How to repay China

China was the source of Corona virus.  Their research lab in Wuhan was one of only two high level biological research facilities in China known to have worked with Corona virus.  You don't have to connect too many dots here.

Whether or not this virus was intentionally or accidently released is debatable.  If you want to believe that this virus occurred naturally, be my guest.

One thing is beyond debate.  The Chinese government covered up the outbreak of this virus for at least two months, which caused a worldwide pandemic.  If the Chinese regime had practiced honesty instead of lying propoganda to cover up the outbreak, the nations of the world could have restricted travel to and from China early on, and prevented the worldwide problem we currently face.  Virtually all Western journalists have been kicked out of China, for fear that they will keep telling the truth and continue to be a thorn in the side of the lying Chinese state media propoganda machine.  Chinese propoganda says only about 3K people have died in China, and they are doing a wonderful job, and that the rest of the world should follow their example.  The few truthful reports that escape the propoganda machine indicate 24 hr mausoleum and cremation activities more in line with over 100K deaths.

What should we do?  Since the Chinese own trillions of dollars of US Treasury debt, and we are currently spending trillions of dollars dealing with this problem that they created, I would suggest that 2020 be a year of Jubilee where all debt to China is dissolved in order to provide just compensation to the victims of their crimes.  China should pay for the massive destruction they have caused.  It's only fair.

My understanding is that China is the main supplier of the masks and ventilators that we need. So I don’t think we are going to be “repaying” them any time soon. Not to mention, we have a president that seems to love dictators, so I doubt that he would go after them.

We need to handle the current crisis and if God allows us to recover and heal from this, we need to be looking forward to make sure we have all the resources we would need if there is ever a biological attack or cyber attack.

We now know we would not have been prepared for a biological attack.

this thought of "repayment" is certainly not of Him.  Even if this was intentionally released, what right do we have to hold a whole nation accountable for the actions of a few? 

In the measure ye mete, it will be measured to you again.  It might be good to remember that....

Mercy is the ONLY thing that triumphs over justice.  And if we want mercy, we better be giving it to others.  I can't stand up under justice......if He gives me what I deserve, i have little hope for any reward from this life.  None actually....

I’m assuming that the OP was accusing  China of purposely starting this to harm other countries, which would be a declaration of war. I think a country has to respond in that case and I don’t think that is vengeful unless you repay evil with evil. You can’t let attacks go unanswered. God believes in fairness and preventing future harm.

But we forgive in the sense that we don’t seek to harm their citizens. Just my two cents.

In any case, I don’t think they did anything wrong, so it’s a moot point anyway.

China as a nation suffered terribly in the last century, so I think any judgement should be left to the Lord.

When the virus first happened, I only heard one time on the news...about there being a biological laboratory near the meat market where this all started.   It does make you wonder.....

Latest reports say that it was from the lab but not deliberate as they were working on bats to find a virus antidote/ vaccine and something went wrong spraying several employees with infected blood .. those then went out into the general population and the rest as they say is history . This is not the first time there have been problems with the release ( accidentally )  of a virus the last known one being sars when several of the top managers were " severely punished "   We are all quick to buy cheap imports from china a when it suits us so we all bear the same responsibility when they cut corners to make the goods whatever they may be as cheap as possible even at the expense of safety of their own people
