Good point about reacting to temptations but let's say someone can not help it, do they live with being single there whole life. A little similar is colors I have a favorite color blue and dislike red a whole lot, if society band all color clothes and only red could be worn it would be taxing to no end year after year end up going naked lol. I'm not saying I support the choice but to what ever it is thats affected from birth and it affects attractons can be a up hill battle but as far accepting whats happening its like taxes.

This might sound funny but I'm not being funny

I have a relative that used to take things she wanted from the time she could reach & grab for whatever she " desired" to have.

Of course she was told " no" before she was old enough to reason with & as she got older she was taught right from wrong( just as her 3 other siblings were)... This behavior went on & on until her " stealing" was so out of hand that she was taken to a psychiatrist who labeled her as a kleptomaniac

Okay my point is this-does" she can't help it" apply? I'm a Christian who just has to call a spade a spade. I will never buy into mans facts, labels or excuses because it is ALL spiritual warfare

Yes,binding spirits can pass from generation to generation, spiritual oppression & possession does not discriminate age and when a person cannot or will not resist temptation to feed the desires of their flesh there is but one cure- JESUS

Every shackle & chain is broken when we are Born Again…..... Can they help it,probably temporarily & oh boy what a struggle but when Delivered of evil..... Glory to God!

Anyway,Christians can certainly be bound again after Deliverance but then they will have Holy Spirit tugging at their heart.... Many a homosexual has been Born Again & can(& do) testify of how they were convinced they were born that way & then( some after years of struggling flesh against spirit) were FREE after they Received Gods Truth

Let's keep in mind that afflictions like hermaphrodism and the like aren't related to homosexuality and the acceptance of it (which is the topic).

I'm drinking my coffee, @kwikphilly:laugh:

(still had to scroll up and check the title of the topic to be sure ;))

I will say it pleases the Lord that we bear with affliction on this earth, which is a hard thing for us to reconcile to be sure. I was born with a defective gene which causes a specific type of muscular dystrophy, but this gene was only activated after I passed the age of 50. I inherited this from my mother who inherited it from her father, and so on.

Just an example.

Okay? Do I need more coffee? Its late for me anyway, time to say gnite:emot-hug:

Desire and attraction are different things yea they can intertwine

Of coarse a child investigates everything. But you can't make or tell the child to like red if they don't like it.

I don't think a person can desire to like something that doesn't sound logical

Can humans ever become sinless in one life time, God forgives and allows even though it's not right, should we as Christians follow in the same foot steps.

I will say though God does have the ability to turn off the arousal part of being attracted to another human sexually not so much with humans its part of being human and its decay. If someone ask God to preform that miracle on their bodies it can happen anything is possible with God.

Of course not! I figured you would laugh because I woke up hours after you did (8 am my time), so I was just starting on my coffee. I work the afternoon till late evening shift at the shelter, so I've learned to permit myself time to unwind before hitting the sack. I only wake up at 4am if I have to conduct emergency transportation for the shelter, or there's an emergency of some kind and I'm needed. After the emergency is over and I'm in the clear...

Blessings Beyond- I'm not quite sure what your talking about as I am talking about Spiritual Warfare- which would probably be so far from the other end of the spectrum, where we may find human logic& the reasoning of a finite mind.

Attraction would be simple enough to turn and walk away, someone or something looks attractive, catches the eye....God Made the female for the make with both having a physical attraction one for the other-what happens from there? They will either marry or not marry, they dont lust for the satisfaction of their flesh- Intimacy between a man & woman is selfless, not selfish

The spirit of lust is an entity, demons are liars and they are tempters- when you resist the devil he will flee. There's a huge difference between a man loving his wife vs a man lusting after her(& the same for a woman.

Back to attraction,a homosexual will say he/she is " attracted" to their own sex but it is much more than that,God Did not Create people to " mate" with their own gender, what is happening is demonic- it begins with a foothold, then a stronghold & onto oppression .... If the spirit is " welcomed" it stays

Ignoring ,denying or being oblivious to the unseen realm of demonic forces is the reason for "Born Again" Believers struggling as they do with so many" cares of this world".   I'm not one that attributes every poor choice a person makes to the devil but I do know we do not wrestle against flesh & blood- not others or our own! Spiritual" hosts of wickedness- it is Gods Word

Anyway, homosexuals wrestle with powers without the Full Armor of God- without God they stand no chance. This is no different than any other captive, slave to sin...... I personally do not regard any sin worse than the other or harder to be Delivered of... God Grace Abounds and my Redeemer Lives, Jesus Loves the homosexual, the theif, the murderer, you & I- he is no respect or of persons & neither am I

I would tell a liar it is not okay to lie the same as perversions are not okay etc..& I am just the same towards all men,I pray that all Receive Christ and the Revelation of spiritual warfare that they wrestle no more!

With love in Christ,Kwik

Yes, I definitely think this is a possibility.  The church in America is quite cowardly and spineless. It is quick to compromise with the world.  It is no longer the beacon of righteousness it once was.  There are actually churches splitting over this very issue as of God's word is open to popular vote.  I have heard some people try to claim that Jesus was gay. So yes,  the church will likely accept LGBT as saved Christians I believe within another decade.

Blessings & greetings Sister

I agree with EVERYTHING you've said here and thank you for sharing a little of your Testimony- would love to hear more when you feel compelled, perhaps in the Testimony Forum...

I just would like this opportunity to talk about " compassion"... I get a feeling( might be wrong) because so many of us weigh in on how we do not condone or " accept" homosexuality that we are not compassionate towards the homosexual- which is not the case at all. In fact its quite the opposite

I know my Brothers & Sisters and as much as they( we,I) hate the sin,we love the sinner. There is no condemnation here only Gods Truth- which applies to all sin and ungodliness, that is for straight people who are addicted to porn, pedifiles & whatever..... Personally I dont ask or care what anyone's sin is when they ask me if Jesus will Forgive them, the answer is "yes" no matter

The thing with this LGBQWSZ blah blah blah is if you do not accept their perverted lusts you are " judging".....meanwhile what anyone does in their bedroom would not be anyone's businesses had it not been shoved in anyone's face

What's next? Parades for pedophiles, porn parades how about sado masochists( we can label those each a gender?) Its absurd.... Let's have 6 dressing rooms in clothing stores, one for each perversion- sounds ridiculous doesn't it?

By the way Sis I'm not addressing you- I used your quote because I agree that's all

With love- in Christ, Kwik

Bless you sister.  Just to be clear, I wasn't implying that anyone is in the wrong here, hadn't even got to reading and catching up with the thread.   Yes, there are two sides to a coin and I was just having my say and trying to share this side of it....it is  troubling the way things are going in general.  Just that there's a difference between discerning right from wrong and judging the lost though.  Jesus came not to condemn but to save.

And the Lord has really been showing me how it's the ministration of mercy that unbinds the sinner from their sins.  Whereas law does the opposite.  People can only change when they know Christ, not before.  Jesus only had rebukes and harsh words for His own when they were in the wrong, not for lost souls that I know of.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
