I also know that we have had people living together outside of marriage attend our church as well. Sure the church has every right to kick out whomever they want. But is that what Jesus would do? When the scribes who were Pharisees saw Jesus eating with these people, they asked His disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus told them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2:16-17 You all can do as you like. But in cases like this, I try to follow Jesus's example. We need to stop being so afraid of people so afraid of sinners. Anyway, I think I said all I need to say on this topic. You all know where I stand. But many homosexuals go to a Church where the Pastor is homosexual and they distort the words of the Bible to say that homosexuality is accepted. Creating that type of art that is for the purpose of celebrating a gay couple - the baker was within his rights to say no. But this is the funeral of a straight man. Is there more to this story. Regardless, there is a huge backlash against the church and I suspect this could end up going to court. Which would mean that churches may lose the right to have any say in what goes on at their churches. Was the church correct in what they did? Personally I think the church was correct to cancel the funeral.
