In Revelation 16:13 we see three unclean spirits who come to battle at Armageddon, the dragon, beast, and the false prophet, a.k.a., the Antichrist. Likewise, in Revelation 13:1-8 we have mention of the dragon, the beast, and the beasts mouth, a.k.a. the Antichrist, who is the false prophet in Revelation 16:13. After these three entities descriptions, we then have another description in Revelation 13:11 of another beast coming out of the earth, having two horns like a lamb, who speaks like a dragon. With these descriptions we then either have a fourth entity in the equation, or the other beast who speaks like a dragon, is the dragon. Since only three come to battle at Armageddon, the beast who speaks like a dragon in Revelation 13:11, would therefore be the dragon. As such we then can recognize that all the criteria following in Revelation 13:12-18 is set forth by the dragon, a.k.a. Satan.

Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

So why do you call the false prophet the Antichrist and not call the beast the Antichrist?

Why doesn't the beast qualify as an antichrist?

Good morning Shilohsfoal,

Good questions. Primarily, the reason I call the false prophet the Antichrist and not the beast the Antichrist is due to context. While there are many Antichrists, including those among the beast, who will not believe in the gospel of Christ, by loving your neighbor, loving truth, loving justice, and adhering to spiritual correctness; the Antichrist himself appears in singular context as does the false prophet. The beast, however, is comprised of seven heads, and ten horns, representing many nations and peoples.

Very enlightening explanation. So then you are of the opinion that the 2nd beast in Revelation 13 represents a separate 4th entity, different from the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet who appear at Armageddon in Revelation 16???

Here's a good explanation that fits and makes sense... [Larkin]

Here we are told how the "Kings of the Earth" and their armies are to be gathered for the "Battle of Armageddon." "THREE UNCLEAN SPIRITS" like frogs, John does not say they were frogs, will come one out of the mouth of the "Dragon," one out of the mouth of the "Beast," and one out of the mouth of the "False Prophet." That they are not real frogs is clear from their miracle working power. They are the "SPIRITS OF DEMONS," working miracles, which go forth unto the "Kings of the Earth," and of the whole world, to gather them to the "Battle of that Great Day of God Almighty." They are the "Seducing Spirits" who go forth preaching the "DOCTRINE OF DEVILS" in the "latter times" of whom Paul warns Timothy. 1Ti 4:1. They are sent out by the "SATANIC TRINITY," the "Dragon," the "Beast," and the "False Prophet," on a miracle working ministry.

I understand the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet to represent the Satanic trinity. We also, however, see in addition to this unholy trinity in Revelation 13:1-10, another second beast described in Revelation 13:11 who having two horns like a lamb, speaks like a dragon. As such, we then either have a fourth unholy entity who does not appear with the unholy trinity in Revelation 16, or this second beast who speaks like a dragon, is the dragon, the first of the unholy trinity. And since everything that is enacted in Revelation 13:11-18 is brought about by the second beast, I then believe this second beast with two horns like a lamb who speaks like a dragon to be the first of the unholy trinity, the dragon/Satan, in Revelation 13:2 & 4.

My understanding is, Revelation 13: 1-10 is describing the Beast [Antichrist]. He comes up out of the "sea"; the 'sea' generally represents gentile nations, and a distance away from the center and attention of the world, Israel. Revelation 13: 11-17 is no doubt taking about "the False Prophet" [Rev. 16:13, 19:20, 20:10]. This False Prophet is said to come "out of the earth". Very interesting, could this mean its someone from Hades being brought up?

Satan always mimics God in everything, we see the un-holy trinity in Revelation [Satan - Antichrist - False Prophet], all kinds of miracles, signs and wonders they will perform. If our Lord resurrects 'two witnesses' to preach the Gospel in Jerusalem, we can be sure Satan will be a copy cat.

Something I find very interesting, and I'm not drawing any conclusions. Only 'two' people in the Bible are called and named "the son of perdition", Judas Iscariot and the Antichrist. Judas is the only person in the Bible that is said "that he might go to his own place". Strange and exactly where and what is his own place?

John 17:12 (KJV) While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. [emphasis added]

Acts 1:25 (KJV) That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. [emphasis added]

This un-holy trinity will have lots of help, unclean frogs (spirits), Abaddon / Apollyon, demon's, locusts from Hell that have a King, the princes and powers of the air. Stephen King could not create a horror movie on how bad this period of time is going to be.

This is getting a little off the topic here Dennis1209, but the sea from which the beast shall rise due to the power the dragon shall provide the beast (Revelation 13:2 & 4), according to the angel in Revelation 17:8 is another representation for the bottomless pit from which the beast shall ascend in Revelation 9. This bottomless pit from which the beast shall ascend represents the first of the final three woes which are to result in even greater destruction throughout the earth, than the first four woes in Revelation 8, in which 1/3 of earth's environmental resources are destroyed. All these woes results are attributed to the love mankind has for the things his hands produce (Revelation 9:20). Today, the vast majority of things mans hands produce are through industry which currently use fossil fuels to produce these material goods. Revelation 8 in which 1/3 of earth's environmental resources are destroyed I believe represents the results from the excess use of fossil fuels. Once the levels of environmental damage in Revelation 8 is achieved, a star from heaven falls to the earth and is provided the key to the bottomless pit. This name of this fallen star who is the angel to the bottomless pit is Abaddon in Hebrew, and in Greek Apollyon, which translated means the destroyer (Revelation 9:11). The star Abaddon/Apollyon, the destroyer who opens the bottomless pit from which the beast shall ascend, we can then see correlates with the dragon Satan who by vesting the beast with his power, causes the beasts ascension from the sea. When we then correlate the data from Revelation 8 in which the earth is experiencing some very dire environmental situations due to excessive fossil fuel use, which ultimately causes the great dragon Satan to be cast out into the earth, where he then opens the bottomless pit and vests the beast with his power. I then see this power which the dragon shall provide the beast causing the beasts rise from the sea as fusion. All that mankind will then need to produce an unlimited amount of energy from fusion is hydrogen, of which the world's seas have a virtual bottomless pit of.

Back on topic now, we see in Revelation 13:2 & 4 the dragon vesting the beast with his power, his seat, and great authority. The dragon and the beast are then joined by a mouth provided the beast who speaks great things (Revelation 13:5). This mouth who speaks great things also appears in Daniel 7:8,11,20, & 25 as the mouth of the ten horned beast who speaks great things. It is then a logical assessment that the mouth who shall proclaim great things to come is a false prophet, and is the false prophet of the unholy trio in Revelation 16. We therefore have the dragon in Revelation 13:2 & 4, along with the seven headed, 10 horned beast (representing many nations and peoples), and the beasts mouth speaking/prophesying great things in Revelation 13:1-10. All this brings us back to the second beast in Revelation 13:11 with two horns like a lamb who speaks like a dragon, if he is an additional fourth character? As this second beast is deemed responsible for the acts in Revelation 13:12-17; the logical assessment is then that he is one of the unholy trio. We can exclude the seven headed 10 horned beast, as he represents many nations and peoples. We therefore are left with the beasts mouth who speaks great things, who is the false prophet, and the dragon/Satan who vests the beast with his power, his seat and great authority, as the two candidates remaining representing the 2nd beast with two horns like a lamb who speaks like a dragon.

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Revelation 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

I don't see it that way, it fits perfectly in with the title of your thread? You cannot discuss the make up of an orange and discount the peel and seeds...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
