I'm still only 'begotten and being cleansed from sin,

I was "born again" in July of 1986, ...but I was "declared" holy and blameless before the foundation of the world, ...when I "only" existed in the Mind of God:

According as He (Father) hath chosen us in Him (Jesus) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him (Father) in love:  Eph 1:4

Because, in the Mind of God, the Lamb had already been slain, that was to be the Propitiation for my sin:

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  Rev 13:8

I don't know who you are speaking to here, but my reply is....before anyone is 'born again' they have to be 'begotten again' as shown in Jas 1v18.  First BEGOTTEN and translated into the KGD of 'His dear Son, into Jesus , then Born into the KGD of GOD after we have been cleansed and re-modelled into a New Man. No one walking in flesh and blood is born again - only BEGOTTEN and brought to perfection when born again.

Guess we will have to DISagree.

Amen to that! You sure got  “ that” part right! Lol.......

Poor, poor, ignorant Peter......he said.... “love one another from a pure heart , since you have been BORN AGAIN.......through the Word of God”

Peter Again....... “according to His great mercy, He has caused us to to be  BORN AGAIN...... through the resurrection of Jesus......”

There’s more......interested? Jesus warned us about being embarrassed when we failed to be good students of the Word, failing to “ rightly divide”.....

I have no desire to embarrass anybody, especially you, but I think you need to go “ back to the drawing board”. I am not trying to be unkind ......and I could be wrong about everything I think or say ( don’t bet on it though... lol...but I say this out of a genuine concern for your happiness. In my mind , it seems that somebody has filled your brain with a lot of religious mush that needs to get straightened out .... I would love it if you listened to somebody like “ Yankee Arnold” or  Renee Roland On you tube.......just a suggestion.....May God grant you and I both Wisdom in these matters .....God Bless.....

let me ask you....do you consider 'being conformed to the image and likeness of the Son of God is a 'filthy work ' ? I don't !!!

You dont conform yourself (inner man) into the image of Christ.   This idea, is a religious idea, not related to the Spirit of God who is the sole means of conforming you into Christ.

You'll note that when you die, or when you are raptured, you are then completely "conformed into the Image of Christ", and so, do  you believe that you do this for yourself, also?

Sorry, no.

So, "being conformed into the image of Christ", is an inner work of God,  Happening INSIDE YOU.   Its GOD who is "pruning" and "working the Clay"...... We dont do this, because its not possible for us to change our own SPIRIT that has been born again.

What we do, that you are confusing with "being conformed into the image of Christ", is control our BEHAVIOR......but that is not the same as us manifesting God like power to  change  our inner man, who is hidden.

You can't see your spirit man.    You can't see your born again spirit......and that is the part that God alone is "conforming into Christ"......You dont do that.  You don't have access to that....

What you, and all of us have access to, is our body, and our mind,  So, we can renew that, and we can control our behavior,  (Discipleship).....=  "presenting yourself, as a living sacrifice".

God alone,  conforms our inner man,.......... and we control our body and mind and actions.

Only God can touch and shape and conform your born again inner man......You cannot.

Betha, there are two conversations going on here. One is implying that our becoming is due to God's work, and the other is saying this result is through our own effort.

"In the end, we must recognize that even our righteous acts come as a result of God within us, not of ourselves. On our own, our “righteousness” is simply self-righteousness, and vain, hypocritical religion produces nothing more than “filthy rags.”

It therefore boils down to who is doing the conforming. If you are doing these works, then God considers them as filthy rags; if God in you, then it is His righteousness resulting in them. :)

I agree, different spirits are at work here.  Being now (after having been saved by the shed Blood of Jesus) one becomes obedient to God it is seen as filthy rags. Obedience does not rate very high with them even though we are instructed to Heb 5v8,9. Why don't they let GOD do the judging ? don't worry, I can see what they are up to....but will not succeed.

Betha,

I was never trying to make this about "us vs them," but rather about a miscommunication between people talking about two different things at the same time without making a clear distinction about what we are talking about. If I tell you I just bought a fast car, but give no definition about what fast means, then to a snail a fast car could be a battery-operated toy car. What I am saying is that no one is defining what they mean, and because of that, we are getting into trouble understanding one another. I am not suggesting anything malicious at all, if I understood you correctly. :)

NO Betha, that is not right.

What i explained to you, is that the idea that you can keep yourself saved, by your filthy works..........is "falling from grace".  ("all of our works are filthy rags") in the Light of Christ's works, = Christ's holiness.

Do you understand this?

You need to understand that clearly, fella.

You can't compare your deeds, as you are trying to do, on this forum, ..... to the Holiness of Christ.

Got that?

NEVER do that. !!

You are trying to believe, and teach, that your behavior, your lifestyle, can be compared to Jesus and His Perfect Sinlessness..so that God will accept you.

HE WONT, HE DIDN't, and He Can't.

Do you understand that you are trying to do this?

See, its one thing to live for the Lord, ... to mortify your members,   to present you body a living sacrifice.......you SHOULD, but when you try to equate your behavior, your works, as something that God would accept to Keep you, as if your behavior is equal to the Righteousness of Christ,..... then you are saying....>"my good is as good as Christ's, so, God will accept BOTH".

NEVER !!!!!

Do not believe this.  NEVER think that your best effort to be a fine Christian, can be compared to what Christ's righteousness actually is, in GOD's Eyes.

You are a sinner who was SAVED by GOD's Grace.

Its God who saved you.  Its God who put Jesus's righteousness in you and on you............ And what is your part in that?

NOTHING but your FAITH...!

So, don't teach otherwise, and don't believe otherwise, are you have become this........ Galatians 5:4 & Galatians 1:8

It's good we are discussing...so what don't you understand about 'begetting/conceiving  and giving birth ? you surely know it is not the same thing ?

Yes of course. What I don't understand is the notion as it pertains to us as sons of God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
