Let`s look at the context of the Assyrian in Isa. 31.

 

`...the Lord of Hosts will come down to fight for Mount Zion and for its hill. Like birds flying about, so will the Lord defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it........

Then the Assyrian shall fall by a sword not of man...` (Isa. 31: 4 - 8)

Thus we see that this Assyrian is in the time of the Lord`s return in power and great glory with His mighty angels.

The same event fulfilled in OT:

Isaiah 31:8...but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

2Ki 19:36  So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

All errors, his Bloodline is Assyrian. His Nationality is Greek, his power base is the Fourth Beasts Power base, the E.U. 

He will kill off Islam (Rev. 17:16 he kills off the Harlot.

But the Assyrians were largely driven out of Mesopotamia when their three capitals were conquered around 614-610 B.C.

Some say many of them migrated to and settled in the region of Germany. Where (Berlin) Satan's throne from Pergamos was moved to. Merkel lives across the street from it.

Germany started two world wars, and is the dominant power by far in the European Union.

Watch Germany. It is a world power; old Mesopotamian Assyria is not, far from it.

Not quite so fast there Michael,

SINGULAR - `The LORD sent AN angel...` (2 Chron. 32: 21)

`And it came to pass on a certain night that  THE angel of the Lord went out and killed in the camp of the Assyrians...` (2 Kings 19: 35)

PLURAL - `So the LORD of hosts will come down to fight for Mount Zion....like BIRDS (plural) flying about...` (Isa. 31: 4 & 5)

 

Different times there. In the first events only ONE angel was sent to kill the Assyrian camp, while in the latter event it is the Lord Himself with His angelic hosts, that deal with the Assyrian leader and the world`s armies surrounding Jerusalem. 

`When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and ALL THE HOLY ANGELS with Him...` (Matt. 25: 31)

The people of Iraq, Syria & Jordan are from the old Assyrian Empire.
