Because of the earlier posts in which your handling of scripture was repeatedly shown erroneous you've lost all ability to an claim you know what Jesus and the apostles taught.

Get off your soapbox. You really have tickets on yourself.

your understanding of scriptures is yours and I disagree with much of what you post, but do so without the vitriol.

why would those saved by God and cannot be lost or unsaved need the following admonitions to keep them safe??

Ephesians 4:27  and give no opportunity to the devil.
4:28  Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labour, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
4:29  Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
4:30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
4:31  Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
4:32  Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

1Thess 5:19  Do not quench the Spirit.

I used to think Josheb, was on a soapbox as well.....” He Isn’t”.....I was blinded to his gift of scripture and knowledge, that was until God took me off my soapbox, of not liking that he is far more knowledgeable than me,on scripture, ..his posts are long, but they are so knowledgeable,if you take the time to read them......

He is a Blessing from God, and boy does the Lord use him....

He’s  trying to help us grow and learn!!.....i so appreciate that...

That is not what Jesus and the Apostles teach.

The apostles in their epistles often refer to the confidence that we have in our salvation. And both our Saviour and his apostles preach of one gospel and one faith and one baptism and one body.

Why would I believe anybody who would witness to me about the gospel of salvation if I could not have an assurance that the scriptures that I can read for myself are not true. That the goalposts move for every individual. That there are many gospels. Am I saved?

There is no need for me to make to depart from evil and to do righteousness if all are saved, including reprobates.

There is always hope for the lesbian who has departed from the faith, but that is up to her. She needs to allow Jesus as the good shepherd to come and rescue her again. But if she continues to quench the Spirit and to continue in unrighteousness then the scriptures judge her; not you nor I.

1Cor 11:28  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
11:29  For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
11:30  For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
11:31  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
11:32  But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

And how do we judge ourselves but by the word of God.

So if those who are called out of the world return back into the world then they shall be condemned with the world.

Luke 12:45  But if that bondman shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
12:46  the lord of that bondman shall come in a day when he expects not, and in an hour when he knows not, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the unfaithful.

I'm not one who relishes disputation for I know that the Almighty speaks for Himself. He has no need for human hands to steady the Ark. However, you're a precious brother so I will persist this once.

You say, "And how do we judge ourselves but by the word of God."

Indeed, so in judging ourselves do we therefore become the judge of our neighbor? Who is the judge of our neighbor, brother: me, you, or the Lord? The error of proof-texting is manifest in the skewed view of the scriptures it affords; you quote passages from 1 Corinthians and highlight "that we should not be condemned with the world" while ignoring the words which precede it. We are chastened by the Lord so we won't be condemned with the world!

What is chastening... a feeling that comes upon us? "Uh oh, I screwed up!" Or is it chastisement from the Lord, discipline from the Lord and, perish the thought, suffering and trial? No man is perfect and you're well aware of the truth that the Lord deals with us as sons and daughters. This includes chastisement and stern discipline by His hand and in fact, if I never received correction and discipline from the Lord I would cry out to Him right away!

Yes, we are conformed to the image of the Son by His Spirit from glory to glory and His chastening and discipline is part of His work in us. It has been my experience in the hand of God that when His correction comes it's never pleasant nor pleasing to endure. Ah, but what is the fruit of God's discipline? Life! Life, not death as it by the hand of men.

Life and glory in Jesus Christ, for the Lord is faithful to finish that work He started in us. We are the work of His hand, Waggles, not the product of our own designs. I look on while so many are confident in their understanding of the scriptures and yet who among these stands for mercy? Who shall speak on the behalf of mercy which springs forth from love?

The Lord Himself and as it pleases Him, those of His bondservants who have been recipients of His unfathomable mercy and grace. God came to me when I was ignorant in this world and set me upon a path toward His Son; when it was necessary for the Lord to chasten and discipline me --- He does so with all whom He receives as sons and daughters --- men who were confident in their understanding of the words of God erred greatly, calling me accursed when the Lord blessed me in ways which their minds of flesh could not conceive. Oh yes, they were convinced I was an apostate.

Salvation is His work, not ours. God keeps us in His hand and no one can snatch us out of His hand. That means ourselves. :)

This woman who has walked away from righteousness in the Lord and lives with her lesbian lover is not hated and despised by her family and by me.

Her own sister prays for her constantly that the Lord will still have his hand upon her. She is sometimes at her sister and brother-in-law's house and if I am visiting I am cordial and engage with her in small talk. I do not burn my bridges.

She has put herself out of the church and claims that she is happy; indeed happier than she has ever been. We can only pray for her and uphold our testimonies to the love of God in us.

But her salvation is between her and the Lord. That is why we have so many scriptures warning us of the perils to our faithfulness.

But in the end on that last day, what then for her if she is still unrepentant and defiant? What then?

24 “Every one then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock; 25 and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

26 And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; 27 and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.”

lol! Sure, but you'll have to check back with me in the morning because it's getting late, that previous poster has stirred my thinking, and I have this beautiful, soft, warm, round 55 year old woman I'd really like to go see ;)

I'll try to break it down into smaller increments, too. Maybe that way any comments or inquiries you might have can be easier isolated and better addressed.

When I read this, about this lady, you wanted to visit....I kid you not,I thought it read, that she was “ round” I thought blooming cheek...I had to read it about 5 times....before I got the right message I believe....she’s round 55 in age?

my point was, look how many times I had to read it, before what I believe was the right message.

Clancy, you were not alone! That is exactly how I read that sentence... Josheb caused me to have nightmares last night.... I was trying to keep the images of Josheb turning off his computer and running upstairs to meet his well, "round wife".... I am not sure I can forgive him after that.....

But regarding this subject... Yesterday I responded with a few sentences which I am sure made no sense to anyone..... The purpose was to convey that I have the opportunity to be and learn and listen to people who love the Word of God.... and at anytime I can turn off the computer, or move to any other site / topic available and essentially, walk away from God..... it is always A CHOICE

I don't know if these two examples are in line with your thoughts, but I have absolutely no ability to understand how Lucifer, who was in the presence of God could CHOOSE to walk away.... now I know we call it pride but that just is not something that satisfies my unbelief.

And  I guess there is another example that is unimaginable.... We have Adam and Eve who were literally also in the presence of God and yet they were willing to disobey His one command.....

Once again, it goes back to the big C - CHOICE.  So, in my opinion we have examples of folks who were in the most wonderful position to continue in His presence and chose otherwise, and then we have characters like Manasseh who did return to God after a truly evil life.

Just my thoughts, Charlie

I understand about Adam and Eve.....God showed me something many years ago....i wouldn’t dare try and sort it out in my own strength ,it would petrify me...I wait on God to sort it out,....so I too can’t understand why they did what they did?

Yes they were tempted, I have been as well, but I wouldn’t dare go against God.

No, she's curvy.

I like my women with curves and bumps , especially when they're in the right places ;). I'm hot for a fifty-five year old!  When we snuggle and spoon and cuddle, etc., she's warm and soft and round with bumps and curves in all the right places and it's nice; and as enticing as these conversations can be you folks are simply no match temptation-wise. I had to go :D

Oh no you didn't!!!!!  Josheb, I just mentioned the nightmares due to your comment about your "round wife" and now you went and did this..... Not only will I never sleep again, I have to spend my waking moments with information from your personal diary slamming each side of my brain....

There isn't an emoji offered in this site that I could possible select to express myself right now......this will be a good time to get it all over with  ...:duh:

But to ensure no one else decides to off themselves, I am going to insist you get back  on your soapbox, leave your lovely wife alone and keep those thoughts to yourself..... there are children in hear....:soapbox:

Just my thoughts,  Charlie  (and to ensure my safety, just kidding of course)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
