Regular fasting is a must.

Fasting doesn't prevent sin. It can make us focus even more on our bodies. Fasting on it's own does nothing spiritually.

Prayer is the key. Dedicated times of prayer with fasting is good.

Romans 14:17-18
17  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,
18  because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.

Kind of amazing when we consider that Moses, who gave the Law to the Jews---Elijah, the greatest Prophet---and Christ, who gave the whole New Testament---fasted each for 40 days and 40 nights. Why? So that they were in communion with God---focusing not on what was earthly, but what was heavenly.

Fasting on it's own, just fasting for no spiritual reason ,does nothing Godly.

People go on fasts everywhere, not for godly reason.

Jesus fasted for Godly reasons. So did Daniel.

I said this in my previous post. Read again.

I mention fasting AND prayer as good.

What do you mean by fall, fall from what? I hope you are not suggesting people who have medical requirements against fasting are bad.

Do not feed the flesh it means walk in the Spirit daily.

Galatians 5:16-26 New King James Version (NKJV)

Walking in the Spirit

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [a]adultery, [b]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [c]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [d]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Hello Brother Hartono,

For me I did fasting only as lead by the Holy Spirit. And I am not agree that >>People who dont fast regularly will fall.

Rather, I believe what the Lord says in Galatians 5:16-26 "Walking in the Spirit"

Fasting can be important. I have fasted many times. I went 27 days one time. Fasting makes you forget about the body to be more tuned into the spirit and more sensitive to it. It’s about denying the senses which spring forth from the Adamic nature which I would call the mark of the beast or Anti Christ spirit. We all have this death decree on our physical bodies.

We are a house divided until the Holy Spirit is fully immersed within us as that place that he prepared for us as those mansions in the father. Fasting is more than an act. It is a fact in those who live in this death upon Gods altar as our reasonable service unto him.

Romans 12:1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 4:10,

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

The act of fasting can bring us into the fasted life instead of just the act. I rather live in the Facts than just the Acts. Fasting helped me out by bringing me into the life lived. Now because of this denial of the flesh and my senses been given up to the cross, now my senses can be trusted because they passed through death and have been brought to life by my senses being governed by the Holy Spirit.
This is the true renewing of the mind that I have went thru to be able now to trust my senses. My senses no longer wants anything to do with my flesh but now my senses are governed by the Spirit to do and be the will of God manifested on earth as it already is in heaven.

This is the true raptured state to be not under the control of our flesh anymore but guided by the Holy Spirit out of those heavenly places we live in as a state that people have no clue to be able to live in that here and now in the realm of time.

I know from experience. This is not something I think but this is who I am. This is how I know. Until you have the experience your interpretations of the rapture will be in the future instead of now in the present.

And again we are back to not eating.

What is it about these ' spiritual ' people with not eating?

Jesus was accused of being a glutton and a drunkard because he ate and drank with, oh the horror, with sinners!

Ok spell it out in simple English just what do you mean by walking spiritually?

Some sort of out of body experience or what!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
