Tony Bennett, such a beautiful voice.   I remember him well.   I also remember Perry Como, another beautiful voice....he was a barber I heard and would sing while cutting hair.   A customer told him he should do it professionally....and look at the career Perry Como had!   Another Christian, I think.

You must be on the younger side.  Look up Tony Bennett's I Left My Heart in San Francisco.... it's beautiful.

I'm old enough, did  I say that ? Oh my.... my age is showing.  :b:  I've heard the song but when I heard it, it wasn't him that was singing.

I grew up listening to the crooners. Mom had them on all the time. Huge record collect via the Readers Digest deal.

I still hear those melodies whenever I write a song. Smooth ballads where they sing it like it was wrote.

Not all that strange stuff of today.

LOL

Jumping for joy in Christ!

And what is it they have overcome?

The fall of Adam, by the new birth in Christ..

Everything after the receiving of this new birth, is a manifestation of the overcoming of that life brought forth by that birth..

A fellow laborer in Christ, Not me

Lovely.  ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Isn't it such a JOY to come to a Christian Forum, or stand up in a group and give Christ ALONE all the praise and adoration that He alone deserves for saving us and keeping us saved?

Isn't it a wonderful sound that is found in the ears of God for Him  to hear real born again believers offer God a constant THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU< to the Holy One, = who shed His precious Blood so that we could have a FREE GIFT of Salvation that just keeps us ETERNALLY in the Loving Arms of a Holy GOD?

Isn't it a blessed RELIEF that the Grace of God allows us to not have to work to keep what we could never earn and never keep ourselves?

Isn't it amazing to KNOW that Jesus took our sin, and WE Became His Righteousness?   "the GIFT of Righteousness".....

Its it a Holy Wonder to just worship in the Arms of God's love and feel the blessing of being KEPT SAVED BY GOD's GRACE so that we dont have to worry about this, which allows us the JOY of the Lord,  and the Power to live a Holy Life for Him?

What an Amazing God who would offer such a SALVATION to us,  as a GIFT...

Thank you JESUS !

Tbe problem with your theory is that the Charismatic groups are a small minority in the over all total - Body of Christ.

So, the final apostasy is a large one, therefore it can't ONLY be talking about the small Pentecostal-Charismatic-WOF denominations, as you are believing.

It has to be BIG.  They are not a large group, and can't be the final church apostasy, when the other 90% of of the CHURCH is not this little Denom section .

Pride and arrogance can be found in every denomination.  Those who claim they are in need of nothing as they are rich and wealthy doesn't have to me financial only, but also spiritually, but only in this century do you find so many church leaders who have acquired such physical wealth - mansions, jets, multiple homes, etc - all the while asking millions to send them a couple of dollars more.  However, it's hard to see the spiritual side of this group, but as exposure to them grows, it does become easier as you listen to them long enough.  Yet, we are not God and He knows who these are and I am sure He will convict them personally so there will be no excuse if they do not repent.

Now, as for what you posted, can you explain what and who you are talking about in your last sentence?  You first claim "It has to be BIG."  Then, your very next words are "They are not a large group".  Are you saying 2 Thessalonians 2:3 does not include those in Revelation 3:14-22?

Here is a question meant to generate thought and not argument.

What was it that Paul battled against most? It seems to me that whatever that was, that the enemy would have continued to do and even refined as well as given many faces.

The great apostasy is the "Error of Cain"..

Jude 1:11

Its when the majority of the "modern church" has "fallen from Grace" and is now teaching a gospel of works, in place of the Gospel of Grace.

This has happened worldwide.   Just look at this forum..   You have people kicking against Grace here..

Its the teaching that Grace, is a license to sin.  And what that tries to do, is put the believer under bondage to works to try to keep themselves saved, and this rejects GRACE and the Blood of Jesus.

Its a Satanic twisting of the Gospel of Grace .

Its a denial that the Blood Atonement is Eternal.

Here is how it sounds..."yes, the blood atonement is eternal, as long as.......as long as you .......as long as YOU DO.......THIS......and THIS...and WORKS....

Its the replacing of the Gospel of Grace, as the gospel of works..

Its the "error of Cain".

Thats the great or final Apostasy.

Did you read this my Theology Thead...... "Pick a side....Take a Stand"    ???

It'l help you to see how to recognize the Apostate.

The Great Apostasy of 2 Thessalonians 2:3 includes the mindset of Cain, but is not just that mindset.  Your theology really hates the word works, as you come against works in just about every post you make.  Is it even possible in your mind that your definition of works is so narrow it destroys the "good works" we are to do in Him?  You never make any distinction between them, so it is impossible to say just by reading what you post.  If you can't see the difference, there is a huge issue with your theology against works than just what I see.  What do you think of the Book of James and the works he speaks of?

As for your thread about your theology - I stated reading it but noticed that it just regurgitates what you have been saying all along.  Your hatred for any type of works does not set well with what I have found in scripture for so many years.  I do agree that there are those who do believe that one must do works for salvation, but I do not agree that everyone who do good works fall into that category.  I refuse to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

That is not Behold's theology. He has a solid understanding of the works and holiness that comes from Christ in us, etc.

He mentioned works so much as a juxtaposition against Grace for Salvation. If you read his stuff, that will be clear to you.

No, it apples to every person ever born, since the Cross was raised.

Thats not narrow, that everyone.

ALL.....must REPENT of their Unbelief........every human being born since the Cross was raised.

That reality is related to every persons born since the Cross was raised.

Repent of unbelief, and TRUST CHRIST.

Are we both talking about Revelation 3 - the church of the Laodiceans?  Jesus is warning those who are His, not everyone born since the cross.  Please do every reader great service  by taking off your blinders when you wish to reply to specific posts where we are talking of those who have already accepted Christ.  I am sure those who are saved understand the need for salvation, but not every discussion is about turning to Christ for the first time.

Sure.

Final Apostasy, is regarding the entire FINAL modern church, its almost all believers, and not just one selected group of charismatics that you are describing.

The Falling Away,  is in fact a nearly universal body of christ "falling from Grace"

See, "falling away"< means you had something, and you LEFT IT....you fell from it.....You once had it and then you LATER repented BACKWARDS of the Truth,  and became an apostate, and in this context of  "falling away", that is "most of the Body"....So, its a HUGE falling away that is related to not just a few million charismatics, as you are describing.

The falling away, the great apostasy is JUDE 1.   Its the falling from the TRUE GOSPEL .....by falling from GRACE = INTO the false gospel...  The Devil's gospel.

its simply a complete separation from the Gospel of Grace into The Gospel of Works .

Its falling from GRACE into a lie that TEACHES the substituted FALSE gospel or the:  "error of Cain".

Paul refers to this as "who has BEWITCHED YOU, that you should NO LONGER OBEY THE TRUTH"..

Its that Apostasy.  THAT is the "falling away", end time SIGN.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
