1 cor 14:4 ...those who prophesy edify the church.

God speaks to each individual member thru xenolalia. Thats used to Rebuke and rebuild each member. I know its unfamiliar to you. 

Xenolalia Isnt only speaking in foreign language unfamiliar to the speaker but mostly used to Rebuke and rebuild.

Are you talking about speaking in tongues?..which one can’t understand that language either, unless someone is there to interpret what is being said.

i have heard some of the congregation speaking in tongues, as they worship, but no one was interpreting what they were saying...?

Speaking in tongue is divided. in two : Glosolalia and Xenolalia.

God speaks to us through scripture....

2Ti 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Not true, Glosolalia is when Holy Spirit takes over in desperate situation.

Jesus is always trying to tell us something. The life is a parable through which He teaches us about Him and His will for us. It is up to us to figure out the message.

⁶ In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

 

This applies to our prayer life. It does not apply to witnessing at work, there if one is an educated faithful christian, the spirit will bring to our memory what we need to say giving us the wisdom to apply it.
