Seems as it's becoming more and more common to see YOGA CLASSES offered at Christian Churches.  It's a sad thing.  It's hard for me to understand why Christians would want anything to do with NEW AGE teachings....  There are so many health principles taught in the Bible,  there is no reason to go looking elsewhere.  Many Christians don't understand that by attending these classes they are opening the door to spiritualism and Satan.

@Tammy Roesch

I think another question is why are churches renting out space and time to the people doing these classes?

There are a growing number of places calling themselves churches, that have no desire to follow God and any of His moral teachings and principles.

Like many, I have watched things go from bad to worse in many of the churches over the years, and expect it to get much worse as the years pass, as Gods word says it will.

I think we are just on the tip of the iceberg, and we haven't seen anything yet, compared to what is coming.

The "SNOWBALL OF SIN" is rolling down a shallow incline right now, in our society, but as time passes, that incline will get steeper as people become more aggressive with their "Open Sins," as more and more encourage others to do the same.

Just look at TV this year and how cursing more and more is becoming the norm, even show titles, including some shocking words I never thought we'd ever see, and all the "Gay" inuendo's that are getting stronger and more prevalent in commercials, movies and sit-coms.

Keep your eye's and ears open, and hold onto your socks, as you haven't see or heard anything yet. All this is just the beginning :happyhappy:., but it's becoming more agressive and "IN YOUR FACE", as they push the limits as far as they can.

How does one know if they are opening a door for Satan, or the Holy Spirit?  BTW I am very familiar with both doors.

How does one prepare themselves to pray and have a good conversation with the Lord?   Does one believe one can set the world aside and put themselves in a situation to interface with the Holy Spirit.....    if not how does one really pray?

My kids school put on weekly yoga sessions. My two children were the only kids in the entire school who didnt do it. It made me feel dreadful but yoga is utterly insidious and has spiritual consequences whether you just want the physical stretches. A lot of people think that the two can be separated but they cannot. The physical poses themselves carry spiritual weight. I think many pastors are just not educated.

WhiteDove, is the school your kids attend a Public School or a Church School.  I agree! It's impossible to separate the two!

It's a public school. To do it in a church school would be even worse! However, I used the fact that the school is supposed to be secular as part of my argument with the principal. I told him that it is supposed to be a non faith school, so why are classes based on Hinduism being run for everyone? I'm not in the States.

Yes, Christians should not get involved with Yoga because of the anti- christian philosophy. A born again christian needs to have good christian discernment and turn away from anything that would compromise their faith in God. That includes anything a Church would offer.

Yes, it would be even worse in a Church School....that was a good answer for the principle :)

My experience in the last few years is that those who claim to be believers are so busy being involved in the world, they don't have enough time to be involved with God and His word, and are so uneducated in the truth from lack of personal study, that 1st Peter 4:18 was written for them, "And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved....", and Matthew 7:14, For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are "Few" who find it.

I know. I've been there!!! And thanks be to God, the Holy Spirit led me away from all that, and I now see my past life in those still there!!!

1 John 2:15, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

James 4:4 "You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."

Romans 12:1-2, " Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
