Mom was a sinner, but me as a baby only inherited death. Not guilt. Sure, I will sin considering the world I have come into, but a new born child is NOT a sinner - just prone to eventually sin. Big difference!

Amen!!...we inherited sin/ death.

As to the mention in the thread, of whether aborted babies make it to heaven and be with the Lord forever. We might take a look at 2 Samual 12:23.

But now that he is dead, why should I go on fasting? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”

do we have the right chapter and verse here?

The point I was making with the passage is that morality can not be ascribed to tissue, but it can be ascribed to a person. And therefore, making the point that a baby is not just a blob of tissue, but a living and breathing person.

And has a spirit(ruach)which returns to God at death.

Do miscarried, aborted, stillborn , etc. babies go to heaven?  Because if they do, it seems almost unfair. Why do they get to go to heaven while the rest of us suffer here on earth. Why couldn’t we have gone straight to heaven?

Why are we here?  To learn and grow close to Jesus?  Ok then why are the babies able to skip that and go straight to heaven?

If babies can be given some type of exception and be admitted into heaven then why can’t we all be given that exception?  Why can’t we all just be allowed into heaven when we want to be?

Luke 12:47-48 might be relevant.

“The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

This is one of many verses that demonstrate that God is fair and just. I'm extrapolating here but unborn children didn't know the will of God and did nothing wrong. In Matthew 20:1-16 we see another parable where a man hires workers to work in his vineyard for a set amount. As the day goes by he recruits more workers. Some labored from the start, others later in the day, and others in the very last stretch. All of them were rewarded equally. When the earlier workers complained about it the land owner illustrated his fairness in paying the workers what they agreed on and his generosity in paying the earlier ones the same. I think that when we pair these two parables it demonstrates God's character and way of thinking in dealing with this sort of thing. A person who's sinned their whole life can genuinely cry out to God for forgiveness on their deathbed and be accepted. God showing mercy to those who die when they're too young to understand is very much in the same vein.

ok pure comjecture and just my thoughts.surely a baby in the womb is of its own just flesh and bone and  not a living being in its own right,.and not having drawm breath and  so no life of its own as in soul life other than that given by its mother, and at death would return to dust.

A baby is separate and unique in the womb. It is an IMAGER of the Most High God.

Many premies live well.

Why would it not? Humans are body, soul and spirit....

The soul is the essence of humanity’s being; it is who we are. The spirit is the immaterial part of humanity that connects with God.  Scripture says that John the Baptist while in Elizabeth's womb reacted to the sound of Mary's voice... so...

If all John was.... is just a warm blob in Elizabeth's womb, without soul or spirit. There would not of been any reaction upon Mary's greeting.

Luke 1:40-41
where she entered the home of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb,

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
