I will just explain the situation. I am in a summer program i go to for two weeks every summer and it is a lot of fun. However, each time we go, everybody goes swimming. The thing is, both guys and girls are swimming..

would swimming by wrong in this case?

(most of these people are not christian and don't believe in modest dress)

Why can't men and women swim together? If you are like Gerioke said Gawking or worried about it, then simply don't swim.

If their dress creates any lust within you, then I would be careful of going. If it does not you might be a good example of how to dress... and act.

Whichever I would not over ride your inner feelings over the matter.

I didn't play sports in school because I didn't feel comfortable using common showers (drove me nuts in the Air Force). And that was with all guys.

Just don't voilate your inner voice, that can be the Holy Spirit speaking.

Are you asking if joining in the swimming is wrong for you?

When I was younger, I went to the pool almost everyday - all ages and both genders in the pool at the same time.

I never had any reason to believe there was any issue with this.

As for dress, well the world is the world. You can only do the best you can to get a modest suit for yourself.

If their dress tempts you to sin, then stay away. If their dress just bothers you . . . well, you can't hide from the world forever.

I totally agree with Nebula.

Swimming is a very healthy thing to do, and I believe that we are supposed to take care of our bodies. If you don't want to do it, though, then don't. If you want a modest bathing suit, go for a full-piece or a tankini. There are lots of those styles out there, and most of them still look pretty chic.

I'm not allowed to swim in mixed company, unless it's family or something. But I think it's a matter of personal conviction rather than something that is "right" or "wrong" for everyone.

Anything else that's wrong is NOT right.
