-Reproduce......There is a physical urge to reproduce to BEGET  

Jesus started with 2 & then 12 & then 500,3000 and the world was turned upside down as they multiplied & multiplied

He said if you put a corpse in an ice chest,or a beautiful coffin  inside of the most beautiful church with beautiful pews & a beautiful organs with chandeliers & flowers it cannot bring anyone in to see it because there is nothing inside,it is a dead corpse                  

                 Praise Jesus,that is what I heard this morning & I thought I would share it        

Anyone who comes to Jesus-earnestly asks forgiveness with a repentant heart confesses Jesus is Lord & Savior and BELIEVES is Made Alive ......By the Grace of God we are Saved .guaranteed Eternity in Paradise with our Lord but there is more......this life here & now is a spiritual war,we chose sides just as surely as if we joined the military.....as we drink the milk we Receive nourishment in basic training  ,we are prepared for battle...we are trained,given weapons and taught how to use them with Power & Authority...

   Is that what you signed up for?I did,I know the enemy is already defeated as we prepare for battle so its a win win,isnt it?That brings me back to the Evidence of Life.....we are made ALIVE.....are you still in basic training,have you studied the manual?Are you still trying to live as the civilians do or have you accepted life as a soldier ready to engage in an all out war &  ready to move up in the ranks? Are you  recruiting new enlistees or a drill sergeant teaching young soldiers in the Lords Army?

   I don't think everyone who comes to Christ is n the Lords Army or are even aware that a war is going on,so are they on the Lords Side?Made ALIVE-yes-but starving,undernourished,suffering malnutrition and ineffective,unproductive as members of the Body of Christ......this "club" made me think of many things.....I'm thinking of the people who believe they are being lead by the Spirit and it is obvious they are not by the things they do & say.....we hear so much like that here on WCF,individuals that have no fellowship with anyone(Christians) ,no guidance,bad doctrine,they've have a bad taste in their mouth from a "dead church" etc....we are not meant to go it alone,how do we reach those people ...the ones that that are under strong dellusion ,no growth & yet they think they are on the Lords Side.....any thoughts?
