I like how Paul makes the contrast. Wages are earned, we as sinners have earned death,

But . . .

Eternal life is not earned by us, it is a gift of God, and gifts are yours, not taken back, because they area gift, not a loan. Totally undeserved, so we cannot un-deserve to lose it, that is why it is eteranal, everlasting. Thanks Jesus for paying the price of admission on my behalf!

It is True that we must “ do the Will Of God” to “ abide forever.” Let’s never forget what the Will Of The Father is— “Believe on the One He sent”.........Believe that Jesus was the One that died for your sins and then rose  from the Grave and you Have Believed the Gospel That Saves your soul.

Amen! undeserved, unmerited favor because of unconditional  love by God the Father...thank you Jesus!
