Indeed there is road up there called sky line drive quite beautiful. The mountain gets its the name from the blue haze that surrounds the mountains.  Nor sure why it does that I'll have to look it up but probably some way it reflects the blue sky on to the mountains

Yes, there's many beautiful places here, and especially in the west and north, if one likes deep fjords and high mountains, as i do.

I just can't help it, but I absolutely admire high mountains! It's like i see how majestic The Lord is Whom created such mountains. Amazing Creator!

I'll never forget the time I spent along the highway through the Saguaro forest area. Pretty lonely out there, I loved it. 

What I remember most about Phoenix: the hottest city I've passed through. Like a microwave!

Do you have mountains in Oklahoma? 

Not high ones.   The eastern part of the State has low mountains and the east rolling hills and the Southeast flat planes.   The northern central is/was grasslands before statehood.    So we have a little of it all.  We also have a lot of lakes scattered around.

I love fish and one of the first things I taught my kids was to learn was how to fish.
This stuff ain't no fish from the Gulf at Texas coasts. (Norwegian sushi ?)

The Great Lutefisk Misconception

Every Advent we entered the purgatory of lutefisk, a repulsive gelatinous fishlike dish that tasted of soap and gave off an odor that would gag a goat. We did this in honor of Norwegian ancestors, much as if survivors of a famine might celebrate their deliverance by feasting on elm bark. I would say that New Mexico is perhaps the most unusual state I've seen. It's home to the nastiest cacti I've ever encountered: cholla.

Cholla cacti are festooned with fruit pods bristling with thousands of hooked barbs approximately the width of a human hair. Those barbs are coated with a mild phytotoxin which, when one of those wicked barbs bites into the skin, burns like fire.

They're virtually impossible to extract outside of an ER but fortunately, they only burn for a half-hour or so.

I can understand that, as I am not too, cause I remember now that I tasted it many years ago and I didn't like it. 😣
