The people in my life either seem to be: - people who say they are believers but don't know anything about the Bible - are believers but they don't read the Bible or study but attend church because that is what they've always done - people who are not believers and don't care I want not only fellowship but study and deep thinking and discussions that go deeper than "Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead". 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So I found another one but the other members were extremely abusive and unChristlike. So I came back here and soon found that I had to dig into the Scriptures to answer many of the questions people were asking. I had to be sure I quoted them correctly. This was a very good exercise because I really Love God's word and applying it to my own life. In addition, this forum was monitored well enough that very few have been abusive toward me. That is probably why I stayed. I like what someone said quoting 1 Cor. 1 1Co 1:26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 1Co 1:27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 1Co 1:28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 1Co 1:29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 1Co 1:30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 1Co 1:31 so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord." Those who are pedantic and proud about their education and positions may be short on the greatest gift--LOVE. They may be wanting in allowing the Holy Spirit to minister through them. But they still need OUR compassion and prayers. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. And even though I hate to be humbled, I pray that God keep me that way. I am still coming back here and still enjoying the connections and learning that each joint supplies. I may not always respond to those who are a part of the "brains" but I do enjoy reading their contributions. I enjoy and sometimes join in with the camaraderie of long time contributors. I have shared stories of my life in hopes someone relates and the Lord uses that story to help. I have added by 2 cents to parts of different threads that I have some kind of tie with or knowledge in. I believe that the Lord moves in mysterious ways and if this forum is one of those ways, yay!
