Judges 21:25

In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
this is a sad verse 

The whole book of Judges was a dark stain, but the Bible tells the truth .. good and bad

the very first sentence sets the scene

After the death of Joshua .. then it will be 400 years of dark times ending with every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Meaning they did whatever they wanted without thinking of God ?

But we can use Judges as a lesson of what NOT to do, to not turn from God and do whatever we see is right, you can learn a lot from others mistakes that’s why I’m grateful the Bible shows us the good and the bad “ history repeats itself when we don’t listen”
