If you want a more contemporary answer, the reason is because of the entire history Christianity being anti-Jewish. In fact badly so. I would even say that Christianity has done more harm to Jews and Judaism over it’s history, than Rome ever could have done to Jews.

Add to this that Christians have, in the name of Jesus, falsely killed Jews, during the Crusades, even under the banner of a cross. So claiming that they were cleansing Jerusalem for Jesus was their motto.

Not Just Jews were killed. The original call came from the eastern Churches against Arab invasion. The entire thing got way out of hand, even Christian churches became threatened.

Also, do note that when Christianity is done properly, it actually must undermine Jews. Christianity is by definition, when done properly, racist. It has to consider Gentiles as replacing Jews. So logically that reason alone will make Jews distrust Christians and if they end up believing the lies about Messianic Jews being “Christian” with the history of Christianity I summarized, you can see the reason for the distrust, although those Jews who distrust a Jew like me are confused as I have noted.

Even more contemporary. Nostra aetate. Written by Father David Neuhaus, 2015

Celebrating 60th anniversary.

An excerpt as follows from this Pastoral letter Celebrating Nostra aetate.

" In 1955, Latin Patriarch Gori promulgated the Statutes of the Work of Saint James. This foundational document defined the goals of our work:

- to develop Catholic communities;

- to ensure among the faithful a solid Christian spirit sensitive to “the mystery of Israel” (Romans 11:25), steeped in both a Biblical formation and a spirituality sensitive to Jewish-Christian culture;

- to work for the full integration of Jews who have become Catholics in the Church and in Israeli society;

- to continue to sensitize the Church to her Jewish roots;

- to combat all forms of anti-Semitism."

Christians did not just kill Jews, they killed each other. The above work and document began in 1955. I know many like to hate on certain "denominations". But what denomination has since 1955 spoken to the Jewish Christian as Jews?

Long before the contemporary "Messianic" Judaism/ movemnet became popular amongst the wider church, this above documented work had begun. Those involved with the "Helsinki consultation" Are all Jews, from all denominations including Messianic judaism adherants (Mark Kinzer, of the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical council).

Question? Do some here deny these are all Messianic, Jewish? Or do you see Some as Just "Catholics"or too "catholic friendly"?

Someone did not use the quote mechanism correctly and accidentally ( I presume )

made it appear as though I said what Anne quoted immediately prior to this post.

Okay you know this is an English forum, and you are not complying. I can't imagine how it is that you get kicked off of other forums (sarcasm). You can have a little time off in this thread. If I don't remember in a few days to let you resume posting here, remind me (assuming you actually want to post here).

. . . and no, I don't understand Hebrew, or Zulu, or Afrikaans, or Dutch, just English. Most here (even Jews) will have a better grip of English than Hebrew whether ancient or modern.

There is a question I would like to ask.
Who are we here...
And who are we at home?

So, who am I? When I'm here, I'm a poster who posts at this forum. When I'm home, I'm still a poster who posts at this forum from time to time.

So, who are you? The following is from your first post at this forum.

"Just joined today and I am going to be upfront by saying that I have been banned from all Christian Forums and Facebook, why?
For quoting scriptures! As it stands written in the Holy Writ, Perfect Tense.
Secondly, I am a Afrikaans speaking brother from South Africa, think in Afrikaans, speak English, hence many people in America sometimes don't understand me and my culture, or, resent the fact that I am from South Africa."

Why would anyone resent the fact that you are from South Africa? You are being from South Africa is not a sound reason to ban you from any Christian forum. But if you are seen as argumentative and maybe disrespectful and intolerant of other people's beliefs (including someone's belief that Jesus is a created existence), that might be grounds for a ban.

Also, addressing any mod as "Pappie" may come across as disrespectful, since first you imply that the mod is ignorant ("You don't know me"), and then imply the reason for that is because the mod is a "crocodile".

That's interesting. From their website:

"Rabbi Singer is widely regarded as one of the leading voices countering the efforts of missionaries that target Jews..."

Who are the missionaries that target Jews? What is that supposed to even mean?

One early group would be Jew's for Jesus. The Messianic movement early on had it's own ways of accomplishing this. Then Gentiles (like me) were attracted more than Jew's to the movement.

One reason  it can be hard is they are a stubborn, stiff-necked people. Many years ago in Beverly Hills I worked for a Jewish man (lol yeah just this man..good friend owned allot of land there) and one day there was this other Jewish worker that saw the bible in my hands and said "just remember who wrote that". Not God but them :) Lol not how God sees it but praise God.

I read heaven here. We know knowing God and rejecting Jesus Christ.. well bad idea. But I think most are as Christ said "If you were blind you would have no sin. You say you see your sin remains." Most are blind.  Be nice if we saw treated other as He truly sees us. Just one body. No Jews no Messianic so forth so on. He is the head He is the vine and then body, branches. I remember this man that died then was back and was talking about what he saw. He said it was after all that when the lord reminded him by showing him something he saw there and asked him about it as . What blew him away was HERE he saw black, white, red, yellow (races) but there, not once did it ever come into his mind. He was a black man.

Idolatrous Cities to Be Destroyed

12If, regarding one of the cities the LORD your God is giving you to inhabit, you hear it said 13that wicked men have arisen from among you and have led the people of their city astray, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods” (which you have not known), 14then you must inquire, investigate, and interrogate thoroughly. And if it is established with certainty that this abomination has been committed among you, 15you must surely put the inhabitants of that city to the sword. Devote to destructionc all its people and livestock.

16And you are to gather all its plunder in the middle of the public square, and completely burn the city and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the LORD your God. The city must remain a mound of ruins forever, never to be rebuilt.

17Nothing devoted to destruction shall cling to your hands, so that the LORD will turn from His fierce anger, grant you mercy, show you compassion, and multiply you as He swore to your fathers, 18because you obey the LORD your God, keeping all His commandments I am giving you today and doing what is right in the eyes of the LORD your God. (Deut. 13 BSB)

Should we or should we not examine the 365?

-------------------------

15. In Jesus Christ, Son of God made Man, there shone the plentitude of divine revelation. "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners, spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets last of all, in these days hath spoken to us by His Son" (Heb. i. 1). The sacred books of the Old Testament are exclusively the word of God, and constitute a substantial part of his revelation; they are penetrated by a subdued light, harmonizing with the slow development of revelation, the dawn of the bright day of the redemption. As should be expected in historical and didactic books, they reflect in many particulars the imperfection, the weakness and sinfulness of man. But side by side with innumerable touches of greatness and nobleness, they also record the story of the chosen people, bearers of the Revelation and the Promise, repeatedly straying from God and turning to the world. Eyes not blinded by prejudice or passion will see in this prevarication, as reported by the Biblical history, the luminous splendor of the divine light revealing the saving plan which finally triumphs over every fault and sin. It is precisely in the twilight of this background that one perceives the striking perspective of the divine tutorship of salvation, as it warms, admonishes, strikes, raises and beautifies its elect. Nothing but ignorance and pride could blind one to the treasures hoarded in the Old Testament.

16. Whoever wishes to see banished from church and school the Biblical history and the wise doctrines of the Old Testament, blasphemes the name of God, blasphemes the Almighty's plan of salvation, and makes limited and narrow human thought the judge of God's designs over the history of the world: he denies his faith in the true Christ, such as He appeared in the flesh, the Christ who took His human nature from a people that was to crucify Him; and he understands nothing of that universal tragedy of the Son of God who to His torturer's sacrilege opposed the divine and priestly sacrifice of His redeeming death, and made the new alliance the goal of the old alliance, its realization and its crown.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
