Amen, and it's His "work" in our heart that will keep us from ever willing after the old man again (Phl 2:13). It's the heart God claims, because it's where one's treasure is (Mat 6:21).

I am thinking about that, something sounds off, I will be back.

On reading the above scriptures we come to understand that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ he is also one of the children of God and God is their Father.

The Heavenly Father of Jesus Christ is also our Father.

Our place is with him in Jesus Christ name.

We are born in the family of the Heavenly Father by faith in Jesus Christ.

We have the blood of Jesus Christ in our hearts death cannot come to us.

We are alive to God because of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is our peace with God.

And Jesus Christ is indeed God.

Jesus warned us that the road to salvation is straight and narrow and that only a few of us will find it. Many are traveling down the wrong road, which leads to destruction. This is because many of us have heard about salvation but few of us want to do what is necessary to get salvation (many are called but few are chosen). (Matthew 7:13, 14) Many contend that Jesus did it all and now all we have to do is have faith. Nevertheless, the bible speaks of only one way to get eternal salvation. "One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Ephesians 4:5,6).  The road to eternal salvation starts with knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. God doesn't want us to memorize two or three verses, but instead he left the entire bible so we can learn how to get salvation. If we learn it, believe it and obey it (the bible), salvation will be our reward. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. (Matthew 16:27)

The bible says, we must not only be a hearer of the word, but a doer of the word also (James 1:21-22). DON'T FOOL YOURSELF! If we really have faith in Jesus our actions will prove it. If Jesus is our Lord then we will obey him. Even a child will obey a parent, by getting good grades in school, for the reward of a new bicycle. The child cannot earn money for the bicycle, but instead must act upon their faith to receive the free gift. We must do the same to receive eternal life. "FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD(James 2:20).

A man asked Jesus this very question, "...What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?", and Jesus replied, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:16-19).

This was a direct answer to a direct question, which all of us will do well to take heed to. Anybody can claim to have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Faith and works go together and you can't have one without the other. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12).

The majority of churches teach a work based salvation however they don't realize there is nothing here that God is going to keep not even the memory of...  This is probably the most telling of error thinking the manipulation of things that will be forgotten will produce eternal anything...

In the 50s  I was neither grounded well in the word nor had been taught any doctrine, so it was very easy for me to trust in my own works.  I became the foolish Galatian.

Gal 3:3  Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?

Somehow I thought that Jesus had given me a fresh start to try to be good enough to go to heaven.  I had begun in the Spirit since the Father had revealed Himself to me and the Spirit had convicted me of sin.  I had repented and read through the New Testament. Yet when I trust in my works I automatically stop trusting in God's grace to perfect me. That resulted in self righteousness.  BIG MISTAKE!

You might say that I was not really saved, but I really wanted to obey God.  I just had not learned to let go and let God.  In fact, I didn't know it was possible to do so.  My only doctrine came from "Santa Clause is Coming to Town."   He's making a list, checking it twice, looking to see who's naughty or nice, Santa Clause is coming to town.  He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake.  When I finally learned that salvation is by faith which was freeing,  my mom told me "but you still have to be good", which sunk me back into the oppression of trying to be good enough to go to heaven.   Eventually I was taught foundation doctrines like the trinity, salvation by faith, as well as taught about the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  I learned again to walk in the Spirit, but this time I recognized how He was working to guide me.

And Jesus Christ is indeed God.

That's a little bit tricky, it will depend on what someone has in his mind.

Definitely he is not the Heavenly Father.

He is the man Jesus.

We all know how he started and where he ended.

He has the power of God.

He said in the book of revelation I am the all Mighty God.  He said more than once that I am God.

But this after he was Glorified.

We cannot preach the Gospel by arguing that Jesus is God.

What he is now after being glorified is understood.

But when he was born and how he was born and his life and his sufferings and death on the Cross and his descend to the place of the dead, following his in his human Inheritance this can be not as God but as a man. Divine but still a man. And not as God.

God never went down to the place of the dead where Jesus Christ went.

Jesus the Son of God who died for the forgiveness of our sins.

He was divine he was not from the seed of a Jewish man.

He was conceived and was for nine months the full gestation period for a human in the womb of Mary and then the labour pains and he was born.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
