Switching subjects to the now King Charles. That triggered a memory of something I read a long time ago. I purchased a book titled, “Antichrist and a Cup of Tea,” by someone I think named Cohen. The gist of the book was that the author suspected Prince Charles could be the Antichrist. As far as I remember, he made a good argument for his case.

During the commotion when the Queen died, I went to my library to dig it out and reread it, and I could not find the book. Then I remembered several years ago; I had more books than shelves. I donated many books to our local library (now regretted). I now remember it included the book I was searching for because I thought it was borderline nonsense at the time. Still could be?

I checked Amazon and every major bookseller to get another copy, hopefully, electronic, and no one carries it anymore.

I now have 1,584 books, not counting what is on my library shelves. What would I do if most of them were physical books LOL.

 

Hi Brother-

In my old house,prior to downsizing to a Condo I had a library room- my favorite room in the house. I donated mostly all of them,kept very few (:which is probably far many more books than most have)when I moved and I understand that regret-I can't tell you how many times I think of some topic & go looking for a particular book that had the information I want & recall

Advice to others- keep every book!❤️

No.   The reason it's colder at the poles is the same reason it gets cold at lower latitudes in the winter.   It has to do with how much thermal energy per square meter is received by the land.   The lower the angle of the sun, the less thermal energy absorbed.

There are other issues like albedo (reflectivity) and greenhouse gases, but so far it's mostly the angle of the sunlight.

My Dad was stationed in Elmendorf, Alaska in the 1950s - I was born on base but we lived in Fairbanks after Anchorage.... I have only a couple of photos of Anchorage

One day I was watching a documentary about Alaska & couldn't finish watching so I recorded it- when I got back to resume I saw a scene that reminded me of one of those photos- so I paused the movie &:went searching for the photo

To my surprise it was the exact location only the mountains of snow & ice had melted away over the span of 60 yrs .so the landscape had drastically changed....what appeared to be a huge mountain in the 1950s was barely a hill--- it was a shocking sight,it lead me to search out comparison photos of land ,& sea scapes in Alaska over time...   Wow!

Anyway,I wonder about " global warming" as our winters here are much colder than I ever remember,used to be but a few cold days & now weeks- summers used to be stifling hot but now not so much.     So there's definitely a change ,a shift but I'm not so convinced that it's all about global warming- yes,areas have been affected but what about the places with decreases temps---I don't believe man has a thing to do with these cyclic events and changes in our atmosphere.....

I think a lot of global warming was man's desire to melt the North Pole so they could go in and extract the fossil fuel. The very first thing Obiden did when he was in office was to shut down the pipeline going to the North Pole so he could make us dependent on the fossil fuel from the Middle East. 

The current administration does not get along with Putin. Before the war was fought in Syria. Now the war is being fought in Ukraine.   Putin was esp mad when they took out the bridge that connected the Ukraine with Russia. Because that was the route he used for all of what has been stolen during the war. 

Like I said, I see no evidence for Global Climate Change.

The current issue has to do with flood surges.  Climate change has been going on for 14,000 years. Florida use to be a lot bigger than what it is now. The building codes in Miami have been changed, so they have to build three feet higher. There was major flooding in places like NYC and New Orleans. 

There is an alternative if you are into conspiracy theories. There are people who believe that the government is controlling the weather using NOAA. HAARP. This is why the North Pole is melting, so they can go in and extract the oil that is there. Also, there is a NOAA in Florida. 

I talked to someone once who was in weather in the military. He had a high security clearance and could not talk about it. But he did indicate that there was something going on in that regard. Even though they have an open door policy, he said not to trust or believe that nothing is going on. 

My aunt had a condo in Florida that she sold because she did not want to keep having to pay for all the storm damage that you have to deal with in that State. 

So if global warming doesn't cost you money out of your pocket, wonderful. Be glad and rejoice. Not everyone can make that claim.

You say things as if they are fact, but have not proven anything.  

How many of us were there to report the alleged 14,000 years ago?  Again, any eye witness proof?  Maybe a satellite photo from 14,000 years ago would be acceptable evidence.
