Well, we each have our own studies, views and interpretations of scripture. What exactly is a biblical scholar? If they are so educated and knowledgeable; why all the different and opposite views and total disagreements reading the very same thing [Bible]?

I'll briefly throw my hat in to the ring for a moment with a view: I see mystery Babylon in Revelation as two distinct and related entities; a church-state. There looks to be a "mystery spiritual Babylon" and a "commercial mystery Babylon."

If you would like a response, which one are you asking about? In either case, America is participating in it, and a leader.

There are actually three:

The Vatican is a city state all unto itself.  Sets the stage spiritually for a huge part of the worlds population

The City of London which is the central square mile of London which is a city state that was given to the Rothschild family a very long time ago.  Much if not all the worlds financial power resides through there.

The 8 to 10 square mile capitol complex of the USA in Washington DC.  It was removed from the core USA a long time ago and set up as a corporation all to itself.  Has it's own laws (Roman Lex Fori) and government and pretty much militarily dominates the whole world.

Three City States that control pretty much everything the dark ones are involved in.    And the three are not Christian in nature.

These three

@Dennis1209 I'm open for either response you care to give. Spiritual and commercial.

@other onethat pretty much what that movie is saying is that the Vatican is the little horn. Guess i shoulda took notes and copied them in here so I'd have a better response ?

I'm just a little overwhelmed because I've always just listened to pastors and preachers in the dispensational viewpoint and now hearing in a different perspective it makes just as much sense if not a little more.

I don't wanna fight over whose right and whose wrong but the way I see it , its gotta be one or the other... we can't all be right over the same topic.

Is there a good way to study the Bible that compares verses from OT to the NT??

It takes time to do that.   Personally I listen more than I read unless I'm researching something in particular.  I worked for Xerox as a service engineer for 38 years and 30+ years of that drove an average of 3,500 miles a month.  I listened to the Bible so many times I lost track....    but 38 years is a long time.  I could listen to the New Testament at least three times a month for years, and every three months listen to the Whole thing once.  That took pretty much the entire month.   And when you listen to it you don't have to pronounce all those difficult names.    I did take notes on things that struck me as important  and connected together.    It's basically just how much time one wants to spend.  This is not for everyone though.   My wife is a visual learner and she can listen to a single chapter twice and not remember what she heard.

It takes about 20 hours to hear the New Testament.   I am an auditory learner so I pick up on things more listening than visual.   For several years we kept the Bible playing all night long as white noise because neither myself or my wife can sleep in total quite.  If you are an auditory learner just listening over and over, ones sub concious seems to put things together in the background...    Listen to the New Testament several times and as you get familiar with the whole thing then do the old testament and things there seem to connect as one goes through it.

As for what we should do to prepare for it, there really isn't any place to run and hide from what I read in the Word.   But I do understand that if one has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, he will guide us into what to do as things progress.  We should not plan ahead on things to say or do for the Spirit will speak through us when needed.

So basically to prepare make a closer connection to the Holy Spirit for he will either protect us or give us the strength to get through....    and if we don't have the Holy Spirit we are pretty much screwed up to start with and have no hope.    I don't see how non Christians deal with the world today...

I listened to part of it and I'll catch the rest later....    Some of the SDA stuff I don't think I could go along with, but that's just me.

Little horn, Big horn, Beasts and Kings and fallen angel princes....    I've personally never been able to make it all go into a homogeneous picture where it all fits together.   I kind of stopped trying back in the 70's when I delved into studying the Occult and ultimately Satan his his crew.   It took God himself to get me out of that quagmire.

There is a couple of people here that seem to have a better grasp on how the Bible fits together than I do myself.   But I have dwelt with the dark side for enough years to see how they have moved among the planet to not necessarily control things as much as guide them.   I think the time for control is near though from the way things are looking.

But it is a land that has measured the Marshes over which certain men fled from the Old Hall and meeting place wherein they were preserved - when their liberties were taken away by a harsh Bishop. And from the Old Hall to Boston Gaol and from Boston Goal to Plymouth and from Plymouth to the Americas. And ten years ago I sat in the Marshes and began a renovation of a large building where in the darkness and bitter cold of winter I first knew that a few would come from the Americas and join us in our labours. So I say come to England.

Well I was going to say something silly but decided it probably isn't the time or the place. I did think of more than a few comebacks to this invitation.:D

I very much appreciate the invite. I suspect I would probably find sinful men over there too.

It would probably take me a very long time to get over the culture shock and figure out how to stay alive on the food. If the Lord so chooses, I very well could end up there since I won't be fighting a demand from Yahweh.

I am pretty well settled here.So far comfortably settled.Who knows? God can come along at any time and throw a wrench in our plans.

If I had to make plan B what would that be?

I know what you mean entirely. I too find my humour is a little bit in need of a check at time too. But strangely I feel the same way about America as you do with England. Food, culture and so on - yet I find despite myself I have a burden for the American people - and I have no idea who they are in truth because you are a nation of many peoples.

For myself it is a matter of the idea of Babylon that arrests my attention and that was why I wrote what I did in this thread. It was of course said lightly - but I have been thinking about this issue of Babylon and America and end times since the Lord expressly laid a burden on my heart in 1997. And that was grounded in an Ezra precept of the rebuilding of the Temple. That time when I was in our premises when we first bought them in 2012 I was sitting in a bitterly cold large room at my laptop with building material all around me and sensing the Lord when I was in a conversation online with some brethren in the USA about the subject of Babylon and the USA - and that leading of the Lord came to me that I expressed earlier.

So many times I have been moved to have a heart for the USA and I have even wept in a sense of grief at times whilst praying and seeking the Lords' face and believing that there is an underlying vulnerability in the USA that if it were met would produce a great harvest. I do believe that some how many US citizens are literally like children in an almost unfathomable sense that they are literally walking into an end time tribulation because of other citizens who are unspeakably cynical and carnal and are leading them astray. Yet deep down they know it and at times it suddenly shows its hand - yet gets covered over again almost as quickly as it reveals itself.

I don't know - but it is a burden that comes and goes and has done since 1997.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
