I absolutely always kneel during church. From the moment i enter the church to the moment i leave those knees don't get up off the kneeler cushions. I notice that not everyone kneels, i know some can't for medical reasons and others choose not to, we can all worship however we like and that's fine by me. I know people will probably say the position the body is in for worship doesn't matter, its how you worship in your heart that counts which i also agree with and i worship from my heart too. But personally i can't worship, praise or pray to the LORD unless i'm kneeling, it just feels right to me and the correct way to humble myself. I just wondered who else kneels in church?

Many times in the Bible they prostrated themselves on the ground (laid flat) with their faces tot the ground.

Shalom

Oh i've done that as well. I didn't mention it as i assumed no one would say they do it. It's only me and two other people who do it at my church and the other two are much older than i am. I also prostrate at home in my bedroom

They don’t have kneeler cushions at my church unless you are up at the pulpit.

I mostly kneel when I pray at home.

If I did that it would take several people to get me up when church was over.  I can't bend my left knee nearly far enough to kneel and set back on my heals and if I put my whole weight on my knees they wouldn't work when I tried to get up.

I talk to God all day long.  We are friends.

Medically, I cant stand without pain, and like other one, if I kneel, then it would take many folks to get me up again. To worship, I dont kneel or stand. I would rather focus on the Lord than to focus on how much my body hurts when I stand.

Where I do lack is raising hands in worship. Im not demonstrative by nature so I tend to sit still. It is scriptural to raise hands in worship so Im working on being more free that way.

I am more likely to kneel at home, where it is just me and the Lord! However, I think that the attitude of the heart is more important than the position of the body. You can kneel in your heart, or you can raise your hands (even in your heart) to your Abba as His child, and do what He invites you to do, approach God’s throne of grace with confidence. I do not beg my Father, I ask Him, I worship Him in both love and respect.

In church, my concern is not to draw attention to myself, people need to focus on God, while I need to be certain not to make a show of prayer!

People should do what they think best, so what I do and my opinion about it do not matter!

Shalom!

Nowadays I have no congregation to go to (except my husband and I), but I remember that when I many years ago could be in a congregation, I could kneel now and then, and especially during the prayer part.

Today, I kneel now and then by myself, or if my husband shall anoint me with oil and pray for healing in the Name of the Lord.

Else, I pray and talk with Abba Father in the Name of the Lord all the day. 😊
