Are we suppose to believe in aliens?

Ghosts,aliens,tooth fairies,ect are all the devils works....fallen angels in disguise.When we die we go to one of two places.We don't linger around here .We are not to chase after fables.John 3:16 says...GOD so loved the world....not worlds .

I guess if you are where you haven't dealt with people who have had experiences it would not be an important subject. But as someone who has had first hand experience with this "other dimention", it is real and important.

Because portions of this subject and related matters touch upon issues of demonology it has been objected that "we should focus our attention on Christ not on the Devil." Furthermore, if our victory as believers is to be complete, it is incumbent upon us to study all of the Scriptures, for as in any military engagement a knowledge of the enemy is necessary. That we will be engaged with this enemy is of a certainty pointed out by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:10-18. Finally, our Lord Himself exhorts us to study the details of that early age, the likes of which will be repeated shortly before His second coming, as the days of Noah. We can but reply that all of Scripture is given to us by the love and wisdom of God and it must be of essential value and importance to accurately understand it if we are to know the full counsel of His revelation.

My desire to "save souls' is not depleted due to my interest in the truth behind UFO's. Matter of fact, it only serves to make me more aware of the seriousness of the times.

Karen, please do not misunderstand. I am not saying that spiritual warfare is not important, nor that we should have a blind eye to the enemy. I merely said that Ive seen people so focused on ufos AND demons, together as a theory that is not supported in the bible, that they tend to lose focus on the Lord. I think there is a real danger to taking something like ufos and connecting it to the bible. My personal opinion.

I agree... no aliens. Eve was the mother of all living:

Gen 3:20  And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Something interesting to note though... in the New Age movement there is the teaching that, very soon, those who are not going to progress to the next stage of evolution (read: fundamental Chrisians) will be taken out of the world so it can move on without these "bad seeds."

Check out this link that documents how a future "rapture" is being presently predicted and explained in teh New Age movement. Remember, when the Rapture happens, Satan will have to explain it away in order to keep people from turning to Christ. Satan knows the word of God better than you or I ever will. Therefore, he knows that the Rapture is going to take place and he is already paving the way for an explanation to the event.

I just read your article on the New Age Rapture theories, We need to pray for these people, that God will open there eyes to the truth. And that they will be able to join us Christians in the Harpazo.

While I would agree that some do get carried away, there is something happening in the world today. There are simply too many people who have had experiences with these things in one way or another. It is growing yearly.

Knowing that there is an end time deception coming, and a firm belief that we are near the end time, it might behoove us to spend just a bit of our thinking time to understand why so many people across the nation are involved in these phenomenon in one way or another.

One thing I do notice about the Bible, is it doesn't talk about space beings, it solely focuses, on God, and Jesus Christ His Son, and the redemption of mankind.

I was watching a special on tv with Dave Hunt, about UFO's, he indicated without question, that everyone he found that had a sighting, or experiance with these craft; were dabling in the ocult....

i would have to agree with jade on this subject - just another ploy of the enemy to take our minds off Christ.

Whether ufos, or demons, I view it as a deception to take our minds off Christ. Now if they are demons and visibly real, then focusing on them is also harmful, in my opinion. Ive seen some people get so involved in demons and ufos, that they lose sight of what matters: the gospel of Christ and saving souls.

however, if we are talking about 'aliens' as referred to in the Bible then that of course is a different story. afterall that aspect is simply a being in a place where they are not from.

if you live in Greece, for example, but are not Greek you are essentially an alien in that land.

Well, there are angels that come here and they are not from here which would make them alien. Both good ones and the fallen ones.

In the end times Satan and his brood will be thrown out of heaven down to earth and they certainly are aliens, not being from the planet. There are firey chariots in the old testament, those sons of God that mated with the daughters of men, hords of angels fighting for the Israelites and any number of things that don't come from here, so I don't see where anyone can say that aliens are not biblical.

I still think that there is something going on or so many people would not be having all these experiences.....

Days of Noah~ (return of the nephilim)

There continues to be a flow of articles, books, and entertainment programs dealing with UFO's, aliens, and the like.1 Many wonder if there is a connection or relationship to the prediction of our Lord in Luke 17:26:

"And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man."

The emergence of the "Nephilim" was what brought about the Flood of Noah. Who were they? Is the current interest in the possibility of "alien" involvements some how of Biblical relevance?

The Nephilim

Genesis 6 indicates that the "sons of God" (B'nai Elohim) took wives of the "daughters of men," which gave birth to the "Nephilim." What on earth was going on?

The B'nai Elohim is a term that refers to angels. It occurs four times in the Old Testament 2 and is rendered "Angels of God" in the ancient Septuagin translation.3 The intrusion of certain angels into the human family resulted in unnatural offspring termed Nephilim, which derives from the Hebrew naphal (to fall), or the Fallen Ones. (The Greek Septuagint renders this term gigantes, which actually means "earth-born." This is often misunderstood to mean "giants"--which they also happen to have been, incidentally.)
