All police should be vaccinated for public safety concerns, as well as all health care workers and teachers.

That is your opinion. Do you think they should all get a flu vaccine as well?

I have inexpensive Tarus autos in .22, 380, 40, and 9mm.   They all have hundreds upon hundreds of rounds through them and the only time any of them failed to go bang was from ammunition that didn't have any powder in them....   and I no longer purchase that brand.    One does need to keep them cleaned and lubed though.

The .40 is a nice weapon, brother. Taurus is an excellent manufacturer and I've heard good things about their firearms. I tested a Smith & Wesson police issue .45 semiautomatic (1911 type) with a heavy steel frame. A solid sidearm which performed admirably in a filthy state. My friend's assortment of 9mm pistols (some CZs and a Beretta if my memory serves) jammed several times on the range, but that .45 never jammed. He had a Colt .45 1911 type and it never jammed, either. I preferred the Smith & Wesson because of the heavy steel frame.

Are we going to have a free for all with guns because of the shortage of police? Fear even going outside the house?

Not in Arizona.  God fearing good citizens have guns for protection FROM the criminals.

Imagine a shortage of police and only the criminals with guns.

How safe are you feeling about going outside of the house then?  Do some research and you will find whereever they allow guns to be owned and carried by law abiding citizens, crime is lower.  Period.  It is a fact.  When they allow guns to be owned where they once were not, crime goes down.

Do you know why they don't send armies into the US?  Because the  US is a well armed army in itself. WHY do you think they keep wanting to take away our right to bear arms?  Do you really think the criminals will turn their guns in?  So where does that leave us?  With a shortage of police and the criminals with all the guns.

Well this is a "loaded" subject.

I won't tell if I have a gun or not. I will say that my area , even though many Amish are here, is armed to the gills. The Amish hunt and have plenty of guns. The one I often drive to his jobs is a hunter. After talking with him I would not be so sure their peaceful demeanor  wouldn't go out the door if you entered their home meaning harm. The English here are also hunters and gun users. Any breach into someone's house around here is taking a huge gamble you won't ever get out either injured or alive at all. Thieves have already decided to gamble.

I have the security stuff but that probably means nothing to a determined criminal. You can get into most residential homes in less than 5 minutes locked or not. Locks are mainly there for the owner's peace of mind.

There are both good police and bad police. Around here I think most of them are good, but after all of the recent events causing many of them to retire or do other things, all of the best help is going away which only leaves what cities and townships can find. "B" and "C" employees that would not have been candidates only a few years ago. Who knows how the police forces will shape up in the future. I will say it doesn't look good. Law enforcement probably isn't on the radar of most young people now. Often a military record makes a great resume for that job which in and of itself can be scary all depending. In the military they learn warfare primarily. How to overcome an enemy. The general public is not always the enemy. Some of these guys can 'snap'.

The old rules of being in a city probably apply and then some. Don't walk around looking up at the buildings or like you don't know where you are. Don't look like you have anything they want to steal.......and sometimes gangs just decide to shoot at people for sport. Many of the police forces on larger US cities have been severely understaffed after the riots and police hate. Not one or two short. Hundreds short.

I only noticed this post a few minutes ago. I like the pun, brother. Timely and accurate.

I go through the "mulling over a firearm" thing once or twice a year and I always decide against it. I will not condemn others because they own firearms but as for myself, they're not for me outside of the range (invited by someone to fire theirs). Marksmanship is an enjoyable exercise and I'm a competent shot, but that's where it ends.

I don't mind sharing this with others, but I understand your silence on the matter. I'm by no means an expert but I do have practical experience with firearms and I don't mind "gun talk" now and then, but it's neither an obsession nor even a hobby. I don't own one and I'm confident I never will. I don't see the need for a shootin' iron, no thanks. :)

I shoot rat shot shotgun shells in the .22 cal   good for snakes and mice when camping.

if you do change your mind, take safety and defense classes.   That is very important.   And like driving and flying practice a lot.   Be involved with the laws of both your state and anywhere you travel...   there are states I will not go through with a weapon in the car even though legal.

I'm not sure I can agree with that Debra.

Which part do you not agree with?  That the United States of America was established and based on Christian morals and values? That the morality of the majority has not forsaken their Christian values and morals?  That "The Light" is almost out in the USA? That the Holy Spirit is not revealing the end times? Just curious.

We know that much of the Christian population are silent and non-confrontational most of the time because we are taught to be peacemakers.  But we also know there is a time for peace and a time for war.  A time to love and a time to hate.  And so on.  Only the Holy Spirit can lead us in the direction each of us are chosen to go.  Every joint supplies in the Kingdom of God.

That's what I can't agree with.   You can go look at the architecture of the capitol complex to get a bit of a gist of how I feel and the thoughts of the founding fathers.   And that's a very long story that stirs up a lot of hate and discontent to get into here.  I researched and  walked with the dark side for about ten years back in the late 70s and got quite an introduction to things..    However what made this country great was the dark side wanting the freedom to do their thing and Christians kind of moved in and made the country great.    It appears that the dark side is tired of all the freedom stuff these days though.

We are just getting closer and closer to the 7 year tribulation. That is obvious. If you think it is bad now.......just wait:huh:

It's going to get worse. It always does. Times like these only end when people exhaust the desire to fight, and the actual bloodshed hasn't even started.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
