Predestination has everything to do with regeneration...we were predestined to be born again, adopted into his family.

Rosie I am not particularly interested in arguing with what you feel or think but am willing to discuss the Scripture with you... I don't know if you've gleaned this from Scripture but the only two things God is keeping past this place is His Word and souls of people... and every soul will give an account to His Word

John 12:48 (KJV)

[48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

so how important is it to align what we feel and think with His Word?

Sorry, enoob, I believe what I believe..I have tried “ discussing “ scripture with you,.....indeed, everyone will give account  to him and his word.

I have no fear whatsoever over that...I am led by the Holy Spirit Through scripture....I don’t lead myself.

Feelings don’t come into it enoob....we are led by the spirit....and my dear, it can take many years to understand and develop, it can only be done in God’s timing...and through the Spirits leading.

you can’t learn scripture through your own intelligence..

You aren’t my leader enoob..with great respect ,most of your posts i truly don’t understand .

So for everyone’s sake, I think we best leave it there...I don’t believe as you believe and you don’t believe as I do.

That seems to be the case ... Love ya Rosie

Without faith that God is real how could we recognize his spirit that we can’t see? I don’t believe God regenerates non believers and then they become believers. They would not have the strength required to change theirs lives which involves people they can see who will come against them.

For example my regeneration caused me to deliver bad news to people.

I told my boyfriend I can’t have sex with you anymore because I don’t want to be a fornicator.

He didn’t say ok let’s get married so we broke up. Everything was perfectly fine between us but I Put God first. He was not the only one I had to make changes with.

After regeneration there has to be hard changes we make (repentance) it’s not carry on as usual.  So we do make decisions.

Not addressing the post above mine but the whole thread.

Any word or feeling or gospel other than the one we all have as confirmed is not the true gospel. No matter how nice it might sound or feel. Taking sides on an issue against others in no way affirms or denies truth.

The gavel has to come down in favor of truth. If we begin to get into my truth .vs your truth we are no different than the world.

We surely CAN understand most of scripture through study.

This is evasion, when a poster understands everything except the views of the other side. If they can understand their view why can't they understand an opposing view. Sorry I don't buy it. To say I disagree because ***** is much different than being asked a question and refusing to even attempt to answer it by changing the subject or evading the question.

I sometimes think people run to defend someone they think is being attacked even when there are very real questions about what they say. It isn't necessarily what a person says. It has more to do with viewing someone like they are being picked on.

Then everyone walks on egg shells so as not to be offensive. In the process truth goes right out the door.

As I agree with you but we are under mandate by God to speak in love, gentleness, kindness yet still with truth ... it is not an easy matter at least for me! My flesh can easily rise up and I would kill him dead but then I wouldn't be here anymore

Actually, no.  Regarding Salvation, there is only one WAY, one TRUTH.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

i made a mess of my life, as a non believer

So did I a big mess. Most people around me say they believe in God but their lives and actions don’t show it.

I just remember how I was saying I believe but not living like it and how God eventually drew me so I figured he will draw them at the appointed time.

Hi there 😀

"...understand most of Scripture through study".

Yes indeed, Scripture exhorts us to:

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

...in my opinion, it may not actually be a lack of study which is the real issue...But rather, who exactly is rightly dividing the truth?

Folks can convince themselves that their own personal study of the Scriptures has shown them, that their interpretation of Scriptures, must be the correct interpretation..even though other godly, scholarly learned folk, arrive at a different interpretation, after having invested much much study time & effort too...

God's Word says all must choose...

Revelation 3:20 (KJV)

[20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

@enoob57, Your introduction statement: "God's Word says all must choose", it has nothing to do with the context of Revelation 3:20.

Revelation 3:20 is not asking someone who does not believe in Jesus Christ to choose to believe or not to believe in Jesus Christ.

Because Revelation 3:20 is about mature Christian believers who are members in an established Christian Church and not limited to that, it is a call to mature Christian believers disciples of the Christian faith.

It is not about unbelievers asking them to choose Jesus Christ.

It is Jesus Christ asking his own mature believers to give him some time in some specifics and important situations, about matters in understanding what we believe,

It is as if he is saying to his own mature believers indoctrinated in the teachings of Godly Christian Men, and generally to everyone who is thirty for something only him can give.

We see that first when we understand whom he is addressing and this is his own who are members of one of his favorite churches.

And then he says of the wonderful things that will happen to them if the give him some time to tell them about many things, things about the faith, and about him, which he is only the one he has that can nourish the thirst of the believers,  things they cannot find to where they are, and they can have them only from him, when they have supper with him, this is the way he put it.

Saying in some things you have sit down in the table of Men, now come and sit in my table and have supper from with me and eat from the food I will served you.

Then the result is in the following verses to verse 3:20.

The message of Revelation 3:20 is that we cannot find everything that we can have in the bible as it is or in the teachings of people who love Jesus or call them selves teachers or divine servants, because they are still learning and are still being weed or being corrected, but 3:20 it tell us not all of them they let Jesus Christ to corrected in many or some things, as they want to hold on in what they have, and they see Jesus attempts to guide them as someone who is not Jesus but as someone who is a wolf in sheep's clothing and are keeping him out of their hearts in some matters. They do not accept what he is telling them to let go of some things they value, example to let go of the Holy Mother and get hold of him, or to give me, more room in their hearts.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
