Did you know that the moon is moving away from the Earth?  Did you know that, if the Earth were even many millions of years old (never mind billions), then, at some point in the past, the moon would have been TOUCHING the Earth, which is, of course, impossible.

Perhaps. Then again, perhaps not. We don't really know. Only God knows this as Creator.

Yes. Lyell thought he was rescuing geology from the Biblical narrative. Perhaps a bit grandiose on his part, but he was ultimately proven correct that the earth is older than the genealogically derived date by Ussher and his adherents, which is established through secular sources anyway, not purely on a Biblical basis.

If the moon was blasted from the earth as per the current hypothesis then it certainly was touching the earth at one point. Regardless, this is an old argument. I don't know the physics well enough to refute it, but the physicists who do, don't seem to think there is a problem (unless you think there is a global conspiracy theory to squash this). But I've been told plenty of things that would rely on ridiculous levels of organization to keep quiet.

If you believe the bible which I think you do then its less than 6,000 years old.  If you believe Science then you will probably go with the 4.6 Billions years old.  I chose to believe God's word.   Also, according to the bible the Earth is older than the Sun, Moon and Stars.
