Passover/Holy Communion

Luke 24 shows the clear transition from the last passover to the first Lord's Supper: looking forward to the cross and from thence it would be looking back.

It is not "holy" communion but communion. 

The Catholics have turned communion into the Mass where the bread is called the Eucharist containing Christ' presence and the wine is supposedly transformed into the blood of Christ.

Although Catholics refute the insinuation that they were crucifying Jesus Christ all over again each Mass, yet they acknowledge that they are making that one time sacrifice for sin "available" "again" thus taking that one time sacrifice for sin again and thus turning the blood of the covenant on par with the blood of goats and bulls that it bears repeating again and this is an offense to God.

Hebrews 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.....  11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

Having the Holy Ghost in us means we are saved for why there is no more sacrifice for sins to receive.

Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

But when they have that knowledge that there is no more offering for si n and begin treating the blood of the Covenant on as the same as the blood of goats and bulls to receive again...

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. So what is an idol?  Something man has made with man's hands and then believe it is a deity.

1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. 18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? 19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. 21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. 22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? 23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Are not Catholics brought under the power of the Mass for the forgiveness of past sins since last Mass?  Are the Catholic priests claiming power by their celibacy to perform the Mass to bring Christ down into the bread and the wine to receive?

And yet Lutherans would do well to reprove further from the works of Catholicism by not seeing the bread and wine as sacraments and that Christ's presence is not in them and just do communion in remembrance of Him like He said to do only. 

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Are they not seeking to receive Jesus Christ again by "holy" communion?  Then they are denying the faith that He is in us always.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Even Covenant Presbyterian Church had started communion with "We come into His Presence today.." which is not the truth when He is with us always.

Either we say what we mean or our words & "holy" communion will be seen as a work that denies Him as being in us since salvation when we had first believed in Jesus Christ at the calling of the gospel.

If Jesus meant for us to do communion for a far more important reason than do this in remembrance of Me, He would have led with that.

I believe no. Communion is not meant to be taken all the time. But more often than Passover. Jesus did not want to replace Jewish traditions. Any Jew who believes in Jesus as the messiah would tell you that. Jesus wanted to draw Himself as the important thing to all peoples. Not just Jews or Catholics.
