Maybe, but that doesn't exclude it happening elsewhere does it?

Already we are seeing priests, evangelists, and others professing Christianity being arrested and imprisoned for it in places like Canada, the United States, and several European countries that are giving themselves over to false and secular religious beliefs.

It won't be governments alone that do the killings of Christians, it will be all sorts of non-governmental groups and individuals that hate them as well as governments.  This is seen beginning today in places like Mexico with the Satanic and occultic cartels taking the lead in it (beheading by them is becoming more and more common there).

This will happen when the beast and anti-christ  are in control of the world system.

Serving the devil in the church age (which is where we are right now) is not the same as having the mark of the beast.

The lost can still be saved today, but those who take the mark of the beast will not be able to be saved.

This is what seems to be true in my understanding, but a question just came to mind as I was thinking about it:  How should a Christian treat those carrying the Mark?  Are they to be treated the same as the anti-Christians are today with full respect due them under God's laws  about men  or differently?

A Christian would only ever encounter anyone with the mark of the beast if they were a tribulation saint (saved after the rapture).

The mark of the beast is confined to the tribulation.

The tribulation saint would have no chance to convert a worshipper of the beast, which is what anyone with the mark is.

I'm pretty sure scripture is talking about the pleasant land where the little horn resides.

We are not told exactly how it will be implemented but we are told that everyone who takes it will be not be able to be saved.

You state that…“When”…the beast and the anti-christ are in control of the “world system.” You are of the opinion…that is yet in the future…so naturally then the MOTB would not exist yet…ok I see your reasoning.

Who is in control of the “world system” right now?

Did I understand you to say…that serving the devil aka Satan…dragon…serpent…in this current “church age” today…is not counted as having the MOTB? So the beast is not yet in any way in control or power over the “world system” as you see it…ok...interesting? You also say the serving the devil and the beast is different?

As I understand it…the MOTB is that “mark” that signifies those whom are enslaved to the beast…it signifies to whom ones soul is pledged…whom ones master is…to whom one is subservient...the one that those with the MOTB worship. 

Interestingly...as it is written…”…all the world marveled and followed the beast…So they worshiped the dragon [Satan, devil, serpent] who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast.” So how is serving/worshipping the devil not the same as serving/worshipping the beast? 

As you are presenting it here…BibleWords...the beast is not Satan the dragon? Who happens to be both the “spirit” of the devil and the “spirit” that empowers the beast one and the same?   

Who is the beast…if he is not the devil and Satan incarnate in some form? Who is accredited as the source of the beast’s authority? The authority by which the MOTB is issued?

Maybe a better way to ask that would be who is gaining control of the world system right now?

The way I see it is that there is still a fight among those in high places for control taking place at this time with an eventual unifying "who" not yet fully decided.

But that's just the way I see it.
