The Lion in the book of Revelation refers to Jesus Christ.

The lion that refers to Jesus in Revelation is in Revelation 4:5, He's the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

The lion in Rev. 13 correlates to the lion in Daniel  7:4 that represents the Babylonian empire.

There no mention of a lion in Revelation 4:5

Revelation 4:5

And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the[seven Spirits of God.

Suit yourself. The Lion in Revelation 13 refers to Jesus Christ.

I believe Mystery Babylon spoken of in Rev 18 is NYC.

Rev 18 says MB is a 'great' merchant CITY that has seaports and does business with the entire world and reigns over the kings of the earth.  The word 'great city' refers to 'mega city' in greek.  NYC is the world's largest mega city and is the wealthiest exporter and importer of goods of all cities in the world.  NYC has been dubbed the "Captial of the World" due to trade alliances and diplomacy with the world.  NYC also is the home of United Nations HQ which reigns over the kings of the earth.  MB is said to be responsible for the blood of the prophets and saints, therefore people assume this is referring to Jews and therefore Jerusalem, but did you know the NYC has more Jews living there than any other city in the world.  Jerusalem is not a merchant city much less a "mega" city and also has no seaports.  Also says MB will be destroyed and will never shine a light in her again nor the voice of the bridegroom be ever heard in her again. No light nor bridegroom. If this is referring to Jerusalem being destroyed this poses a huge problem if Messiah is coming back to rule from Jerusalem when He is the Light of the Nations and He is also called the Bridegroom.  MB is described as a proud Queen (Statue of Liberty) who sits upon the waters, who says I will never see sorrow, and represents many people and nationalities.  NYC is the melting pot of the world, with the world's largest mix of nationalities and ethnicities. Jerusalem has been conquered many times and has seen many sorrows and does sit upon the waters and does not represent many nationalities.  This MB was a mystery city, meaning a city that had not been revealed to John...Jerusalem or Rome was no mystery to John during his day.

I agree. While the United States as a whole is not Babylon, the Babylonian empire had a representative city and New York fits the picture. Before I understood that the winged lion in Daniel represented Babylon, I had a dream that a winged lion was standing behind the Statue of liberty. In the spiritual level, however, Babylon also represents an apostate church  that will allow herself to be carried by the beast. This is why the beast hates her and turns on her in the end. What led people to believe that she was Rome was her colors (Rev. 17:4) which match the colors of the Catholic church, but those colors were first associated with the Jews in  Proverbs 31:21,22.  Also there are seven hills around Jerusalem, not just Rome.

Sorry I mistyped, Jesus is the Lion in Rev. 5:5. Ask yourself, the beast in Revelation is the last evil world empire. Why would Jesus be part of it's construction? You can't understand the symbolism in Revelation properly unless you study Daniel. The animals that comprise the beast's body represented three previous world empires in Daniel and the Lion represents Babylon in Daniel. To insist that it represents Jesus isn't logical based on the scriptural evidence.

Revelation 5:5 It is a description of Christ, "the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David". The allusion to the lion is a reference to Genesis 49:9-10, where it is predicted that the future ruler of the earth would come from the tribe of Judah, the lion tribe, which is the tribe into which Jesus was born.

False. The beast from the sea is described as having a mouth like a lion. It is simply a metaphorical way of communicating the fierce sound of the Blasphemous Empire Actualising Satanic Tyranny.

I agree. The Lion of Judah in Rev. 5:5 is Jesus and is prophesized in Genesis as you said. The lion in Rev. 13, is symbolic of Babylon and a world power in the last days  that is part of the last one world government.

"Mystery Babylon the great, the mother of all harlots and abominations of the earth."
Revelation 17:4-5

They call themselves the mystery schools.

Three city states secretly rule the world;
Vatican City, The City of London and Washington D.C.
They each answer to the same one clandestine king.
In the past his kingship was not very secret,
in the future his kingship will be out in the open, again.

The first beast of Revelation 13 is that clandestine king,
seemingly healed from death in some marvelous world changing way.
The second beast is the false prophet,
one claiming to be Jesus and yet, venerating, the first beast.

I've heard some say that it's the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) but I believe that the depraved U.S. culture (Godless, abortion, same-sex relationships, pedophilia, transgenderism, etc.) has a greater and more evil influence upon the world.

But perhaps I'm misunderstanding the verses.  What are your thoughts, please?

The daughters of Babylon go from Babylon to Persian/Medes to Greece to Rome and the children of Rome as in Europe and England then the US of A. so yea that’s very posable. But the western cultures including Rome have a long history of decadence and debauchery.

If my memory serves when the Lord would callout Israel and call them whores or that they go a whoring, its usually that they follow after someone else, or other god’s and disregard Him. Like a wife would when she has disdain for her husband. Today’s version would be a leader betraying his people for gain and influences. and He can say that because they had a covenant with Him and they betrayed it, hence betraying the Lord their God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
