God eventually gave people animals to eat in Genesis but I guess we just ate plants before that ?  So if that is true than maybe veganism is more healthy than a non- vegan diet?

I believe (which means it may not be true but it might...) God gave man the fruit of the trees to eat from in Eden. But then came the flood and the Earth had to recover from this. In the time it took the trees to grow man would have starved to death. A combination of other vegetation and animals who also were recovering from being small in number.

There was farming after the expulsion from Eden imply crops other than orchards, but I personally believe man was a tree fruit harvester only in Eden.

what about Abel and the offering? The sheep would have produced milk for cheese etc and the fleece would have been used for many things. Maybe they didnt eat the meat, but why have the sheep if not to use them for food like milk and cheese?

How would Abel know the best portions to offer if they hadnt eaten them?

I wouldn't want to give up milk. I like the idea of being a vegetarian but haven't figured out how to get the protein I need without a little meat consumption, though when you come right down to it, I don't eat a lot of meat.

On Netflix there is documentary called game changer it could be on you tube as well in the documentary meat eater athletes change over to plant based food and they become better stronger and leave all the meat eaters behind its scientific as well as results based.

It will help answer you questions.

Like its been mentioned in Genesis, Before they sinned, everything was good, everything was in harmony. Animals, humans ate plants, fruits, seeds, nuts, whatever came from nature  without having to kill life that God breathed his soul into: man and animal. also drinking milk, cheese is not a sin, it does not involve killing anything.

It was only after Adam and Eve sinned that everything of Gods creation changed, everything became more hostile.

Adam and Eve did not need to kill and animal for skin covering,  as they hurried to look to cover their shame, and if God gave them or showed them were to look for a covering, they could have taken the skin from an animal that died naturally or even by violence as it was after they sinned and the earth became accursed.

The animal offerings also came after Adam and Eve sinned. Nowhere does it say God demanded they kill anything for him.

Sacrificing animals was and is a pagan practice.

If we read carefully through Holy scriptures, God says he never liked burnt offerings.

God prefers mercy over Burnt offerings all the time.

1 Samuel 15:22

And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

Hosea 6:6

For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

Psalm 51:16-17

For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Proverbs 21:3

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Amos 5:21-24

“I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Mark 12:33

And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

Matthew 9:13

Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

Micah 6:6-8

“With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?” He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Jeremiah 7:22-23

For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. ***But this command I gave them:*** ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

Psalm 40:6-8

In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required. Then I said, “Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me: I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

Isaiah 1:11-17

What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says the Lord; I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed beasts; I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of goats. “When you come to appear before me, who has required of you this trampling of my courts? Bring no more vain offerings;*** incense is an abomination to me.*** New moon and Sabbath and the calling of convocations— I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates; they have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

Ecclesiastes 5:1

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. To draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil.

Matthew 12:7

And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Hebrews 10:4-10

For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me; in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure. Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’” When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law of men not God),

Matthew 23:23

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

Psalm 50:8-9

Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me. I will not accept a bull from your house or goats from your folds.

Matthew 5:24

leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Notre: a gift not a burn animal sacrifice.

Jeremiah 26:13

Now therefore mend your ways and your deeds, and obey the voice of the Lord your God, and the Lord will relent of the disaster that he has pronounced against you.

Jeremiah 11:7

For I solemnly warned your fathers when I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, warning them persistently, even to this day, saying, Obey my voice.

Exodus 19:5

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine.

Jeremiah 11:4

that I commanded your fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Listen to my voice, and do all that I command you. So shall you be my people, and I will be your God

So God Never commanded anyone EVER to sacrifice and kill animals or people as a sacrifice.

Yet man continues to disobey God, continue to return to the pagan ways of Egypt where the sacrifice of animals and human children take place.

we still see it now and many so called Christians even partake in it today, justifying themselves and with a lot of pride.

Example those who perform Abortions ( child sacrifice to Bal and those who knowingly use  live aborted tissues, extracted from the baby while is was alive without any pain killer for the baby that was being aborted, and using their body parts in vaccines.)

Making all who partake in such guilty of the same murder.

Because of the fallen nature of sin that occurred in the Garden of Eden, man is left with this fallen nature and needing desperately to be transformed into a NEW creation by coming to truthfully , knowingly and conscientiously accepting Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior , to finally become willing to be molded By His ways over our fleshly and deceitful ways...

As for eating , let it be on each mans conscious what they are doing.

Many of us are guilty of a lot of unhealthy eating, drinking.

God shows us the way to temperance  by becoming willing to be guided by His Holy Spirit, His voice over ours.

Not that we have attained perfection but that we strive toward doing His will over our as we keep growing in Him, becoming more and more His new creation-Christ Like- the child of God He always intended for us to be, before the fall of Adam and Eve.

Only Christ Jesus can redeem a person from their fallen nature.

One Day their will be no more killings of animals or humans. All will return to Gods Truth of what true life without sin is all about.

Until then we remain with a corrupted sin nature to crucify daily in Christ Jesus and choose instead to walk in Him and for Him and that means obeying Him and the Law of righteousness He has so kindly grafted into our hearts by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God that lives in a true Christian believer.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
