Babylon has always represented spiritual evil given the proper context.

The name Babylon is in itself a clue to its use as a metaphor.

The meaning of Babylon as confusion is derived from Hebrew source words for excess or overflow, mix, mixed fodder, and mingle

The literal fall of OT local Babylon has already happened to fulfill this prophecy recorded in the Book of Jeremiah.

Jer 51:60-64  So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.  (61)  And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words;  (62)  Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.  (63)  And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:  (64)  And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

I don't believe the fall of one literal city these days, and in the days to come, would bring about the entirety of things lamented in Revelation 18 when God's Judgment on metaphorical Babylon's behaviour is executed. Metaphorical Babylon has been active since ever cities were first built, and is what we see around us today.

Babylon’s fall is lamented by rulers = great shock, sorrow, punishment.

Babylon’s fall is lamented by merchants = great loss, mourning, ruin.

Babylon’s fall is lamented by traffickers = great grief, distress, destitution.

You think so? I have thought so as well. As of 2020 I'm of the opinion the Pope is the one depicted on the back of the beast and is symbolic of the mystery religion. The center of evil practices just moved from Iraq to Italy. History seems to show the parallel between false worship, fornication with the kings of the earth, death of saints, the Inquisition a remarkable example, the exalted lives of the top leaders, etc., with the practices of the Roman Catholicism.

I'm just unsure about Rev 18 and the apparent city that's described in amazing detail. Seems to me it's a physical city that's a global hub of commerce. I don't know if that's a valid parallel for Vatican City.

Anthor City that sits on Seven Hills is Jerusalem:

  1. The northern summit (hill) is called Scopus [Hill One],

  2. The middle summit (hill) was called Nob [Hill Two],

  3. The highest point of Olivet itself, and the southern summit (hill) was called in the Holy Scriptures the "Mount of Corruption" or "Mount of Offence" [Hill Three] (II Kings 23:13).

  4. On the middle ridge between the Kedron and the Tyropoeon Valleys there was (formerly) in the south "Mount Zion" [Hill Four] (the original "Mount Zion" and not the later southwest hill that was later called by that name),

  5. The "Ophel Mount" [Hill Five],

  6. To the north of that the "Rock" around which "Fort Antonia" was built [Hill Six],

  7. And finally, there was the southwest hill itself [Hill Seven] that finally became known in the time of Simon the Hasmonean as the new "Mount Zion."

Jerusalem was even called a harlot by the Lord:

16 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God to Jerusalem: “Your birth and your nativity are from the land of Canaan; your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. As for your nativity, on the day you were born your navel cord was not cut, nor were you washed in water to cleanse you; you were not rubbed with salt nor wrapped in swaddling cloths. No eye pitied you, to do any of these things for you, to have compassion on you; but you were thrown out into the open field, when you yourself were [b]loathed on the day you were born.

“And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’ Yes, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’ (E)I made you [c]thrive like a plant in the field; and you grew, matured, and became very beautiful. Your breasts were formed, your hair grew, but you were naked and bare.

“When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; (F)so I spread [d]My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I (G)swore an oath to you and entered into a (H)covenant with you, and (I)you became Mine,” says the Lord God.

“Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil. 10 I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of [e]badger skin; I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk. 11 I adorned you with ornaments, (J)put bracelets on your wrists, (K)and a chain on your neck. 12 And I put a [f]jewel in your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. 13 Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth. (L)You ate pastry of fine flour, honey, and oil. You were exceedingly (M)beautiful, and succeeded to royalty. 14 (N)Your fame went out among the nations because of your beauty, for it wasperfect through My splendor which I had bestowed on you,” says the Lord God.

Jerusalem’s Harlotry

15 (O)“But you trusted in your own beauty, (P)played the harlot because of your fame, and poured out your harlotry on everyone passing by who would have it. 16 (Q)You took some of your garments and adorned multicolored [g]high places for yourself, and played the harlot on them. Such things should not happen, nor be. 17 You have also taken your beautiful jewelry from My gold and My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images and played the harlot with them. 18 You took your embroidered garments and covered them, and you set My oil and My incense before them. 19 Also My food which I gave you—the pastry of fine flour, oil, and honey which I fed you—you set it before them as sweet incense; and so it was,” says the Lord God.

20 “Moreover you took your sons and your daughters, whom you bore to Me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your acts of harlotry a small matter, 21 that you have slain My children and offered them up to them by causing them to pass through the(T)fire? 22 And in all your abominations and acts of harlotry you did not remember the days of your (U)youth, (V)when you were naked and bare, struggling in your blood.

23 “Then it was so, after all your wickedness—‘Woe, woe to you!’ says the Lord God— 24 that you also built for yourself a shrine, and (X)made a [high place for yourself in every street. 25 You built your high places at the head of every road, and made your beauty to be abhorred. You offered yourself to everyone who passed by, and multiplied your acts of harlotry. 26 You also committed harlotry with (the Egyptians, your very fleshly neighbors, and increased your acts of harlotry to (AA)provoke Me to anger.

27 “Behold, therefore, I stretched out My hand against you, diminished your [j]allotment, and gave you up to the will of those who hate you, (AB)the daughters of the Philistines, who were ashamed of your lewd behavior. 28 You also played the harlot with the (Assyrians, because you were insatiable; indeed you played the harlot with them and still were not satisfied.

29 Moreover you multiplied your acts of harlotry as far as the land of the trader, Chaldea; and even then you were not satisfied.

30 “How degenerate is your heart!” says the Lord God, “seeing you do all these things, the deeds of a brazen harlot.” (Ezekiel 16:1-30)

Compare this with Revelation 17 and 18, and you can see Jerusalem is The Harlot.

“I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God's holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.” (Revelation 17:6)

The First Martyr was in Jerusalem, Stephen (Acts 7) and they killed James,  “About that time King Herod Agrippa[a] began to persecute some believers in the church. He had the apostle James (John’s brother) killed with a sword. When Herod saw how much this pleased the Jewish people, he also arrested Peter. (This took place during the Passover celebration.[b]) Then he imprisoned him, placing him under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring Peter out for public trial after the Passover. But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.” (Acts 12:1-5)

Bloodshed of Christians in Jerusalem made them have to flee to all Judea and Sanaria:

And Saul approved of their killing him. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.” (Acts 8:1).

The Harlot Babylon is Jerusalem, not Rome. The word Babylon even tells how the Jews had to be taken into captivity to Babylon because of their idolatry before the Lord in The Prophet Jeremiah’s Day. Which fits Revelatiob 18’s description of harlotries.

Jerusalem was even called a harlot by the Lord:

Yes. There are other claims to 'city of 7 hills' from all around the world, well known and not so well known. There may be hundreds of such cities for all we know.

And yes, Jerusalem and Israel have played the harlot more than once. Israel barely got out of Egypt and started worshiping a golden calf; like mere moments after watching the power of the Most High God rescue them.

I may be wrong about this but my impression is the harlotry of Israel had to do with spiritual fornication with other gods committing adultery against El Shaddai, the Most High God.

Babylon causes the whole world to fornicate with her. Maybe this fits Israel but I have my doubts:

"The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown wealthy from the extravagance of her luxury."

"As much as she has glorified herself and lived in luxury, give her the same measure of torment and grief. In her heart she says, ‘I sit as queen; I am not a widow and will never see grief."

I can construe the above to fit the pretrib epistemology of the western christian church. I see this sort of thinking and behavior all the time in the group that claims Jesus as savior. But I don't think that's true, even though the idea of 'will never see grief' is the pretrib mantra.

" the kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her "

"And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, because there is no one left to buy their cargo"

"Every shipmaster, passenger, and sailor, and all who make their living from the sea,"

"Woe, woe to the great city, where all who had ships on the sea were enriched by her wealth!"

It's hard for me to see the kings of the earth committing adultery and living in luxury with Jerusalem when Jerusalem and Israel are condemned by the UN at every turn. All who make their living by the sea are not going to be enriched by Jerusalem. In fact there does not exist any single city that can do that today. Israeli port traffic is about half the global average port traffic. If it's literal that all who made their living by the sea were enriched by a single city called Babylon, and that city is destroyed in a single stroke, then as of today Jerusalem isn't even on the radar.

"Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations." - Joel 3"

"With such violence the great city of Babylon will be cast down, never to be seen again." - Rev 18

Both of the above are end of the age context. One endures forever and one is destroyed forever.

I can't see any city today as fitting Rev 18 once most of the evidence is considered. I have my thoughts but in a literal interpretation no one city fits, yet. And there are the following excerpts from Ezekiel:

"Every kind of precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald. Your mountings and settings were crafted in gold

By the vastness of your trade, you were filled with violence, and you sinned.

Your heart grew proud of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor;

By the multitude of your iniquities and the dishonesty of your trading you have profaned your sanctuaries."

It's established Lucifer is a trader and a merchant.

"And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, because there is no one left to buy their cargo— cargo of gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls; of fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet; of all kinds of citron wood and every article of ivory, precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; of cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, and frankincense; of wine, olive oil, fine flour, and wheat; of cattle, sheep, horses, and chariots; of slaves and souls of men. And they will say:

The fruit of your soul’s desire has departed from you; all your luxury and splendor have vanished, never to be seen again.” - Rev 18

"All the nations who know you are appalled over you. You have come to a horrible end and will be no more." - Eze 28

Is this Babylon in a spiritual sense? Satan behind the scenes driving the world economies? A consolidation of Satan's power of economies in a single place yet to rise? All of the above and more?

IMO, the answer is yes. Babylon is the seat of Lucifer at the end of the age and is the home of every evil thought and act and the majority, if not all, the wealth on earth. Satan is clearly responsible for the blood of saints and prophets of all time and that cannot be said about any other city. It could be Babylon as a name represents what we see in Rev 18 and is not an actual city. It could be a region or even a continent for all we know.

It's a physical place for sure but it's identity is murky.

Rev 18: (4)  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.

Saddam Hussein started to rebuild the city of Babylon...and look how that turned out for him. Too bad he didn't read Jeremiah 51:64 before he started.

I don't disagree. I do see both the spiritual and physical nature of the coming Babylon.

And at this point I see Jeremiah 51 as the end of the age. The chapter sounds very much like Rev 18.

I don’t know all of eschatology, only bits and pieces that the Lord has drawn my attention to…and I’m mindful that the Lord says “if you think you know you do not yet know as you ought”, so am always open to Him correcting and tweeking what I think I know……so I only offer these bits and pieces in the fear of the Lord, scriptures to think about….it’s by no means complete and might need tweeking, and I pray not completely off the rails.  I’m still very much seeking understanding.  But I believe we must consider the possibility of Rome and Jerusalem joining hands in the last days….they are both of the same spirit, both apostate, unfortunately.  I am thinking that from one comes the False Prophet and the other might be the first beast that was wounded by a sword and yet lives, having been restored to “life” (power and position) with the help of the False Prophet.  But if so, it’s not yet clear to me which is which.  Just that I mention these things as a warning and caution to us regarding both Rome as well as concerning Jerusalem and the third Temple.

Mat 21:18-21

Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever.  And presently the fig tree withered away.

(The Lord is done with earthly Israel and Jerusalem forever as far as His spiritual purposes go..…”Israel after the flesh”….but He is looking to spiritual Israel now, “the Israel of God”, the city that is above, NEW Jerusalem.  So important that we not be enamoured with things of earth, minding earthly things, but have all our affections above.)

And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! (where it says in scripture that “what is obsolete is passing away…”)

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

(What mountain?…Jesus is in Jerusalem at the time He is speaking this, having just left the Temple………He is talking about the temple mount and earthly Zion.)

Rev 8:8

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Rev 18:21

And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Jer 51:25

Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.

(Just like the strange woman, mystery Babylon, is the deceiving, spiritually adulterous counterfeit to the true faithful wife of the Lord, Babylon’s mountain is the counterfeit to the true holy mountain of God….heavenly Zion.)

A hallmark of Babylon is that she preys on children (as it has been well publicized regarding the Roman church, as well as other sins…..and apostate Judaism is full of like sins as well, though it is not yet well known).  This shows the depth of her depravity, how falling away from the Lord makes the formerly people of God heartless and worse than the heathen.  I think probably there is no greater sin than to lust after and exploit children….it’s the depths of Satan…..Luciferian, satanic, the depths of evil.  (I believe that “passing children through the fire” in the bible might be a metaphor for this evil.  The worst covens and satan worshipers etc all prey upon and sacrifice children.  It is a hallmark of Leviathan/Satan.)  The Lord will in the end destroy evil from the root….transgression must first come to the full so that He can deal with it to the full.

Job 41:24

His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.

Mat 18:6

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Mar 9:42

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Luk 17:2

It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

The worst persecutors of the true saints has always been from among God’s own people who fell away.  First how ancient Jerusalem treated the prophets and saints….and secondly how Rome under Constantine and in the middle ages treated the true faithful believers who would not get into bed with her.

Rev 18:24

And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Mat 23:30-38

And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

(why it is called the abomination of desolation)

There was someone who said on these forums He thought Babylon The harlof was Jerusalem, Rome and etc; she’s entity of idolatry who has actual cities with seven hills. An interesting thought, I’ll try to find his post.

I think Jerusalem is leading people to idolatry in that it merchandizes faith, I’ve been to Jerusalem five times and its a circus of “give me money for relics, talismans, souvenirs and etc.”

It says in Ezekiel that Lucifer invented merchandizing,

You were the signet of perfection,[a]
(Y)full of wisdom and (Z)perfect in beauty.
13 You were in (AA)Eden, the garden of God;
(AB)every precious stone was your covering,
(AC)sardius, topaz, and diamond,
    beryl, onyx, and jasper,
sapphire,[b] (AD)emerald, and carbuncle;
and crafted in gold were your settings
    and your engravings.[c]
On the day that you were created
    they were prepared.
14 You were an anointed (AF)guardian cherub.
    I placed you;[d] you were on (AG)the holy mountain of God;
in the midst of the stones of fire you walked.
15 You were blameless in your ways
(AH)from the day you were created,
till unrighteousness was found in you.
16 In the abundance of your merchandise, commerce, and trade
you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned;” (Ezekiel 28:16)

Jesus then says, “"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon (god of money)” (Matthew 6:24). We read in Ezekiel 28 above Satan invented merchandizing.

It says of Harlot Bablyon:

“Woe! Woe to you, great city,
    you mighty city of Babylon!
In one hour your doom has come!’

11 The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn(AD) over her because no one buys their cargoes anymore(AE) 12 cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; 13 cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and human beings sold as slaves.” (Revelation 18:10-13).

Notice Bablyon has merchants, tradrs as I’ve seen in Jerusalem.

Remember the Lord’s outrage over ancient Jerusalem:

So He made a whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.” (John 2:16)

I think the idolatry of Bablyon is merchandizing religion and faith, specifically to the point of drowning out God’s presence, Spirit, prayers, and worship.

Amen.  Wisdom and understanding and truth are the precious jewels and treasures of heaven....we are not to merchandise them for gain.  Freely we have received, freely we give.  Merchandising is another hallmark of mystery Babylon, the harlot counterfeit church.  Her merchants are her priests and pastors and religious leaders who follow the way of Balaam and Cain (murdering true saints whose hearts are right).

2Pe 2:1-3

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Contrast that with the true faithful wife of the Lamb who obeys the word of the Lord:

Pro 23:23

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Isa 52:3

For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

Isa 55:1

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Isa 45:13

I will raise up Cyrus[fn] in my righteousness: I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price or reward, says the LORD Almighty.”

Well said and worthy post! :)

I think another aspect of the Harlotry is when pastors or presch say following Jesus will lead you to become a millionaire with mansions on earth.

This negelects that Jesus said of mansions:

“In My Father's house there are many mansions. And if not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” (John 14:2). Those mansions are heavenly not this fallen world.

Jesus also says:

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:9-10).

I know Christ isn’t talking about being a food steward of finances, or that we shouldn’t work; He’s addresing the “love of money is the root if all evil,” (1 Timothy 6:10 KJV) and this passage: “The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth and riches choke the word, making it unfruitful.” (Matthew 13:22).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
