I am a widow and no longer pay taxes. People have been conditioned to believe they must pay taxes when they can choose to pay or not. It is now become a big legal thing, time will tell.

I will stand corrected on not wanting to go against G-D'S will, for the time being.

I believe this is a draw.

"Conditioned" perhaps by the fact it is the law and God tells us to:

  Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God.

"Teacher," they said, "we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth. You defer to no one, for You don't show partiality. 17 Tell us, therefore, what You think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?" 18 But perceiving their malice, Jesus said, "Why are you testing Me, hypocrites? 19 Show Me the coin used for the tax." So they brought Him a denarius. 20 "Whose image and inscription is this?" He asked them. 21 "Caesar's," they said to Him. Then He said to them, "Therefore, give back to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." 22 When they heard this, they were amazed. I am on Social Security. I paid my taxes when I worked.

By not getting a marriage license, you are setting a bad example for the world. When they see you thumb your nose at the government, it is seen as an act of rebellion, and as such it goes against the Scriptural principles that we are to submit to the laws of our land when it is reasonble to do so. Getting a marriagle license is not unreasonable, nor is it expensive. We set a good example to the unbelievers around us when we get our marriage license, keep our car tags up to date, pay our taxes for as long as we are required and conduct ourselves as good citizens.

Snow, you made a very strong statement to which several posters responded with Biblical answers. Then, instead of defending your position against them, you changed the subject and later made the statement, "I believe the Truth will set G-D'S Children free, once they hear and accept it." You have concluded that you are right without any answers to those who disagree with you. The point of forums is to exchange ideas and have discussions. If you don't want to hear and learn from the opinions of others, why post? I ask that you either give a sound, Biblical reason why your position is correct, or humbly admit that you may be wrong. You are still entitled to your opinion, but you need to give that same respect to other people's opinions. I also believe that you should consider the truths from Scripture that they are trying to point out to you, but that is between you and God.

Your statement, "You can cast all the stones you like." implies that people here are attacking you. I assure you, they are trying to persuade you from God's Word because they love the truth.

I do have one question that anyone can answer. I have noticed that many posters do not spell out "God" but write "G-d" or something simmilar. Why is that?

It is a Jewish custom, meant for respect. If those of Jewish background wish to do that, I personally think it is fine. I capitalize God, Him etc when I type His name or refer to Him. That is my custom.

We live in a Nation that is founded on Laws. That is what the license is for and it really is seperate from two people coming together and becoming one in the eyes of God.

Actually in the state of Oklahoma where I was born and reside, when two people have lived together as one for a set time they are considered as married under the state laws of marriage and are so without a license. At least this is my understanding of our State law.

So as I understand it Snow.... the people of Oklahoma agree with you or we would change our laws...
