If we profess Christ here is some information you should know. John 3:16-18 should be translated as follows.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing INTO Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. The one believing INTO Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed INTO the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(Joh 3:16-18 LITV)
In respect to the Greek word εἰς translated INTO in the above text here is an excerpt From the BDAG lexicon which is basically a dictionary.
εἰς prep. w. acc. (Hom.+; s. the lit. under ἀνά, beg., also ATheimer, Die Präp. εἰς, ἐν, ἐκ im NT: Progr. z. 24. u. 29. Jahresbericht des niederösterr. Landes- Real- u. Obergymnasiums Horn 1896; 1901; AOepke, TW II 418–32), indicating motion into a thing or into its immediate vicinity or relation to something.
1 extension involving a goal or place, into, in, toward, to...
Though εἰς can be translated "in" it shouldn't be because contextually INTO fits with the rest of the Gospel, For He is the vine and we are the branches. Without Him we can do nothing. Jo 15:5
The prayer of a righteous man availeth much. So it is written...
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
(Joh 17:20-23 KJV)

There are a lot of people that say they believe in Jesus. But unless the  life and actions of a person are affected by the one they say they believe in (Jesus), it is no more than an empty confession. The demons believe and tremble.

Hi and blessings, my walk with God has brought me where this that you write about, this believing into Christ is the truth of the issue… Believing into Christ, believing into righteousness, for by faith does one believe into the truths they see so they might know those truths by experience…

For all things come from God by faith… Be blessed as your relationship with Christ reaps the fruit of faith, as you come to know Him more and more through the experiencing, through the believing into…

Be blessed in Him, a fellow believer into, Not me

Praise God for your kind words. He truly moves us and establishes us through and in Him. For it is He that works in us both to will and do His good pleasure. That is the Gospel, the Kingdom of God. Us in Him He in us that the World might believe.

To believe in (into) someone, to me means to believe in what that individual represents. If I believe in loving my neighbor, which is the same as loving God/Love, I then believe into Christs Word. If on the other hand, I profess faith in Christ, but I believe in hating other people; I then in truth do not believe in Christ, but instead am an Anti believer in Christ, being an Antichrist.

What is the message?

There not one but many messages in this post.

But those messages are not part of the OP.

John 3:16,17,18 is about how God loved the world, is not about how God loved the underworld.

John 3:16 can be read how God loved mankind, all mankind.

Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of the sins for all mankind.

Is the Devil part of mankind?

Jesus Christ was born and lived and died and resurrected as a man while being the son of Man.

Jesus Christ is the Savior of Man only.

The Devil is mad at something and he is not happy about something.

Because he had some people he could call his own and that not because of their works, but because they had refused to believe in Jesus Christ that he died for the forgiveness of their sins, those same people they are not his anymore because they now have come to believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins.

The Devil is mad because he has lost them on the principle of faith in Jesus Christ.

Those who believe in Jesus Christ are secured under the blood of Jesus Christ.

Those who at some time they were in the Devil's camp Jesus Christ took them from his camp and put them into his camp when they believed in him.

The Devil is mad because he

Lost them and because he cannot take them from Jesus Christ even when they sin because they are under the eternal fountain of the blood of Jesus Christ.  They are secured as long as they believe.

If you disagree let me know with your reasons why.

We often see signs and banners at sporting events that say "John 3:16." Wrongly so, John 3:16 is often written as graffiti on highway overpasses. Some "entertainers" have thrown in a twist and replaced "John" with "something else 3:16." So, what is the big deal with John 3:16? Why is this one verse so important?

No other verse in the Bible so succinctly summarizes God’s relationship with humanity and the way of salvation. Some consider John 3:16 as the "theme verse" for the entire Bible. John 3:16 tells us of the love God has for us and the extent of that love—so great that He sacrificed His only Son on our behalf. John 3:16 teaches us that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, will be saved. John 3:16 gives us the glorious hope of eternal life in heaven through the love of God and death of Jesus Christ.

There is no more powerful way to deliver this message than to let John 3:16 speak for itself. Here is John 3:16 in 22 different English Bible translations. The words may be slightly different, but the glorious message is the same.

Hi, thanks for the link, most interesting.. Having gone through the different translations I noticed that one did translate the word ‘in’ as ‘into’..  Thought it was worth a mention??

Literal Translation of the Bible
John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Be blessed in the pursuing  of Him..

Gary

I used to really believe this was true. But it invokes a works salvation (to get saved, to stay saved, or to prove to others we are saved).

Jesus said unless you come as little children (who simply believe / accept) you cannot enter life.

He said the work of God is to believe the one he has sent.

He said the Father loves us because we believe he (Jesus) is come out of God.

Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. He hid behind his wife twice, sired Ishmael, etc.

David was a man after God's own heart... look at what he did.

Moses murdered the Egyptian...

I mean, I don't want to go down a list of bashing these pillars of faith but to show these high and lofty legalist definitions of belief / faith do not square with scripture.

John 3:16-18 mentions nothing about works or the appearance of belief. Only belief or unbelief.

Ephesians 2:8-10 specifically forbids works theology but rather we are Christ's workmanship and Christ's alone.

The faith chapter (Hebrews 11) begins each entry with "by faith" ...

By faith Christ was able to do these works through them... is how this should be understood.

As I said, I used to parrot the traditionalist view of salvation and I have since learned it is a way to steer people away from salvation and to control followers depriving them of salvation and the individual priesthood / ministry we are all given as believers in Christ (Revelation 1:6 / Revelation 5:10 / 1 Peter 2:3-9).

I am not faulting any one individual. It is the system the organized religion masquerading as the Church that causes division and deceit depriving us of true salvation to follow after the traditions of man we most agree with.

Jesus prayed 3 times in John 17 that we in the Church be one as the Father and he are one.

Look around for yourselves. Is the traditional Church one?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
