Daniel was 70 years older and thought he understood Jeremiah chapter 25 in that the Lord would destroy Jerusalem and the kingdoms of the world after 70 years.

Daniel 9:1-2.

Therefore Daniel cries out to the Lord to please spare Jerusalem: Daniel 9:3-19

But the angel Gabriel comes and tells Daniel that seventy such captivities are determined upon Israel. Daniel 9:24 "Seventy captivities (not weeks) are determined upon thy people..."

[Dear ones just read it with 'captivities' in mind instead of weeks, it clearly makes a lot more sense, also given the context of Daniel's time line and Daniel 9:1-2]

It is a prophecy about 70 sets of 70 year captivities, a total of 4900 years, but we can not assume that the captivities happen back to back.

"And after 32 captivities shall the Messiah suffer the death penalty, but not for Himself"  Daniel 9:26

So about half way through, the Messiah came and died for all, being also risen from the dead on the third day as required in Leviticus and prophesied in Psalms 16:10.

 

Ok and the hard truth is that many of the so called "Arabs" and "Palestinians" are actually the most direct descendants of Israel and his twelve sons, and many of the so called 'Jews' actually descend from Esau and know it but keep it a secret, secretly worshiping the devil. A synagogue of Satan just as Christ said. 

Therefore, what is happening now, is perhaps yet another end to a captivity that started in 1948. ..

Indeed if the Gaza strip is freed, a captivity has ended.

 

 

The Bible clearly prophesied that Esau would rule Jerusalem in the end:

But, as it is written: "The day of the Lord is near... Deliverers shall come up on mount Zion, to judge the mount of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lords" Obadiah 1:15, 21

Obadiah even speaks of the many checkpoints that are at crossroads that hold people hostage, literally at crossroads people are held captive, people that once were in Israel proper, I'm speaking of the Gaza strip, everything has been prophesied, but the enemy works hard to muddy the truth of scripture in peoples minds. 

Indeed the land became two and three nations not one: Israel, the west bank, and the Gaza strip, from 1948 onward, therefore Ezekiel 37:22 can not apply to what happened.

 And if we don't believe in actual resurrection, then we can dismiss Ezekiel 37:24, but if we like Paul believe in actual resurrection, we therefore know because of Isaiah 26:19, Jeremiah 30:9 and Ezekiel 37:24 that David will be literally resurrected and reign among his fellows. And nothing of that sort happened in 1948. Be not deceived dear ones, Ezekiel chapter 37 is a prophecy of the great resurrection to come, and then it speaks of the 1000 years, and then chapter 38 of gog and magog, the same exact order of events as Revelation chapter 20.

One week! Oh goodness we need to watch this and see what happens.

And after 32 captivities shall Messiah suffer the death penalty but not for Himself:

and the people (Rev 2:9, 3:9 Obadiah 1:21) of the prince (John 14:30) that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary 

and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined. (desolations are happening in and around Israel very literally now)

And he(the prince of the people that shall come, the anti-Christ, one claiming to be Christ and even doing seeming miracles)

shall confirm THE (claiming that he is God) covenant with many for one captivity (70 years) but in the middle of the captivity

he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation (to himself) to cease, and for the over spreading of abominations he shall make (the place literally) desolate,

even until the consummation (the return of the Messiah) and that determined (fire Rev 19:20-21) shall be poured upon the desolator. 

 

Daniel 9:26-27 in context of Daniel 9:1-2 and Daniels time of captivity in Babylon.

 

What is happening now is not Daniel 9:26-27.
