The church at Corinth was a literal hot mess.  They allowed sexual immorality in the church, they "feasted"on the Lord's Supper  as if it were a meal.  There's a lot more.  1 Corinthains is Paul trying to teach these people how  to conduct church in a proper manner.

Paul, trying stop the chaos in the worship service, told three groups of people to "be silent":

• People speaking in tongues willy-nilly and over each other.  He said only 2or 3 and if one started, the first had to stop.
• People prophecying willy-nilly and over each other.  He said the same thing - only 2or 3 at a time and if one started, the first had  to stop.
• Wives talking out loud asking their husbands questions. He said to ask questions at home.

Paul already said in chapter 11 that women could pray and prophecy in church as long as their head was covered to show  they had a husband as their head = either that or wear long hair as a covering.  This wasn't for a man to thump his chest and say, "I  don't have to wear a covering, I'm in charge." 

Paul said women who pray and prophecy in church should wear a head covering because of the angels.  What does that mean? That's another discussion.

In NZ we are constantly being made aware of grievances. 

What was once termed "workplace banter" is now reported variously as discrimination, intimidation, victimisation, and marginalisation. 

Mental Health issues are a growing concern and many campaigning individuals and lobby groups maintain high profiles here, one even awarded a Knighthood ( Sir John Kirwan ) , but if the expectations of the offended are to be given more attention our Government may need a Minister of  Pampering.

Christian women are not welcome in a society such as this. I pray the worst that happens to me going forward is that I end up alone. There is far worse that can happen to me in an emasculated society. Being alone and single forever is the least of my concerns at this point. God keep us safe. This I pray. Amen.

There are the US special forces. Those guys are fighting intellectuals. No girly men allowed in there.

I don't believe it is realistic to stereotype an entire nation and place certain behavior on the whole nation. There are enough of the facts lining up to make a valid argument. I  see the wisdom in looking at the trends that led other nations to certain failure and lay our own template onto it. I can't deny we are headed toward certain failure if we fail to acknowledge the Lord and follow His ways.

I have seen many situations where little Johnny's father worked hard to make the life the family had, both in fighting a war and in working to support the family. There are probably millions of little Johnny's all sitting at their game consoles oblivious to any of it. I don't agree these are  intellectuals. The government doesn't want them to think and most of them don't. Dad worked hard. Dad was a believer, but now dad is dead and Little Johnny is a grown man who thinks church is so old school. My own son has no interest in attending church and I am saddened by it. This last generation has either fallen through the cracks or will fall through the cracks.

Of course this affects their children who will not be raised in the Christian ways. We have families in the US where they are on the 2nd and 3rd generation of not allowing for anything to do with God. 

After this past big political disaster that got a bunch of incompetents elected to prestigious offices, where police were all demonized and rioting and looting was the act of the day, we now have large swaths of entire cities destroyed thanks to this agenda to let the crazies do whatever they want to do while liberal far left politicians looked the other way. 

I always said we deserved what we get now if truly WE the people elected these clowns. No matter how you slice it, a very large portion of our present population is either non Christian, overtly following old pagan ways or unbelievers in anything. We are truly living in the last days. 

Most of the younger generation is living in a bubble right now. An artificial bubble held up by the internet and entertainment diversions. The trades are becoming almost non existent. I hate to tell you, but it's going to hit the fan in a big way eventually and when it happens and these people are 'unplugged' they will either adjust or die. With not enough people to work in trades infrastructure will crumble. No AC repair man. No plumber. No one to build a house. Loose your heat in the winter? Too bad. This is how I see it to eventually be. Presently these things are available but are priced through the roof. A skilled labor shortage is never a good thing.

There is nothing even remotely intellectual about most universities in the US unless they are Christian universities. Their political training is one sided and leaning heavy left. You know, all of the things the nations that were destroyed did. 

Thankfully this world is not my permanent home. 

I believe when God ordains a nation for judgement there isn't much mere men can do after that decision other than attempt to protect themselves and their families.

My husband has observed the shortage of trades.  He's an electrician and he really is in demand.  He's now getting paid 50 dollars an hour because that is how in demand his trade is.
